Angiotensin II (Ang II) is the main mediator of the Renin-Angiotensin-System acting on AT1 and other AT receptors. It is regarded as a pleiotropic agent that induces many actions, including functioning as a growth factor, and as a contractile hormone, among others. The aim of this work was to examine the impact of Ang II on the expression and function of α1-adrenergic receptors (α1-ARs) in cultured rat aorta, and aorta-derived smooth muscle cells. Isolated Wistar rat aorta was incubated for 24 h in dMEM at 37˚C, then subjected to isometric tension and to the action of added norepinephrine, in concentration-response curves. Ang II was added (1 × 10−5 M), and in some experiments, 5-Methylurapidil (α1A-AR antagonist), AH11110A (α1B-AR antagonist), or BMY-7378 (α1d-AR antagonist), were used to identify the α1-AR involved in the response. desensitization of the contractile response to norepinephrine was observed due to incubation time, and by the Ang II action. α1d-AR was protected from desensitization by BMY-7378;while RS-100329 and prazosin partially mitigated desensitization. In another set of experiments, isolated aorta-derived smooth muscle cells were exposed to Ang II and α1-ARs proteins were evaluated. α1d-AR increased at 30 and 60 min post Ang II exposure, the α1A-AR diminished from 1 to 4 h, while α1B-AR remained unchanged over 24 h of Ang II exposure. Ang II induced an increase of α1d-AR at short times, and BMY-7378 protected α1d-AR from desensitization.

This work investigated the influence of silver plasmon and reduced graphene oxide(r GO)on the photoelectrochemical performance(PEC)of Zn O thin films synthesized by the sol-gel *** physicochemical properties of the obtained photo-anodes were systematically studied by using several characterization *** x-ray diffraction analysis showed that all samples presented hexagonal wurtzite structure with a polycrystalline *** and energy dispersive x-ray(EdX)studies confirmed the existence of both Ag and r GO in Zn O:Ag/r GO thin *** estimated grain size obtained from scanning electron microscopy(SEM)analysis decreased with Ag doping,then increased to a maximum value after r GO *** UV-vis transmission spectra of the as-prepared Zn O:Ag and Zn O:Ag/r GO thin films have shown a reduction in the visible range with a redshift at the absorption *** bandgaps were estimated to be around 3.17 e V,2.7 e V,and 2.52 e V for Zn O,Zn O:Ag,and Zn O:Ag/r GO,***,the electrical measurements revealed that the charge exchange processes were enhanced at the Zn O:Ag/r GO/electrolyte interface,accompanied by an increase in the(PEC)performance compared to Zn O and Zn O:Ag ***,the photocurrent density of Zn O:Ag/r GO(0.2 m A·cm^(-2)) was around 4 and 2.22 times higher than photo-anodes based on undoped Zn O(0.05 m A·cm^(-2)) and Zn O:Ag(0.09 m A·cm^(-2)),***,from the flat band potential and donor density,deduced from the Mott-Schottky,it was clear that all the samples were n-type semiconductors with the highest carrier density for the Zn O:Ag/r GO photo-anode.

The requirements of growth and organ development create a challenge in nutritional management of newborn infants,especially premature newborn and intestinal-failure *** their feeding may increase the risk of necrotizing enterocolitis,some high-risk infants receive a small volume of feeding or parenteral nutrition (PN) without enteral *** review summarizes the current research progress in the nutritional management of newborn *** of MEdLINE (1998-2007),Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (The Cochrane Library,Issue 3,2007),abstracts and conference proceedings,references from relevant publications in the English language were performed,showing that breast milk is the preferred source of nutrients for enteral feeding of newborn *** number of nutrients found in human milk was recommended as a guideline in establishing the minimum and maximum levels in infant *** fear of necrotizing enterocolitis and feeding intolerance are the major factors limiting the use of the enteral route as the primary means of nourishing premature *** may help to meet many of the nutritional needs of these infants,but has significant detrimental side *** feedings (small volume of feeding given at the same rate for at least 5 d) during PN are a strategy to enhance the feeding tolerance and decrease the side effects of PN and the time to achieve full *** milk is a key component of any strategy for enteral nutrition of all ***,the amounts of calcium,phosphorus,zinc and other nutrients are inadequate to meet the needs of the very low birth weight (VLBW) infants during ***,safe and effective means to fortify human milk are essential to the care of VLBW infants.

