Achieving an efficient and stable heterogeneous Fenton reaction over a wide pH range is of great significance for wastewater ***,a pollen-derived biochar catalyst with a unique honeycomb-like structure,coupled with the dispersion of magnetic Fe_(3)O_(4)/FeS(Fe/S)nanoparticles,was synthesized by simple impregnation precursor,followed by *** prepared Fe/S-biochar catalyst demonstrated outstanding phenol degradation efficiency across a wide pH range,with 98%of which eliminated even under neutral conditions(pH 7.0).The high catalytic activity was due to the multilevel porous structure of pollenderived biochar provided enough active sites and allowed for better electron transfer,then increases oxidation ability to promote the ***,the acid microenvironment formed by SO_(4)^(2-)group from Fe/S composite extended the pH range for Fenton reaction,and S^(2-)facilitated the conversion of≡Fe^(3+)to≡Fe^(2+),resulting in remarkable degradation ***,biochar can effectively promote cycling stability by limiting Fe *** work may provide a general strategy for designing 3d framework biochar-based Fe/S catalysts with excellent performance for heterogeneous Fenton reactions.

The emergence of microhemispherical resonant gyroscopes,which integrate the advantages of exceptional stability and long lifetime with miniaturization,has afforded new possibilities for the development of whole-angle ***,existing methods used for manufacturing microhemispherical resonant gyroscopes based on MEMS technology face the primary drawback of intricate and costly ***,we report the design,fabrication,and characterization of the first 3d-printable microhemispherical shell resonator for a Coriolis vibrating *** remarkably achieve fabrication in just two steps bypassing the dozen or so steps required in traditional *** utilizing the intricate shaping capability and ultrahigh precision offered by projection microstereolithography,we fabricate 3d high-aspect-ratio resonant structures and controllable capacitive air gaps,both of which are extremely difficult to obtain via MEMS *** addition,the resonance frequency of the fabricated resonators can be tuned by electrostatic forces,and the fabricated resonators exhibit a higher quality factor in air than do typical MEMS microhemispherical *** work demonstrates the feasibility of rapidly batch-manufacturing microhemispherical shell resonators,paving the way for the development of microhemispherical resonator gyroscopes for portable inertial ***,this particular design concept could be further applied to increase uptake of resonator tools in the MEMS community.

Background Goose, descendants of migratory ancestors, have undergone extensive selective breeding, resulting in their remarkable ability to accumulate fat in the liver and exhibit a high tolerance for significant energy intake. As a result, goose offers an excellent model for studying obesity, metabolic disorders, and liver diseases in mammals. Although the impact of the three-dimensional arrangement of chromatin within the cell nucleus on gene expression and transcriptional regulation is widely acknowledged, the precise functions of chromatin architecture reorganization during fat deposition in goose liver tissues still need to be fully *** In this study, geese exhibited more pronounced changes in the liver index and triglyceride(TG) content following the consumption of the high-fat diet(HFd) than mice without significant signs of inflammation. Additionally, we performed comprehensive analyses on 10 goose liver tissues(5 HFd, 5 normal), including generating highresolution maps of chromatin architecture, conducting whole-genome gene expression profiling, and identifying H3K27ac peaks in the livers of geese and mice subjected to the HFd. Our results unveiled a multiscale restructuring of chromatin architecture, encompassing Compartment A/B, topologically associated domains, and interactions between promoters and enhancers. The dynamism of the three-dimensional genome architecture, prompted by the HFd, assumed a pivotal role in the transcriptional regulation of crucial genes. Furthermore, we identified genes that regulate chromatin conformation changes, contributing to the metabolic adaptation process of lipid deposition and hepatic fat changes in geese in response to excessive energy intake. Moreover, we conducted a cross-species analysis comparing geese and mice exposed to the HFd, revealing unique characteristics specific to the goose liver compared to a mouse. Large eddy simulations generally are used to predict 3d wind field characteristics in complex mountainous *** simulation boundary conditions,such as the height and length of the computational domain or the characteristics of inflow turbulence,can significantly impact the quality of *** this study,we examined these boundary conditions within the context of the mountainous terrain around a long-span cable-stayed bridge using a wind tunnel *** sizes of computational domains and turbulent incoming wind velocities were used in large eddy *** results show that when the height of the computational domain is five times greater than the height of the terrain model,there is minimal influence from the top wall on the wind field characteristics in this complex mountainous *** the length of the wake region of the computational domain has negligible effects on the wind *** in the inlet boundary reduces the length of the wake region on a leeward hill with a low slope,but has less impact on the mean wind velocity of steep hills.

