Magnetic Properties of Nd-Fe-B Sintered Magnet Powders Recovered by Yb Metal Vapor Sorption

Fine ground powders of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet bulks (particle size=46～125 μm in diameter) were coated and alloyed with Yb metal by sorbing them. A significant recovery of the decreased magnetic properties of the ground powders (remanence B r=～0.95 T, coercivity h cj =～227 kA·m -1 and maximum energy product (Bh) max=～48 8 kJ·m -3) was observed in accordance with increasing temperature up to 800 ℃. The sorbing temperature and time for Yb metal vapor were optimized and after heating at 800 ℃ for 90 min and annealing subsequently at 610 ℃ for 60 min, the B r, h cj and (Bh) max values were increased to be 0.98 T, 712 kA·m -1 and 173 kJ·m -3, respectively. From the microstructural characterizations of resulting samples by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and electron probe X-ray microanalyzer (EPMA), it is found that the sorbed Yb metal uniformly covers the surface and diffuses to the Nd-rich grain boundary of fine ground powders of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet bulks forming a (Nd,Yb)Fe 2 phase.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)exhibits sexual dimorphism,with men being more exposed than women to the risk of simple steatosis,nonalcoholic steatohepatitis fibrosis,and hepatocellular carcinoma(hCC),while the protection conferred to women seemingly disappears with aging and reproductive senescence(i.e.,menopause).hCC,the most common primary liver cancer,which carries an ominous prognosis,may result from various genetic and non-genetic risk *** is now projected to become the most common cause of *** also exhibits a definite sexual dimorphism in as much as it has a worldwide high male-to-female *** this review article,we focus on sex differences in the epidemiological features of ***,we discuss sex differences in the clinical outcome and molecular pathobiology of *** highlighting the research gaps to be filled,the aim of this review is to prompt future research of sex differences in hCC and facilitate developing personalized cancer prevention strategies,detection,and treatments to achieve better patient outcomes in NAFLD-hCC,considering sex differences in hCC pathobiology.

AIM To investigate the possible involvement of transient receptor potential vanilloid 1(TRPV1) in maturation of enteric glial cells(EGCs).METhODS Immunohistochemical and immunocytochemical techniques were used to analyze EGC markers in myenteric plexus(MP) as well as cultured MP cells and EGCs using TRPV1 knockout(KO) *** We detected TRPV1-immunoreactive signals in EGC in the MP of wild-type(WT) but not KO mice. Expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP) immunoreactive signals was lower at postnatal day(PD) 6 in KO mice, though the difference was not clear at PD 13 and PD 21. When MP cells were isolated and cultured from isolated longitudinal muscle-MP preparation from WT and KO mice, the yield of KO EGC was lower than that of WT EGC, while the yield of KO and WT smooth muscle cells showed no difference. Addition of BCTC, a TRPV1 antagonist, to enriched EGC culture resulted in a decrease in the protein ratio of GFAP to S100 B, another EGC/astrocyte-specific marker. CONCLUSION These results address the possibility that TRPV1 may be involved in the maturation of EGC, though further studies are necessary to validate this possibility.

The present study addressed the change in the microstructure of Al-2.5 wt%Fe binary alloy produced using laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF)technique by thermal exposure at 300℃,and the associated mechanical and thermal properties were systematically examined as ***-semi-cylindrical patterns corresponding to melt pools in the microstructure were macroscopically observed for the asmanufactured *** change in the melt-pool morphology was observed after thermal exposure for1000 *** the melt pools,a large number of the nanoscale metastable Al6 Fe phase particles were uniformly distributed inside columnar grains of theα-Al matrix containing concentrated solute Fe in *** sequential formation and coarsening of stableθ-Al13 Fe4 phases were observed upon exposure to a 300℃ environment,but a considerable amount of nano-sized metastable Al6 Fe phases remained even after 1000 ***,the thermal exposure continuously reduced the concentration of solute Fe atoms in theα-Al *** significant grain growth was found inα-Al matrix after 1000 h owing to the pinning effect of the dispersed fine particles on grain boundary *** results demonstrate a sluggish change in microstructural morphologies of the Al-2.5 wt%Fe *** quantified microstructural parameters addressed dominant strengthening contributions by the solid solution of Fe element and Orowan strengthening mechanism by fine Al-Fe intermetallics in the L-PBF-produced *** high strength level was sustained even after being exposed to 300℃ for long *** superior balance of mechanical properties and thermal conductivity can be achieved in the experimental alloys by taking advantage of the various microstructural parameters related to the Al-Fe intermetallic phases andα-Al matrix.

