Nanometer-sized particles with heights from 1.6 to 2.9 nm were first observed. On the basis of these observations the growth mechanism of magnetron sputtered films is discussed.

Foreign versus domestic institutional investors in emerging markets: Who contributes more to firm-specific information flow?

Using a large sample of firms listed on the Korea Stock Exchange over 1998–2007, this study investigates whether and how trading by foreign and domestic institutional investors improves the extent to which firm-specific information is incorporated into stock prices, captured by stock price synchronicity. We find,first, that stock price synchronicity decreases significantly with the intensity of trading by foreign investors and domestic institutional investors. Second,trading by foreign investors facilitates the incorporation of firm-specific information into stock prices to a greater extent than trading by aggregate domestic institutions. Third, among domestic institutions with differing investment horizons, short-term investing institutions, such as securities and investment trust companies, play a more important role in incorporating firm-specific information into stock prices via their trading activities, compared with long-term investing institutions, such as banks and insurance ***, we provide evidence suggesting that trading by foreign and domestic short-term institutions reduces the extent of accrual mispricing. Our results are robust to a variety of sensitivity checks.

We study the hawking radiation of 3D rotating hairy black holes. Specifically, we compute the transition probability of bosonic and fermionic particles in such backgrounds. Then, we show that the transition probability is independent of the nature of the particle. It is observed that the charge of the scalar hairy B and the rotation parameter a control such a probability.

The present study was carried out in Jammu and Kashmir （India） and twelve sites spread across the entire state were selected. Variability studies in different seed sources of Cedrus deodara with respect to cone, seed and seedling traits were studies. The studies revealed significant variation in different cone and seed characteristics studied. A negative correlation existed in cone diam- eter and cone weight with altitude. Seed morphological characteristics （seed length, width and weight）, seed germination and number of cotyledons which form the basis of selecting and delineating provenances also correlated negatively with altitude. Cone length and diameter, seed length and width and hypocotyl length increased from North to South and correlated negatively with latitude. The results further revealed the superiority ＆heavier cones and seeds with respect to seed germination. The study reveals that for delineating seed zones, provenance selection should be within an altitudinal range of 1500-1900 m a.s.l, and northern aspect seed sources be preferred.

Ultraviolet aging of porous asphalt concrete is more serious than that of dense-grade concrete,attributing to its relatively high air void structure. And Tafpack-Super (TPS) is widely used as an asphalt viscosifier. For the purpose of determining the effect of TPS content on resistance to ultraviolet aging,TPS powder was added to base asphalt in various weight ratios (0%,4%,8%,12% and 16%). After mixing,the loose mixtures were short-term aged and then put in the Indoor Accelerated Ultraviolet Radiation Aging Oven for several particular times and then were compacted by Gyratory Compactor at 20%±2% air void. The specimens were tested and recorded by means of indirect tensile strength (ITS) to quantify the aging extent. The results show that 8% TPS by weight is the optimum content of base asphalt on resistance to ultraviolet aging. And the ITS of mixtures with different binder reach a peak value for approximately 2 h ultraviolet irradiation.

The infiuence of cerium on grnin boundaries of polycrpstalline N3Al alloys has beenstudied. The ja6mcability of a Ce-doped N3Al alloy strongly depends on the certumcontent. The alloy exhibits very poor fabrica6ility and cannot be fabrtcated into goodsheet8 by cold rolling when the concentmtion of cerium is 0.044wt%.A 0.011wt%Ce-doped N3Al alloy exhibits relatively good fabricability and may be fab-ricated into useful sheets by repeated cold rolling with 1OOa C annealing. The ductilityof the alloy strongly depends on the cerium distribution. Wthout the grain boundaryprecipitation of a second phase containing cer1um) the higher the segmpation level ofcerzum, the 6ettcr the tensile properties of the alloys, and in turn the more enhancedthe grain boundary cohesion.

A wild strain of Flammulina velutipes indigenous to Iran has been recently adapted for artificial cultivation,requiring nutritional information in order to improve its utilization as a medicinal-culinary ***,the current study aimed to evaluate protein profile of this domesticated wild *** strain over six different developmental stages,in comparison with a commercially cultivated strain of *** macro-and microelements were also investigated in the mature sporomes cultivated in a lignocellulosic substrate composed of 40%wheat straw+40%sawdust+18%wheat bran+1%lime+1%*** lowest and highest amounts of protein were observed in primordia(33%of dry matter)and sporomes picked at the third or fifth day of harvesting(57%of dry matter),respectively(p≤0.05),followed by an obvious decrease in protein content at the late stages of harvesting(p≤0.05).Further SDS-PAGE analyses revealed that the protein molecular mass increased from less than 30 kDa in primordia to 235 kDa in mature ***,no significant difference in protein profiling was noticed between the wild and the reference strains of any given stage(p≥0.05).While nutritional elements such as K,P and Mg were found at 886.9,745.2,and 142.7 mg/100 g of dry weight,respectively,no heavy metals was found at levels higher than the provisional maximum tolerable intake in the *** study may be considered an initial step towards recognition of the wild *** as a non-toxic functional food,warranting further proteomics studies.

An advanced along-track scanning radiometer(AATSR)global multi-year aerosol retrieval algorithm is *** land,the AATSR dual-view(ADV)algorithm utilizes the measured top of the atmosphere(TOA)reflectance in both the nadir and forward views to decouple the contributions of the atmosphere and the surface to retrieve aerosol *** ocean,the AATSR single-view(ASV)algorithm minimizes the discrepancy between the measured and modelled TOA reflectances in one of the views to retrieve the aerosol information using an ocean reflectance *** steps to process global,multiyear aerosol information are *** include cloud screening,the averaging of measured reflectance,and *** of the algorithms are also *** main product of the aerosol retrieval is the aerosol optical depth(AOD)at visible/near-infrared *** retrieved AOD is validated using data from the surface-based AERONET and maritime aerosol network(MAN)sun photometer networks as *** validation shows good agreement with the reference(r=0.85,RMSE=0.09 over land;r=0.83,RMSE=0.09 at coasts and r=0.96,RMSE=0.06 over open ocean).The results of the aerosol retrievals are presented for the full AATSR mission years 2002–2012 with seasonally averaged time series for selected regions.
