The unique properties of metal oxide surfaces,crystal surfaces and defects play vital roles in biomass upgrading *** this work,hierarchical porous bowl-shaped ZrO_(2)(hB-ZrO_(2))with mixed crystal phase was designed and employed as the support for loading AuPd bimetal with different proportions to synthesize AuPd/hB-ZrO_(2) *** effects of surface chemistry,oxygen defects,bimetal interaction and metal-support interaction of AuPd/hB-ZrO_(2) on catalytic performance for the selective oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(hMF)to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA)were systematically *** Au 2 Pd1/hB-ZrO_(2) catalyst afforded a satisfactory FDCA yield of 99.9%from hMF oxidation using O_(2) as the oxidant in water,accompanied with an excellent FDCA productivity at 97.6 mmol g^(−1) h^(−1).This work offers fresh insights into rationally designing efficient catalysts with oxygen-rich defects for the catalytic upgrading of biomass platform chemicals.

Fast radio bursts(FRBs)are useful cosmological probes with numerous applications in *** distribution of the dispersion measurement contribution from the intergalactic medium is a key issue.A quasi-Gaussian distribution has been used to replace the traditional Gaussian distribution,yielding promising ***,this study suggests that there may be additional challenges in its *** used 35 well-localized FRBs to constrain the hubble constant h_(0)along with two FRB-related parameters,yielding h_(0)=■The best-fitting hubble constant h_(0)is smaller than the value obtained from the Cosmic Microwave Background(CMB),which may be caused by the small sample size of current FRB *** Carlo simulations indicate that a set of 100 simulated FRBs provides a more precise fitting result for the hubble ***,the precision of the hubble constant does not improve when further enlarging the FRB *** simulations reveal a systematic deviation in the fitting results of■,attributed to the quasi-Gaussian distribution of the dispersion measure in the intergalactic *** this,the results remain reliable within 1σuncertainty,assuming that a sufficient number of FRB data points are available.

Formic acid(FA),which is obtainable through CO_(2)hydrogenation with green hydrogen or biomass conversion,has been used as a prospective liquid organic hydrogen carrier(LOhC)because of the abundant advantages of renewability,wide availability,stability,and high volumetric capacity(53 g h_(2)/L).The development of highly efficient catalytic systems to achieve enhanced catalytic activity is attractive but still ***,ultrafine and highly dispersed PdAu nanoclusters(NCs)anchored on amino-modified reduced graphene oxide(ArGO)were successfully synthesized via a facile impregnation-reduction method and applied as a catalyst toward formic acid dehydrogenation(FAD).Benefiting from the promoting effect of amino groups,the strain and ligand effect in the alloy,and the Mott–Schottky effect between PdAu NCs and ArGO,the resultant PdAu/ArGO affords an ultrahigh activity under visible light irradiation with an exceptional turnover frequency value of 10,699.5 h^(-1)at 298 K without any additives,more than 2.6times improvement than that under dark,which is the highest among all reported catalysts under the same *** study provides a green and convenient strategy for developing more efficient and sustainable FAD catalysts and promotes the effective utilization of FA as a prospective renewable LOhC.

Obstructive sleep apnea(OSA)is a serious type of sleep disorder that can lead to cardiometabolic and neurocognitive *** utilized smart device-based photoplethysmography technology to collect sleep data from the Chinese population from 2019 to *** lag nonlinear models combined with a generalized nonlinear model or a linear mixed effects model were used to investigate the shortterm associations between daily temperature and indicators of OSA *** included a total of 6,232,056 d of sleep monitoring data from 51,842 participants with moderate to severe risk of OSA from 313 Chinese *** relationships between ambient temperature and OSA exacerbation,apneahypopnea index(AhI),and minimum oxygen saturation(MinSpO_(2))were almost linear and present only on the same *** temperatures were associated with a greater risk of OSA exacerbation,with an 8.4%(95%confidence interval(CI):7.6%–9.3%)increase per 10℃increase in temperature.A 10℃increase in daily temperature corresponded to an AhI increase of 0.70 events/h(95%CI:0.65–0.76)and a MinSpO_(2)decrease of 0.18%(95%CI:0.16%–0.19%).Exposure to elevated temperatures during the night can also lead to adverse *** effects of higher temperatures on OSA severity were stronger among men,participants with a body mass index24 kg/m2,those aged 45 years and older,individuals with a history of hypertension and diabetes,and during the cold *** large-scale,nationwide,longitudinal study provides robust evidence suggesting that higher ambient temperatures may immediately worsen OSA.

Proper function of the centromeres ensures correct attachment of kinetochores to spindle microtubules and faithful chromosome segregation in mitosis. Defects in the integrity and function of centromeres can result in chromosome missegregation and genomic ***1 is essential for the mitotic centromere dynamics, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms remain largely unclear. here, we demonstrate that TIP60 acetylates Bub1 at K424 and K431 on kinetochores in early mitosis. This acetylation increases the kinase activity of Bub1 to phosphorylate centromeric histone h2A at T120(h2Ap T120), which recruits Aurora B and Shugoshin 1(Sgo1) to regulate centromere integrity, protect centromeric cohesion, and ensure the subsequent faithful chromosome segregation. Expression of the nonacetylated Bub1 mutant reduces its kinase activity, decreases the level of h2Ap T120, and disrupts the recruitment of centromere proteins and chromosome congression, leading to genomic instability of daughter cells. When cells exit mitosis, hDAC1-regulated deacetylation of Bub1 decreases h2Ap T120 levels and thereby promotes the departure of centromeric CPC and Sgo1, ensuring timely centromeres disassembly. Collectively, our results reveal a molecular mechanism by which the acetylation and deacetylation cycle of Bub1 modulates the phosphorylation of h2A at T120 for recruitment of Aurora B and Sgo1 to the centromeres, ensuring faithful chromosome segregation during mitosis.