本文分析的临床资料来源于2016年1月至2022年12月湖南省人民医院肝胆外科,确诊为十二指肠乳头混合性神经内分泌-非神经内分泌肿瘤的7例患者。7例患者中,男5例,女2例,平均年龄59.3岁,其临床特点与壶腹部恶性肿瘤相似,较难鉴别,术前穿刺活检阳性率较低,术前诊断困难,预后较差,正电子发射计算机断层显像(PET/CT)对胃肠道神经内分泌肿瘤的辅助分级和预后评估有所帮助,包括手术、化疗和放疗在内的综合治疗或可作为本病首选的治疗方案。本组行腹腔镜下胰十二指肠切除术(LPd)者5例,行开腹胰十二指肠切除术(OPd)者2例,1例患者LPd术后因腹腔大出血死亡,其余患者术后均顺利出院。

Radiolarian and Planktic Foraminifera Biostratigraphy of the Early Albian Organic Rich Beds of Fahdene Formation,Northern Tunisia

The lower part of Fahdene Formation outcropping in northeastern Tunisia is repre- sented by pelagic sequences and characterized by an important siliciclastic fraction that includes ra- diolarian and organic-rich beds of Allam Member. Litho-biostratigraphic analysis based on planktic foraminifera and radiolaria shows that deposition of organic-rich beds of Allam Member is confined to the Microhedbergella rischi Zone through the lower part of Ticinella primula Zone. Age diagnostic radiolaria recovered from these beds has been identified to constrain a direct age of black shale depo- sition. The assemblages can be correlated with the radiolarian biochronozone U.A.10-11 indicating an Early Albian to early Middle Albian in age. Radiolarian assemblages composed of species characteris- tic of U.A.10 biochronozone （A. montisserei, d. gracilis） are associated with radiolarian taxa belonging to Costata Zone （U.A.9 Pseudoeucyrtis hanni and Thanarla pseudodecora）, which can be correlated with dercourt Member in the Ionian Zone and Paquier level of the Vocontian Basin （southeast of France）. Biostratigraphic and abundance curves analysis has demonstrated significant diversification of cryptocephalic Nassellaria and Archaeodictyomitrae, probably adapted to eutrophic conditions that characterized the Aptian-Albian transition. Ecological conditions may have governed the stratigraphic range of many cosmopolitan taxa （i.e., Pseudodictyomitrae lodogaensis） compared with stratigraphic distributions schemes reported from other domains. The timing of black shales deposition was dia- chronic due to local geodynamic conditions and upwelling currents distribution. The Allam black shales are correlative with the oceanic anoxic event OAElb which is characterized by the widespread of supraregionnally organic-rich beds in the Mediterranean Tethys basins across the Aptian-Albian transition.

This paper presents a numerical investigation on the structural performance of an innovative noise barrier consisting of poly-block, rigid polyurethane foam （RPF） and polyurea. The mechanical characteristics of RPF as well as the flexural resistance of the proposed wall system （poly-wall） were established and presented in another study. The experimental results are used in the current study to develop, calibrate and verify 3d finite element （FE） models of the wall system. The components of the poly-wall including steel rebars, poly-blocks and RPF cores were simulated and then verified using the results of experiments conducted on the wall components. The results of numerical analysis exhibited a satisfactory agreement with the experimental outcomes for the entire wall system. The verified numerical models were then used to conduct a parametric study on the performance of poly-wall models under uniform wind load and gravity load. The findings of the current study confirmed that the structural performance of poly-wall is satisfactory for noise barrier application. Simulation techniques for improvement of the numerical analysis of multi-martial 3d FE models were discussed.

