Underground coal mining is one of the most dangerous occupations throughout the *** reasons behind an underground occupational accident are too complex to analyze mainly due to many uncertainties which may arise from geological,operational conditions of the mine or individual characteristics of *** study proposes implementing a quantitative methodology for the analysis and assessment of hazards associated with occupational *** application of the proposed approach is performed on the mines of Turkish hard Coal Enterprises(TTK).The accidents in TTK between the years 2000 and 2014 are firstly statistically analyzed with respect to the number,type and location of accidents,age,experience,education level and main duty of the casualties and also injuries resulting from such *** hazards are classified as individual,operational and locational hazards and quantified using contingency tables,conditional and total probability *** and upper boundaries of hazards are determined and event trees for each hazard class are *** hazard evaluation results show that Armutcuk,Karadon and Uzulmez mines have relatively high hazard levels while Amasra and Kozlu mines have relatively lower hazard values.

Abstract In this work, F and F ＋ W simultaneously doped snO2 highly transparent conducting thin films were depos- ited on glass substrates at （500 4± 5） ℃ temperature by the spray pyrolysis method. Microstructural, morphological, electrical and optical properties of FrO films were investi- gated as a function of tungsten （W） doping, in the range from 0 to 5 at%. X-ray diffraction patterns show that the films exhibit a tetragonal cassiterite structure and （200） preferen- tial orientation of FTO film, and the relative strength of these peaks changes with altering the W doping ratio. The pre- ferred growth of （211） changed to （200） plane with 2 at% W doping level and 3 at% W-doped film had （200） orientation and with further doping, this changed to （110） orientation. The scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy images of the films indicate that the films are made up of dense small particles of a pyramidal shape and have a smooth surface. It was observed that the surface morphology of the films did not change much when the W element was inserted to the FrO structure. It was found that the sheet resistance values of the films varied with W doping ratio, and 2 at% W-doped FTO thin film exhibited the lowest values of sheet resistance （1.12Ω）. Also, the highest figure of merit, infrared reflectivity and optical band gap values werecalculated for 2 at% W-doped FTO film as 50.9× 10-2 Ω-1, 98.82 % and 4.13 eV, respectively. These results make the films an effective candidate for usage in many optoelectronic applications and photo-thermal conversion of solar energy.

The load dependence of apparent microhardness of β-sn single crystals having different growth directions is investigated. The measurements are performed on （110） planes of these crystals in the load range from 10 to 50 mN. It is found that the degree of the microhardness anisotropy decreases for higher indentation test loads. The examined materials exhibit the behaviour of indentation size effect （IsE）, i.e., the apparent hardness increases with decreasing indentation load. Neither Meyer＇s law nor the proportional specimen resistance （PsR） model can fully explain the nonlinear variation of microhardness with load. Instead, preference is given to modified the PsR model based on the consideration of the effect of machining-induced residually stressed surface on the hardness measurement.

BACKGROUND Although breast milk is ideal for newborns,in some cases,it is replaced with cow’s milk,which contains proteins that increase the risk of cow’s milk protein allergy(CMPA).AIM To evaluate CMPA prevalence in Bahrain and compare clinical characteristics of children with immunoglobulin E(IgE)-and non-IgE-mediated *** This retrospective cohort study examined children with CMPA diagnosed at the pediatric gastroenterology outpatient clinic of the salmaniya Medical Complex,Bahrain,between 2014 and 2022,and assessed CMPA *** presentations,laboratory findings,dietary modifications,and outcomes were compared between children with IgE-mediated and non-IgE-mediated *** variables were compared using Fisher’s exact test or Pearson’sχ2 test,whereas continuous variables were compared using student’s t-test or the Mann-Whitney U *** Of 8332 patients,6022(72.3%)adhered to their *** them,618(10.3%)were suggested of having CMPA and 595(96.3%)were included;CMPA prevalence was 2%.Most patients were Bahraini(93.8%)and males(55.3%).Non-IgE-mediated type accounted for 77.3%cases and IgE-mediated type,22.7%.IgE-mediated CMPA presented more in boys(P=0.030),and later in life(5.1 months±4.5 months vs 4.2 months±4.2 months,P=0.016,95%CI:0.08-1.73),had more associated diseases(Psented with more cutaneous(P=0.024)and respiratory(P=0.003)manifestations,severe symptoms[rash/dry skin(P=0.031),facial swelling/angioedema(P=0.003),failure to thrive(P=0.013),apparent life-threatening event(Psitive physical findings(P=0.002)than non-IgE-mediated *** patients were exclusively fed cow milk formula(50.3%).The amino acid-based formula(AAF)was most prescribed(60.5%)with no difference between the two types(P=0.173).Although breastfeeding was recommended to 49.6%,only 8.2%were exclusively ***-mediated CMPA was associated with a longer follow-up duration than non-IgE-mediated CMPA(17.3 months±14.0 mo

The nature of resistive transition of high-quality crystalline thin films of YBa2Cu3O7-δhas been studied under magnetic fields（h） applied along the c direction over a wide range of doped holes, p, in the Cu O2 planes. The field- and temperature-dependent in-plane resistivity, ρab（T, h）, has been analyzed within the thermally assisted flux-flow（TAFF）formalism. The flux activation energy, U（T, h）, has been extracted from this analysis. The low-T part of the ρab（T, h）data can be described by an activation energy having the functional form of U（T, h） =（1- t）m（h-0/h）β, where t = T /Tc（reduced temperature）, and h0 is a field scale that primarily determines the magnitude of U（T, h）. The temperature exponent, m, shows a systematic variation with p, whereas the field exponent, β, is insensitive to the p values and is close to unity. The h0, on the other hand, changes rapidly as p is varied. U（T, h） is linked to the pinning potential and consequently on the superconducting condensation energy. since the normal state pseudogap directly affects superconducting condensation energy, a clear correspondence between h0 and the PG energy scale, ε g, is found. Possible implications of these results are discussed.
