The induction generator effect(IGE)and the openloop modal proximity(OLMP)are two different reasons why subsynchronous oscillations(SSOs)in a series-compensated power system(SCPS)may *** IGE attributes the growing SSOs to negative resistance,while the OLMP explains the SSO mechanism from the standpoint of modal *** this paper,we investigate the connections between the IGE and the OLMP through equivalent RLC circuit and open-loop modal *** investigation is conducted for two types of seriescompensated power systems where either a synchronous generator or a DFIG is connected at the sending *** investigation reveals the conditions,in which the IGE and the OLMP may jointly cause the growing SSOs,i.e.,both the IGE and the OLMP can explain why the growing SSOs ***,the investigation indicates that the IGE and the OLMP may be totally irrelevant and lead to growing SSOs *** implies that it is possible that in a SCPS,the growing SSOs are only due to the IGE,and the OLMP is non-existent,and vice ***,when the growing SSOs occurs in a SCPS,examination based on both the IGE and the OLMP should be carefully conducted in order to find if the oscillatory instability is due to the IGE,or the OLMP,or both of them.

This paper presents a long short-term memory(LSTM)-based fault detection method to detect the multiple open-circuit switch faults of modular multilevel converter(MMC)systems with full-bridge sub-modules(FB-SMs).Eighteen sensor signals of grid voltages,grid currents and capacitance voltages of MMC for single and multi-switch faults are collected as sampling *** output signal characteristics of four types of single switch faults of FB-SM,as well as double switch faults in the same and different phases of MMC,are analyzed under the conditions of load variations and control command changes.A multi-layer LSTM network is devised to deeply extract the fault characteristics of MMC under different faults and operation conditions,and a Softmax layer detects the fault *** results have confirmed that the proposed LSTM-based method has better detection performance compared with three other methods:K-nearest neighbor(KNN),naive bayes(NB)and recurrent neural network(RNN).In addition,it is highly robust to model uncertainties and Gaussian *** validity of the proposed method is further demonstrated by experiment studies conducted on a hardware-in-the-loop(hIL)testing platform.

We consider how small delays affect the integral-input-to-state stability(iss)property for a *** result is similar to the input-to-state stability(Iss)result obtained in[1]:the iss property will be preserved in a practical and semi-global manner if the delay interval is small ***,since the iss quantifies the robust stability in terms of a generalized Li norm of the inputs instead of a generalized Loo norm of the inputs for the Iss case,the techniques and proofs for the Iss case do not apply to the iss case *** the proofs in[1]are based on the Lyapunov-Razumikhin approach,our proofs are based on the iss-Lyapunov functions for the zero-delay *** addition to the interest by its own in showing how the iss property is affected by small delays,the result also serves to the study of the iss property for singularly perturbed systems.

A novel Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphor was developed and synthesized by solid-state *** valence state of Eu,photoluminescence and thermo-sensitive performance of the phosphor prepared either in ambient air or carbothermally were investigated and *** phosphor shows high sensitivity(Sa=0.0173 K^(-1),S_(r)=0.461%/K)and superior signal discriminability(Δν∼10380 cm^(−1)).The thermo-sensitive performance is subject to the dual effects of different thermo-responses by Eu^(2+)versus Eu^(3+)combined with energy transfer from Eu^(2+)to Eu^(3+),so that the sensitivity of the phosphor in the temperature range presents a non-monotonic *** development of the BaAl_(2)B_(2)O_(7):Eu^(2+),Eu^(3+)phosphor is not only expected to be relevant for application in the field of temperature sensing,but also of reference significance for improving the sensitivity by means of energy transfer between co-activator ions over a wider temperature range of Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphors.

This study examines the impact of electric solar wind sail(E-sail)parameters on the attitude stability of E-sail’s central spacecraft by using a comprehensive rigid–flexible coupling dynamic *** this model,the nodal position finite element method is used to model the elastic deformation of the tethers through interconnected two-node tensile *** attitude dynamics of the central spacecraft is described using a natural coordinate *** rigid–flexible coupling between the central spacecraft and its flexible tethers is established using Lagrange *** research reveals the significant influences of parameters such as tether numbers,tether’s electric potential,and solar wind velocity on attitude ***,solar wind fluctuations and the distribution of electric potential on the main tethers considerably affect the attitude stability of the *** consistent management,the angular velocities of the spacecraft must remain at target ***,the attitude stability of a spacecraft has a pronounced dependence on the geometrical configuration of the E-sail,with axisymmetric E-sails proving to be more stable.