Edge computing, which achieves quick data processing by sinking data computing and storage to the network edge, has grown rapidly along with the Internet of things. The new network architecture of edge computing brings new security challenges. Based on this, this paper investigates the edge computing security literature published in recent years and summarizes and analyzes research work on edge computing security from different attack surfaces. We start with the definition and architecture of edge computing. From the attack surface between device and edge server, as well as on edge servers, the research describes the security threats and defense methods of edge computing. In addition, the cause of the attack and the pros and cons of defense methods is introduced. The challenges and future research directions of edge computing are given.

Big Bang nucleosynthesis(BBN)theory predicts the primordial abundances of the light elements^(2) H(referred to as deuterium,or d for short),^(3)he,^(4)he,and^(7) Li produced in the early *** these,deuterium,the first nuclide produced by BBN,is a key primordial material for subsequent *** date,the uncertainty in predicted deuterium abundance(d/H)remains larger than the observational *** this study,the Monte Carlo simulation code PRIMAT was used to investigate the sensitivity of 11 important BBN reactions to deuterium *** found that the reaction rate uncertainties of the four reactions d(d,n)^(3)he,d(d,p)t,d(p,γ)^(3)he,and p(n,γ)d had the largest influence on the calculated d/H ***,the calculated d/H uncertainty cannot reach observational precision even with the recent LUNA precise d(p,γ)^(3) he *** the nuclear physics aspect,there is still room to largely reduce the reaction-rate uncertainties;hence,further measurements of the important reactions involved in BBN are still necessary.A photodisintegration experiment will be conducted at the Shanghai Laser Electron Gamma Source Facility to precisely study the deuterium production reaction of p(n,γ)d.

Based on a semi-resolved CFd-dEM coupling method,this study proposed a method that uses the minimum distance between the fluid grid and the particle boundary as a reference value to determine the degree of influence of the target fluid grid on the particle's drag force.A fluidized bed of rod-like particles was chosen as a typical case to investigate the effect of different fluid grid scales on various fluidized bed characteristic *** calculation performance of the semi-resolved and unre-solved CFd-dEM coupling algorithm on key fluidized bed characteristic parameters such as average pressure drop,particle frequency distribution with bed height,and particle orientation distribution were *** was found that the semi-resolved CFd-dEM coupling algorithm gradually obtained results with higher consistency with decreasing fluid grid scale for key parameters such as particle frequency distribution with bed height,particle orientation distribution,and time-history mixing index,exhibiting a phenomenon similar to grid independence in fluid *** comparing with experimental results,it was verified that the semi-resolved CFd-dEM coupling algorithm can be applied to simulate multi-granular gas-solid systems with fluid grid scales equivalent to particle *** algorithm solves the limitation of fluid grid scale in the unresolved CFd-dEM coupling framework and improves the grid adaptability of the CFd-dEM coupling simulation algorithm.

Effects of Crosswise Appendage Plate Flexibility on the drag Reduction Characteristics of Cylinder

In engineering applications (Like an ocean riser), fluid flow around bluff bodies generates substantial resistance, which can jeopardize structural integrity, lifespan, and escalate resource consumption. Therefore, employing drag reduction measures becomes particularly crucial. This paper employs the immersed boundary method to investigate the impact of transversely oriented appendage plate flexibility on the drag of cylinders under different Reynolds numbers and distances. The results indicate that flexible appendage plate exerts drag reduction effects on the downstream cylinder, with this effect gradually diminishing as Reynolds numbers increase. At identical Reynolds numbers, the drag reduction effect initially increases and then decreases with distance, with the optimal drag reduction distance observed at d = 2.5. Compared to cylinders without appendage plate, the maximum drag reduction achieved is 30.551%. Addressing the drag reduction issue in cylinders holds significant importance for ensuring engineering structural integrity, enhancing engineering efficiency, and developing novel underwater towing systems.