Ammonia (NH_(3)) plays a key role in the agricultural fertilizer and commodity chemical industries and is useful for exploring hydrogen storage *** electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR) is receiving attention as an environmentally sustainable NH_(3) synthesis replacement for the traditional haber–Bosch process owing to its near ambient reaction conditions (d 1 atm).However,its NH_(3) yield and faradaic efficiency are extremely low because of the sluggish kinetics of N≡N bond dissociation and the hindrance from competitive hydrogen *** overcome these challenges,we herein introduce a dual-functionalized ionic liquid (1-(4-hydroxybutyl)-3-methylimidazolium hydroxide[HOBIM]OH) for a highly dispersed ruthenium oxide electrocatalyst to achieve a biased *** observed uniform distribution of RuO_(2) on the carbon fiber and increase in the surface area for N_(2) adsorption by limiting proton access can be attributed to the presence of imidazolium ***,extensive N_(2) adsorption contributes to enhanced NRR selectivity with an NH_(3) yield of 3.0×10^(-10)mol cm^(-2)s^(-1)(91.8μg h^(-1)mg^(-1)) and a faradaic efficiency of 2.2%at-0.20 V_(RHE).We expect our observations to provide new insights into the design of effective electrode structures for electrochemical NH;synthesis.

In Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography(SPECT),the reconstructed image has insufficient contrast,poor resolution and inaccurate volume of the tumor size due to physical degradation ***,nonstationary filtering of the projection or the slice is one of the strategies for correcting the resolution and therefore improving the quality of the reconstructed SPECT *** paper presents a new 3d algorithm that enhances the quality of reconstructed thoracic SPECT images and reduces the noise level with the best degree of *** suggested algorithm is composed of three *** first one consists of denoising the acquired projections using the benefits of the complementary properties of both the Curvelet transformand theWavelet transforms to provide the best noise *** second step is a simultaneous reconstruction of the axial slices using the 3d Ordered Subset Expectation Maximization(OSEM)*** last step is post-processing of the reconstructed axial slices using one of the newest anisotropic diffusion models named Partial differential Equation(PdE).The method is tested on two digital phantoms and clinical bone SPECT images.A comparative study with four algorithms reviewed on state of the art proves the significance of the proposed *** simulated data,experimental results show that the plot profile of the proposed model keeps close to the original one compared to the other ***,it presents a notable gain in terms of contrast to noise ratio(CNR)and execution *** proposed model shows better results in the computation of contrast metric with a value of 0.68±7.2 and the highest signal to noise ratio(SNR)with a value of 78.56±6.4 in real *** experimental results prove that the proposed algorithm is more accurate and robust in reconstructing SPECT images than the other *** could be considered a valuable candidate to correct the resolution of bone in the SPECT images.

Permafrost degradation has been widely reported on the Tibetan Plateau(TP).However,directly observed evidence of permafrost thawing processes and degradation rates are very limited,although it is expected to be prevalent near the periphery of a permafrost ***,we report permafrost changes and disappearance in the Qilian Mountains(northeastern TP)based on three boreholes instrumented along a 100 m transect during 2014–*** results show that permafrost has significantly degraded in the study area:the mean downward thawing rate from the permafrost table was about 0.16 m per year while the mean upward thawing rate from the permafrost base was about 0.23 m per *** estimate the mean lateral degradation rate of permafrost in this area was∼4.14 m per *** dramatically,the 1.5 m thick permafrost layer at one of the boreholes thawed completely between April of 2018 and december of *** results indicate that changes in climatic condition may have played only a limited role in controlling the active layer thickness in the vicinity of the altitudinal limit of permafrost;moisture content and soil conditions play key roles in site-specific permafrost *** study provides new quantitative insights for understanding changes near the altitudinal limit of permafrost,and we suggest that land surface models or Earth system model studies of the lateral heat exchanges should be implemented in order to better represent permafrost thawing processes.