Circular single-stranded DNA(ssDNA)viruses have been rarely found in fungi,and the evolutionary and ecological relationships among ssDNA viruses infecting fungi and other organisms remain *** this study,a novel circular ssDNA virus,tentatively named Diaporthe sojae circular DNA virus 1(DsCDV1),was identified in the phytopathogenic fungus Diaporthe sojae isolated from pear ***1 has a monopartite genome(3185 nt in size)encapsidated in isometric virions(21-26 nm in diameter).The genome comprises seven putative open reading frames encoding a discrete replicase(Rep)split by an intergenic region,a putative capsid protein(CP),several proteins of unknown function(P1-P4),and a long intergenic ***,the two split parts of DsCDV1 Rep share high identities with the Reps of Geminiviridae and Genomoviridae,respectively,indicating an evolutionary linkage with both *** analysis based on Rep or CP sequences placed DsCDV1 in a unique cluster,supporting the establishment of a new family,tentatively named Gegemycoviridae,intermediate to both ***1 significantly attenuates fungal growth and nearly erases fungal virulence when transfected into the host ***,DsCDV1 can systematically infect tobacco and pear seedlings,providing broad-spectrum resistance to fungal *** localization analysis revealed that DsCDV1 P3 is systematically localized in the plasmodesmata,while its expression in trans-complementation experiments could restore systematic infection of a movement-deficient plant virus,suggesting that P3 is a movement ***1 exhibits unique molecular and biological traits not observed in other ssDNA viruses,serving as a link between fungal and plant ssDNA viruses and presenting an evolutionary connection between ssDNA viruses and *** findings contribute to expanding our understanding of ssDNA virus diversity and evolution,offering potential biocontrol applications for managing crucial plant d

The mechanical response of a single crystal titanium sample against(0001)α surface impact was investigated using molecular dynamics ***,non-uniform plastic deformation was observed in the *** high strain rates,amorphization occurred near the edge of the contact region where severe shear strain induced a large number of stacking faults(SFs)and *** contrast,the central part of the contact region underwent less deformation with significantly fewer ***,instead of amorphization by consuming SFs and dislocations,there was a gradual increase in the density of dislocations and SFs during the process of *** local amorphous regions eventually grew into shear bands.

Summer Warming Limited Bud Output Drives a Decline in Daughter Shoot Biomass through Reduced Photosynthetis of Parent Shoots in Leymus chinensis Seedlings

Understanding how summer warming inﬂuences the parent and daughter shoot production in a perennial clonal grass is vital for comprehending the response of grassland productivity to global ***,we conducted a simulated experiment using potted Leymus chinensis,to study the relationship between the photosynthetic activ-ity of parent shoots and the production of daughter shoots under a whole(90 days)summer warming scenario(+3°C).The results showed that the biomass of parents and buds decreased by 25.52%and 33.45%,respectively,under warming *** reduction in parent shoot biomass due to warming directly resulted from decreased leaf area(18.03%),chlorophyll a(18.27%),chlorophyll b(29.21%)content,as well as a reduction in net photosynthetic rate(7.32%)and the maximum quantum efﬁciency of photosystem II(PSII)photochemistry(4.29%).The decline in daughter shoot biomass was linked to a decrease in daughter shoot number(33.33%)by ***,the number of belowground buds increased by 46.43%.The results indicated that long-term summer warming reduces biomass accumulation in parent shoot by increasing both limitation of stoma and ***,the parent shoot allocates relatively more biomass to the belowground organs to maintain the survival and growth of ***,buds,as a potential aboveground population,could remedy for the cur-rent loss of parent shoot density by increasing the number of future daughter shoots if summer warming subsides.