In this paper, we present integral cross sections （ICS） for electron impact excitation of the n = 2 levels in helium in the impact energy range of 23.5 eV to 35 eV. The ICS of each final state, 2^3S, 2^1S, 2^3P and 2^1P, has been determined by integration of the angular differential cross sections （DCS） over all of 0° to 180°, where those DCS were obtained from both our previous experiments and the extrapolation using the convergent close coupling calculation. The present experimental ICS for the optically allowed 21P transition state are also compared with those obtained from the BE f-scaling method. Very good agreement between the experimental and BE f-scaled 21P ICSs is generally found in the measured impact energy region.

Rutile （TiO2） is heavily used in pigments mid colormlts, mid the most abundmlt source of rutile is ilmeinte. Upon oxidation of ilmeinte, mtile cml be formed wiffl modest energy consumption; furfflermore, after leaching, only a few byproducts are formed. Unfortunate- ly, one drawback is file necessarily long oxidative process of typically used mefflods. In fflis study, we show fflat a fluidized bed reactor cml be used to oxidize ilmeinte ore to rapidly form ruffle mid pseudobrookite （Fe2TiOs） phases. Ilmeinte was oxidized wiffl 5vo1% 02 in Ar at temperatures of 1173 K or 1223 K mid subsequently leached using a diluted h2SO4 solution to dissolve file pseudobrookite phase. The effects of acid concentration, temperature, mid cooling rate after oxidation were investigated. We show fflat file ilmeinte was rapidly oxidized to form rutile mid pseudobrookite phases at 1173 mid 1223 K in a 5vo1% O2/95vo1% Ar environment wifflin 40 min. The fmal maximum mtile yield was 84.2mo1% after leaching in （1 ＋ 1） h2SO4 solution at 393 K for 12 h.

ALG-2(a gene product of PDCD6) is a 22-kD protein containing five serially repetitive EF-hand structures and belongs to the penta-EF-hand(PEF) family,including the subunits of typical ***-2 is the most conserved protein among the PEF family members and its homologs are widely found in eukaryotes.X-ray crystal structures of various PEF proteins including ALG-2 have common features:presence of eightα-helices and dimer formation via paired EF5s that are positioned in anti-parallel ***-2 forms a homodimer and a heterodimer with its closest paralog *** calmodulin,a well-known four-EF-hand protein,ALG-2 interacts with various proteins in a Ca2+-dependent fashion,but the binding motifs are completely *** some exceptions,ALG-2-interacting proteins commonly contain Pro-rich regions,and ALG-2 recognizes at least two distinct Pro-containing motifs:PPYP(X) nYP(X,variable;n=4 in ALIX and PLSCR3) and PXPGF(represented by Sec31A) .A shorter alternatively spliced isoform,lacking two residues and designated ALG-2 GF122,does not bind ALIX but maintains binding capacity to Sec31A.X-ray crystal structural analyses have revealed that binding of calcium ions induces the configuration of the side chain of R125 so that it opens Pocket 1,which accepts PPYP,but Pocket 1 remains closed in the case of ALG-2 ***-2 dimer has two ligand-binding sites,each in a monomer molecule,and appears to function as a Ca2+-dependent adaptor protein to either stabilize a preformed complex or to bridge two proteins on scaffolds in systems of the endosomal sorting complex required for transport(ESCRT) and ER-to-Golgi transport.
