The Conversion of Non-Dispersed Polymers into Low-Potassium Anti-Collapse Drilling Fluids

Different drillingﬂuid systems are designed according to mineral composition,lithology and wellbore stability of different *** the present study,the conversion of a non-dispersed polymer drillingﬂuid into a low potas-sium anti-collapsing drillingﬂuid is *** the two drillingﬂuids belong to completely different types,the key to this conversion is represented by new inhibitors,dispersants and water-loss agents by which a non-dispersed drillingﬂuid can be turned into a dispersed drillingﬂuid while ensuring wellbore stability and reason-able rheology(carrying sand—inhibiting cuttings dispersion).In particular,the(QYZ-1)inhibitors and(FSJSS-2)dispersants are *** former can inhibit the hydration expansion capacity of clay,reduce the dynamic shear force and weaken the viscosity;the latter can improve the sealing effect and reduce theﬁltrate *** results have shown that after adding a reasonable proportion of these substances(QYZ-1:FSJSS-2)to the non-dispersed polymer drillingﬂuid,while the apparent viscosity,plastic viscosity,structural viscosity andﬂuidity index under-went almost negligible changes,the dynamic plastic ratio increased,and theﬁltration loss decreased signiﬁcantly,thereby indicating good *** to the tests(conducted in the Leijia area),the density was 1.293 g/cm3,and after standing for 24 h,the SF(static settlement factor)was ***,theﬁltration loss was reduced to 4.0 mL,the rolling recovery rate reached 96.92%,with excellent plugging and anti-collapse performances.

Ag-doped Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) sensor:A promising candidate for lowconcentration h_(2)S gas sensing

Trace hydrogen sulphide(h_(2)S)could reflect the severity of insulation faults in gas-insulated switchgear(GIS),therefore,accurate and fast detection of low-concentration h_(2)S is important for on-line monitoring,fault diagnosis,and state evaluation in ***-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) chemiresistive-type sensors were fabricated via drop-coating with self-reduction synthesised Ag-doped Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x).The as-prepared sensors exhibited an excel-lent sensitivity and selectivity to h_(2)S with an extremely low detection of limit of 18.57 parts per billion(ppb)at 25℃(room temperature).The response of Ag-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) sensor to 10 parts per million(ppm)h_(2)S was enhanced~12 times than that of the pristine Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) *** compositing of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) with Ag nanoparticles(NPs)enabled the fast response/recovery time for h_(2)S *** analysis found that the enhanced h_(2)S sensing performances could be attributed to chemical sensitisation,adsorbed oxygen species regulation and high Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET)surface *** study paves the way for Ag-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) as room-temperature sensing materials to detect low-concentration h_(2)S in GIS.

Complexes of cupric ion and tartaric acid enhanced calcium peroxide Fenton-like reaction for metronidazole degradation

To surmount the obstacles of traditional Fenton method and synchronously utilize Cu^(2+)and polyphenol in water,an improved Fenton-like reaction applying calcium peroxide(CaO_(2))as h_(2)O_(2)source and regulating by the complex of Cu^(2+)-tartaric acid(TA,a representative of polyphenol)was constructed.A typical antibiotic,metronidazole(MTZ)could be effectively eliminated by the Cu^(2+)/TA/CaO_(2)system,and the optimized parameters were as follows:0.1 mmol/L Cu^(2+),2 mmol/L TA,2 mmol/L CaO_(2),and initial *** spectrum confirmed the formation of Cu^(2+)-TA complex,which promoted the Cu^(2+)/Cu+circulation through decreasing the Cu^(2+)/Cu^(+) couple redox potential,which further enhanced the h_(2)O_(2)decomposition and the formation of reactive *** radical was dominant for MTZ degradation,followed by oxygen and superoxide *** degradation intermediates of MTZ were detected and their evolution way was ***,the ternary process showed a wide p h tolerance(3–8)for removing MTZ and broad applicability for eliminating other dyes and *** work provided a reference for Cu-based Fenton-like strategy for organic wastewater settlement.

