Titanium(IV) oxide (TiO2) nanoparticles have been incorporated into mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) to improve gas separation performance. however, TiO2 nanoparticles tend to agglomerate due to high surface energy and van der Waals forces. This leads to precipitation which causes the formation of non-homogeneous MMM morphology. In this study, the effect of octaisobutyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) addition on TiO2/polysulfone MMM was investigated. The aims are to enhance gas separation performance whilst preventing agglomeration of TiO2 nanoparticles. The results demonstrated that inclusion of POSS as dispersant increases MMMs’ CO2/ch4 selectivity and permeance, possibly due to less void formation and more evenly distributed pore structure. For example, synergistic addition of 5 wt% TiO2 and 5 wt% POSS increased the CO2/ch4 selectivity up to 390% compared to MMM without POSS. This is supported by elemental mapping of titanium which revealed that POSS successfully dispersed TiO2 nanoparticles and prevented aggregation. TiO2-POSS/PSf MMMs also retained their favorable thermal stability.

The fate of different trace elements and radio nuclides in the new ZWILAG nuclear waste treatment plant （Switzerland） has been modelled, in order to predict and check the transport behaviour of the volatile species and their distribution in the plant. Calculations show that for active waste from medicine, industry, research （MIR waste） only Zn and Cs have stable gaseous species at 1200℃. The investigations confirm the efficiency of the examined flue gas cleaning system.

In this work,we for the first time developed a novel lithium-containing crosslinked polymeric material,a lithicone that enables excellent protection effects over lithium(Li)metal *** new lithicone was synthesized via an accurately controllable molecular layer deposition(MLD)process,in which lithium tert-butoxide(LTB)and glycerol(GL)were used as *** resultant LiGL lithicone was analyzed using a suite of ***,we found that the LiGL thichicone could serve as an exceptional polymeric protection film over Li metal *** experimental data revealed that the Li electrodes coated by this LiGL lithicone can achieve a superior cycling stability,accounting for an extremely long cyclability of>13,600 Listripping/plating cycles and having no failures so far in Li/Li symmetric cells at a current density of 5 mA/cm^(2)and an areal capacity of 1 mAh/cm^(2).We found that,with a sufficient protection by this LiGL coating,Li electrodes could realize long-term stable cyclability with little formation of Li dendrites and solid electrolyte *** novel LiGL represents a facile and effective solution to the existing issues of Li anodes and potentially paves a technically feasible route for lithium metal batteries.

In this paper, the oxidative degradation of 2, 4-dichlor- ophenoxyacetic acid （2, 4-D） using Mn2＋/h2O2 reagent under UV irradiation was studied. The results show that 2, 4-D was degraded more completely in Mn〉/h2O2 solution than traditional Fenton solutions. The effects of the concentration of Mn2＋, h2O2 and ph were also investigated. And under the optimal condition of CMn2＋ 1.48×10^-4mol/L, ch2O2 8.99×10^-5mol/L and ph 3.38, the formation of .Oh was the most, both the decomposition rate of h202 and the degradation rate of 2, 4-D were the fastest. In addi- tion, the photoreaction process was monitored using spin-trapping electron paramagnetic resonance （EPR）, and the results indicated that the oxidative process was predominated mainly by the hydroxyl radical （＊ Oh） gennerated in the system.

In this work, the separation of carbon dioxide （CO2） from （PSA） column was modeled and simulated. The adsorption kinetics the methane （ch4） using fixed bed Pressure Swing Adsorption on the 13X zeolite adsorbent was described by Linear Driving Force （LDF） model. Simulation of adsorption phenomena inside the fixed bed was implemented using Computational Fluid Dynamic （CFD） method, based on porous media concept, and the mass transfer coefficients for gas components （COz and ch4） were developed using User Defined Scalars （UDS）. The model was validated by comparing with the experimental data, which were collected based on a varied set of laboratory conditions. The prediction of the adsorption isotherm （uptake curve） and methane recovery using the simulation results exhibited a reasonable agreement with the experimental data. Moreover, the effects of feed flow rate and bed concentration evolution were investigated. The current results suggested that CFD approach is capable to predicate the hydrodynamics and adsorption phenomena in the fixed bed adsorption column.

A simple review is given to the recent work of the oxidative couplingof methane at lower temperature. One emphasis is on the different systems oflow-temperature catalysts under conventional ch/Ocofeed conditions,andanother is on the investigations of low-temperature oxidative coupling ofmethane in the presence of steam in the feed. Other approaches,e.g.,oxidative coupling of methane at elevated pressure and moderate temperature,preparing ethylene by oxidative coupling reaction of methane on laser-activatedsolid surface, are also concerned.

BACKGROUND Whether regional lymphadenectomy(RL)should be routinely performed in patients with T1b gallbladder cancer(GBC)remains a subject of *** To investigate whether RL can improve the prognosis of patients with T1b *** We studied a multicenter cohort of patients with T1b GBC who underwent surgery between 2008 and 2016 at 24 hospitals in 13 provinces in *** logrank test and Cox proportional hazards model were used to compare the overall survival(OS)of patients who underwent cholecystectomy(ch)+RL and those who underwent ch *** investigate whether combined hepatectomy(hep)improved OS in T1b patients,we studied patients who underwent ch+RL to compare the OS of patients who underwent combined hep and patients who did *** Of the 121 patients(aged 61.9±10.1 years),77(63.6%)underwent ch+RL,and 44(36.4%)underwent ch ***(9.1%)patients in the ch+RL group had lymph node *** 5-year OS rate was significantly higher in the ch+RL group than in the ch group(76.3%vs 56.8%,P=0.036).Multivariate analysis showed that ch+RL was significantly associated with improved OS(hazard ratio:0.51;95%confidence interval:0.26-0.99).Among the 77 patients who underwent ch+RL,no survival improvement was found in patients who underwent combined hep(5-year OS rate:79.5%for combined hep and 76.1%for no hep;P=0.50).CONCLUSION T1b GBC patients who underwent ch+RL had a better prognosis than those who underwent ***+ch showed no improvement in prognosis in T1b GBC *** recommended by both the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and chinese Medical Association guidelines,RL was only performed in 63.6%of T1b GBC *** ch+RL should be advised in T1b GBC.
