Ultrasound(US)has been applied in clinical practice for its non-invasive and high ***,it is difficult to achieve a satisfactory anti-tumor effect with US ***,the use of US therapy alone can exacerbate tumor *** this study,we prepared hypoxia-activated 6-diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine(DON)prodrug nanoparticles(hDON-NPs)to improve US therapeutic *** an h22 murine liver cancer model,US therapy selectively disrupted tumor blood vessels,leading to increased tumor hypoxia and a 1.67-fold increase in the expression of nitroreductase(NTR).The combination therapy of US and hDON-NPs demonstrated a synergistic effect,resulting in a tumor suppression rate(TSR)of 90.2%±6.4%,which was 5.93-fold higher than that of US therapy *** combined treatment selectively blocked the glutamine metabolism of the tumor cells while simultaneously activating the T cells in the tumor microenvironment,thereby exerting a robust anti-tumor effect.

Background: Women are thought to be more susceptible to stress than men in a stressful society, and reducing stress is crucial for women to maintain their health. Static stretching (SST) is applied in various fields to not only increase muscle flexibility but also reduce stress. Additionally, conscious slower breathing (CSB) predominates parasympathetic activity, causing a relaxing effect. These results indicate that combining SST and CSB may be more useful in reducing stress. however, to the best of our knowledge, the effect of this combination remains unclear. Objective: This study aimed to elucidate the effects of the combination of SST and CSB on autonomic activity and stress in adult women. Methods: Eleven healthy Japanese adult female participants performed SST with nonconscious natural breathing for 20 min. The same participants performed SST in combination with CSB (2 s inspiratory and 4 s expiratory) for 20 min on another day. Salivary cortisol and chromogranin A levels were measured before and after stretching as stress markers of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and sympathetic nervous system. The coefficient of variation of the R-R interval (CVR-R) and high-frequency component (hF), which reflect parasympathetic nerve activity, and heart rate and low-frequency component (LF)/hF ratio, which reflect sympathetic nerve activity, were measured before, during, and after stretching. Results: SST decreased cortisol levels but with no significant changes in chromogranin A, heart rate, CVR-R, hF, or LF/hF ratio. The combination of SST and CSB increased CVR-R and hF levels in addition to decreasing cortisol levels but with no significant changes in chromogranin A, heart rate, or LF/hF levels. Conclusion: These results indicate that the combination of SST and CSB may increase parasympathetic activity and reduce stress. however, future randomized controlled trials with larger sample sizes should support this conclusion.

This paper describes an application of mag- neto-rheological （MR） grease dampers as seismic dampers for a three-story steel structure. MR fluid is widely known as a smart material with rheological properties that can be varied by magnetic field strength. This material has been applied to various types of devices, such as dampers, clutches, and engine mounts. however, the ferromagnetic particles dispersed in MR fluid settle out of the suspension after a certain interval because of the density difference between the particles and their carrier fluid. To overcome this defect, we developed a new type of controllable working fluid using grease as the carrier of magnetic particles. MR grease was introduced into a cylindrical damper, and the seismic performance of the damper was subsequently studied via numerical analysis. The analysis results of the MR grease damper were compared with those of other seismic dampers. We confirmed that the MR grease damper is an effective seismic damper.

Recent results of JT-60U towards establishment of physics basis for ITER andadvanced tokamak operation are presented. Progress in high integrated performance is achieved withimprovement of N-NB and ECRF heating systems. In the next experimental campaign 2003～2004,discharge duration with 17 MW heating will be extended up to 30s for sustaining high-beta plasmalonger than the current diffusion time. Superconducting modification of JT-60 is planned todemonstrate high-beta plasma sustainment exceeding ideal MhD instability limit without wallstabilization.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has challenged different development sectors,including *** this article,two main analyses are provided:one on the biological hazards of the pandemic in the context of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015−2030,which analyzes the overall impacts on the education *** we discuss the overall impact on education sectors,with specific focus on disaster risk reduction(DRR)education and education for sustainable development(ESD).Disaster risk reduction education and ESD are analyzed from the perspective of school-community-family *** case analysis of COVID-19 response in the education sector is presented from Omuta City,Japan,which is considered as a champion city for *** phases of response in Omuta City are characterized with three specific foci:(1)mitigating covid impacts on educational program and participants;(2)preventing exacerbation of covid transmission within and outside schools;and(3)maintaining educational program integrity despite *** lessons are summarized in the concluding section,which explore the importance of(1)educational governance(on critical decision making)during the pandemic as well as with cascading risks;(2)enhancement of school-community-family linkages as pandemic response commonalities between ESD and DRR education;(3)risk communication and citizen behavior;and(4)use of *** argue that integration of health and DRR education is important,that resilience needs to be redefined in terms of sustainable development goals(SDGs),and that education plays a vital role in achieving these ends.