Electricity-driven enantioselective cross-dehydrogenative coupling of two C(sp^(3))-h bonds enabled by organocatalysis

An efficient and scalable electrochemical asymmetric protocol with metal-free catalysts and even without additional oxidants for the cross-dehydrogenative coupling reaction(CDC)of two C(sp^(3))-h bonds is reported.A series of aldehydes including natural products and various substrates containing C(sp^(3))-h bonds including xanthenes,acridines,cycloheptatrienes and even diarylmethane have been shown to undergo asymmetric CDC to afford a series of carbon-carbon bond coupling products with up to 94%yield and 98%*** studies such as radical clock experiment suggest that the reaction proceeds via nucleophilic attack by enamine under electrochemical conditions.

Objective:To study the compounds isolated from Penicillium hDS-Z-1E,an endophytic fungal strain isolated from Taxus cuspidata and their activation effect of catalase(CAT).Methods:The chemical constituents were isolated from Penicillium hDS-Z-1E,by using silica gel,Sephadex Lh-20 and *** structural elucidations of five metabolites were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic including 1 h-NMR,13C-NMR,hMBC and *** activation sites of catalase have been investigated by molecular ***:Five metabolites,compounds(1–5)were isolated from Penicillium hDS-Z-1E and identified as 4-hydroxy-4-methyltetrahydro-2h-pyran-2-one(1),4-hydroxymethyl-5,6-dihydro-pyran-2-one(2),5,6-dihydro-2-oxo-2h-pyran-4-carboxylic(3),N-acetyl-hydrazinobenzoic acid(4),and methyl 2-(2,5-dihydroxyphenyl)acetate(5).Conclusion:Compound 3 is a new *** 3 and 4 may have potential activators of catalase,providing a theoretical basis for the development of CAT activators.

Deep eutectic solvent-driven self-assembly of metal mercaptide complexes with enzyme-mimicking activities for detection of uric acid through one-step cascade catalytic reaction

This work presents a generic strategy to create a series of metal mercaptides complexes via coordination selfassembly between transition metals(Mn,Cu,Co,Fe,and Ni)and cysteine(Cys)by forming the sulfur-metal *** strategy involves dissolving metal chlorides and Cys into deep eutectic solvents(DES),followed by the precipitation of metal mercaptides complexes(such as Cys-Mn)by adding water as an antisolvent,where DES serves as the solvent,shape directing,and capping agent,thereby preventing the formation of other metal ***,the prepared complexes possess both laccase and peroxidase-like properties,allowing the design of a technique for the detection of L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine(L-DOPA)and uric acid,*** prepared Cys-Mn can linearly oxidize L-DOPA with its concentrations from 0.1 to 130μM and the detection limit was calculated to be 75.5 n ***,the Cys-Mn can mimic the activity of peroxidase towards oxidization of o-phenylenediamine at neutral p h,allowing single-step and one-pot cascade reactions for visual and fluorometric measurements of uric acid(UA)that could work in the range of 0.2-500μM UA with a detection limit of 0.06μM and 0.054μМ,*** assay was successful in detecting UA in serum and urine samples with relative standard deviation(RSD)ranging from 7.3%to 10.2%and 3.0%-8.5%respectively,suggesting that it may prove useful in medical diagnostic testing.

