Big Bang nucleosynthesis(BBN)theory predicts the primordial abundances of the light elements^(2) h(referred to as deuterium,or D for short),^(3)he,^(4)he,and^(7) Li produced in the early *** these,deuterium,the first nuclide produced by BBN,is a key primordial material for subsequent *** date,the uncertainty in predicted deuterium abundance(D/h)remains larger than the observational *** this study,the Monte Carlo simulation code PRIMAT was used to investigate the sensitivity of 11 important BBN reactions to deuterium *** found that the reaction rate uncertainties of the four reactions d(d,n)^(3)he,d(d,p)t,d(p,γ)^(3)he,and p(n,γ)d had the largest influence on the calculated D/h ***,the calculated D/h uncertainty cannot reach observational precision even with the recent LUNA precise d(p,γ)^(3) he *** the nuclear physics aspect,there is still room to largely reduce the reaction-rate uncertainties;hence,further measurements of the important reactions involved in BBN are still necessary.A photodisintegration experiment will be conducted at the Shanghai Laser Electron Gamma Source Facility to precisely study the deuterium production reaction of p(n,γ)d.

The building cross-section shape significantly affects the flow characteristics around buildings,especially the recirculation region behind the high-rise *** generic building shapes including square,triangle,octagon,T-shaped,cross-shaped,#-shaped,h-shaped and L-shaped are examined to elucidate their effects on the flow patterns,recirculation length L and areas A using computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulations with Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)*** sizes and positions of the vortexes behind the buildings are found to be substantially affected by the building shapes and subsequently changing the recirculation *** recirculation length L is in the range of 1.6b-2.6b with an average of *** maximum L is found for L-shaped building(2.6b)while the shortest behind octagon building(1.6b).The vertical recirculation area Av is in the range of 1.5b^(2)-3.2b^(2)and horizontal area Ah in 0.9b^(2)-2.2b^(2).The L,Av and Ah generally increase with increasing approaching frontal area when the wind direction changes but subject to the dent structures of the#-shaped and cross-shaped *** area-averaged wind velocity ratio(AVR),which is proposed to assess the ventilation performance,is in the range of 0.05 and 0.14,which is around a three-fold difference among the different building *** drag coefficient parameterized by Ah varies significantly,suggesting that previous models without accounting for building shape effect could result in large uncertainty in the drag *** findings provide important reference for improving pedestrian wind environment and shed some light on refining the urban canopy parameterization by considering the building shape effect.

Phase change materials (PCMs) can be incorporated with low-cost minerals to synthesize composites for thermal energy storage in building *** coal (SC) after vanadium extraction treatment shows potential for secondary utilization in composite *** prepared SC-based composite PCMs with SC as a matrix,stearic acid (SA) as a PCM,and expanded graphite (EG) as an *** combined roasting and acid leaching treatment of raw SC was conducted to understand the effect of vanadium extraction on promoting loading *** showed that the combined treatment of roasting at 900℃ and leaching increased the SC loading of the composite by 6.2%by improving the specific surface *** loading capacity and thermal conductivity of the composite obviously increased by 127%and 48.19%,respectively,due to the contribution of 3wt% *** data were supported by the high load of 66.69%and thermal conductivity of 0.59 W·m^(-1)·K-1of the designed *** obtained composite exhibited a phase change temperature of 52.17℃,melting latent heat of 121.5 J·g^(-1),and good chemical *** SC-based composite has prospects in building applications exploiting the secondary utilization of minerals.

Corrosion of reinforcement induced by chloride invasion is extensively considered as the dominating deterioration mechanism of reinforced concrete(RC)structures,leading to serious safety hazards and tremendous economic ***,it still lacks well dispersive and cost-efficient nanomaterials to improve the anti-chloride-corrosion ability of RC ***,specific carbon dots(CDs)with high dispersity and low cost are deliberately designed,successfully prepared by hydrothermal processing,and then firstly applied to immensely enhance chloride binding performance of cement,thereby contributing to suppressing the corrosion of ***,the tailored CDs are composed of the carbon core with highly crystalline sp^(2)C structures and oxygen-containing groups connecting on the carbon core;The typical equilibrium test confirms that with respect to that of the blank cement paste,the chloride binding capacity of cement paste involving 0.2 wt%(by weight of cement)CDs is increased by 109% after 14-day exposure to 3 mol/L Na Cl solution;according to comprehensive analyses of phase compositions,the chloride binding mechanism of CDs-modified cement is rationally attributed to the fact that the incorporation of CDs advances the formation of calcium silicate hydrate(C-S-h)gels and Friedel's salt(Fs),thus enormously enhancing the physically adsorbed and chemically bound chloride ions of cement *** work not only firstly provides a novel high-dispersity and low-cost nanomaterial toward the durability enhancement of RC structures,but also broadens the application of CDs in the field of engineering,conducing to stimulating their industrialization development.

Transition metal-catalyzed olefination of aryl C-h bond is a powerful tool for the synthesis of alkenes. While the Pd-catalyzed oxidative C-h olefination of arenes, also known as Fujiwara-Moritani reaction, has been established as one of the most efficient methods, the substrates are largely limited to terminal olefins with electron-withdrawing group(s). herein, we report a synergistic silver-mediated and palladium-catalyzed non-directed C-h olefination of arenes with vinyl(pseudo)halides, which offers a complementary strategy to the typical Fujiwara-Moritani reaction. The reactions proceeded well for a variety of halogenated arenes, heteroarenes, and olefin substrates, providing an efficient access to various multi-substituted aryl olefins, including trisubstituted/tetrasubstituted olefins and several complex olefins derived from medicines or natural products. Mechanistic studies indicated a bimetallic Pd/Ag cooperation is operative in the catalysis, i.e., the reaction is initiated by aryl C-h bond cleavage via ligation with phosphine/Ag species, followed by transferring of the aryl moiety to a vinyl palladium intermediate,which is in turn formed by oxidative addition of vinyl(pseudo)halide to a Pd complex. This method enables the synthesis of a wide range of challenging multi-substituted vinyl products from simple arenes(directing-group free) in a streamlined and controllable fashion.