Masses of the conjectured h-dibaryon at different temperatures

We present a lattice QCD determination of masses of the conjectured h-dibaryon,denoted as mh,at nine different temperatures:T/T_(c)=0.24,0.63,0.76,0.84,0.95,1.09,1.27,1.52,and *** masses of baryons N,Σ,Ξ,andΛat different temperatures were also *** simulations were performed on an anisotropic lattice with N_(f)=2+1 flavours of clover fermion at a quark mass corresponding to mπ=384(4)*** thermal ensembles were provided by the FASTSUM collaboration,whereas the zero temperature ensembles were provided by the hadspec *** also calculated the spectral density of the correlation function of those *** spectral density distributions show a rich peak structure at the lowest temperature;at intermediate temperatures,the mass values of those particles obtained by the extrapolation method reflect a two-peak *** the spectral density for the octet baryon becomes smooth at T/T_(c)=1.27,1.52,and 1.90,the spectral density for the h-dibaryon becomes smooth at T/T_(c)=*** T/T_(c)=0.24,the mass difference of the h-dibaryon andΛpair,expressed asΔm=m_(h)−2m_(Λ),was estimated to beΔm=−14.6(6.2)MeV,which suggests the existence of a bound h-dibaryon state.

Mitigating the Reconstruction of Metal Sulfides for Ultrastable Oxygen Evolution at high Current Density

Metal sulfides are emerging highly active electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER),but still suffer from the instability caused by their inevitable reconstruction,especially at industrial-level current ***,it is discovered that Fe-incorporated Ni3S2 nanowires can deliver extraordinary durability with an ultralow potential degradation rate of 0.006 mV/h in alkaline electrolytes made with fresh water and seawater at a benchmark of 500 mA cm^(-2) while meeting the industrial activity requirement for overpotential less than 300 mV(290 mV).Systematic experiments and theoretical simulations suggest that after forming the S-doped NiFeOOh shell to boost intrinsic activity,Fe incorporation effectivelymitigates the reconstruction of the Ni_(3)S_(2) nanowire core by restraining Ni oxidation and S dissolution,justifying the *** work highlights the significance of circumventing reconstruction and provides a strategy to explore practical chalcogenides-based OER electrocatalysts.

Entangled photon pair generation in an integrated SiC platform

Entanglement plays a vital role in quantum information *** to its unique material properties,silicon carbide recently emerged as a promising candidate for the scalable implementation of advanced quantum information processing *** date,however,only entanglement of nuclear spins has been reported in silicon carbide,while an entangled photon source,whether it is based on bulk or chip-scale technologies,has remained ***,we report the demonstration of an entangled photon source in an integrated silicon carbide platform for the first ***,strongly correlated photon pairs are efficiently generated at the telecom C-band wavelength through implementing spontaneous four-wave mixing in a compact microring resonator in the 4h-silicon-carbide-on-insulator *** maximum coincidence-to-accidental ratio exceeds 600 at a pump power of 0.17 mW,corresponding to a pair generation rate of(9±1)×10^(3) pairs/***-time entanglement is created and verified for such signal-idler photon pairs,with the two-photon interference fringes exhibiting a visibility larger than 99%.The heralded single-photon properties are also measured,with the heralded g^((2))(0)on the order of 10^(−3),demonstrating the SiC platform as a prospective fully integrated,complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor compatible single-photon source for quantum applications.

Green carbonization of waste coffee grounds into porous C/Fe hybrids for broadband and high-efficiency microwave absorption

Recently great effort s have been focused on designing high-performance microwave absorbers using sustainable biomass resources,but there remains a lack of green and efficient fabrication ***,inspired by natural porous character of biomass waste,we demonstrated a green one-step route to convert waste coffee grounds into porous C/Fe hybrids,and further explored their potential applications for broadband and high-efficiency microwave *** this design,the WCG-20-750(incorporated 20 wt%Fe(C_(5)h_(7)O_(2))_(3)catalyst and carbonized at 750℃)exhibited porous microstructure with the highest char yield of 55.45 wt%.Furthermore,the as-prepared C/Fe hybrids from WCG-20-750 displayed excellent microwave absorption ***,the minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))reached to-52.86 dB and the widest effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)was 6.40 Ghz at the thickness of 3.0 *** work provides an economically viable and environmentally friendly strategy to convert biomass wastes into value-added microwave absorbers,ultimately making contributions to the upcycling of renewable biomass resources and the fostering of sustainable environment.
