Thyroid hormones play essential roles in spermatogenesis,but their effects on infertile males remain poorly *** study aimed to evaluate the impact of combining carbimazole(CBZ)with vitamin E(VE)on testicular injury induced by experimental hyperthyroidism in adult albino rats,focusing on oxidative,inflammatory,and apoptotic *** this experimental study,64 adult male albino Wistar rats were divided into eight groups:Group I(control-untreated),Group II(CBZ-control),Group III(VE-control),Group IV(CBZ+VE-control),Group V(levothyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group VI(levothyroxine+CBZ-treated),Group VII(levothyroxine+VE-treated),and Group VIII(levothyroxine+CBZ+VE-treated).The study was conducted in the Faculty of medicine,Suez Canal University(Ismailia,Egypt).After cervical decapitation,both testes and epididymis were examined histopathologically and *** differences were observed among groups concerning malondialdehyde(mDA),glutathione(GSh),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT;all Pmerase chain reaction analysis showed significant differences in tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-10(IL-10),Bcl-2-associated X protein(BAX),B-cell lymphoma 2 protein(Bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)mRNA levels(all Phyperthyroid group treated with CBZ alone(Group VI)exhibited testicular side effects,affecting seminiferous tubules and ***,the Group VIII showed improved spermatogenesis and a decrease in testicular side *** addition of VE to the treatment of hyperthyroid rats with CBZ reduced testicular side effects and seminiferous tubular affection when potentially improving *** research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms fully.

Effect of Platelet-rich Plasma in Stimulating macrophage Transformation into m2 Type under AmPK Signaling Pathway

Objective: To explore the effect of platelet-rich plasma(RPR) in stimulating the transformation of pro-inflammatory(m1) macrophages into antiinflammatory(m2) under the adenosine-monophosphate-dependent protein kinase(AmPK) signaling pathway. methods: Rat peritoneal macrophages(RAW264.7) were cultured and randomly divided into 8 groups: blank control group, LPS group, RPR group A, RPR group B, LPS+RPR(12 h) group, LPS+RPR(24 h) group A, LPS+RPR(24 h)group B, LPS+RPR(24 h) group C. RPR was prepared based on blood donors. The expressions of AmPK signaling pathway-related proteins(AmPK, ULK1, m TOR) and macrophage markers(i NOS, Arg-1) in the blank control group, LPS group, LPS+RPR(12 h)group and LPS+RPR(24 h) group were observed and compared. The expressions of macrophage markers in LPS+RPR(24 h) B and C groups were compared, and the expressions of AmPK and TGF-β in RPR A and B groups were compared. Results: The gray values of AmPK and ULK1 in LPS cells decreased significantly, while those in LPS+RPR(12 h) and LPS+RPR(24 h) A cells increased significantly. Enhancing Dense Small Object Detection in UAV Images Based on hybrid Transformer

housing vacancy identification in shrinking cities based on multi-source data:A case study of fushun city in Northeast China

Urban shrinkage has attracted the attention of many geographers and urban planners in recent ***,there are fewer studies on vacant housing in shrinking ***,this study combines multi-source remote sensing images and urban building data to assess the spatiotemporal variation patterns of housing vacancy in a typical shrinking city in *** following points were obtained:(1)We developed an evaluation model to identify vacant residential buildings in shrinking cities by removing the contribution of nighttime lights from roads and non-residential buildings;(2)The residential building vacancy rate in fushun city significantly increased from 2013 to 2020,resulting in a significant high-value clustering *** impact of urban shrinkage on vacant residential buildings was higher than that on vacant non-residential buildings;(3)The World Pop population data demonstrated consistent spatial distribution and trend of population change in fushun with the residential building vacancy rate results,suggesting good reliability of the constructed evaluation model in this *** housing vacancies can help the local government to raise awareness of the housing vacancy problem in shrinking cities and to propose reasonable renewal strategies.

A Video Captioning method by Semantic Topic-Guided Generation

In the video captioning methods based on an encoder-decoder,limited visual features are extracted by an encoder,and a natural sentence of the video content is generated using a ***,this kind ofmethod is dependent on a single video input source and few visual labels,and there is a problem with semantic alignment between video contents and generated natural sentences,which are not suitable for accurately comprehending and describing the video *** address this issue,this paper proposes a video captioning method by semantic topic-guided ***,a 3D convolutional neural network is utilized to extract the spatiotemporal features of videos during the ***,the semantic topics of video data are extracted using the visual labels retrieved from similar video *** the decoding,a decoder is constructed by combining a novel Enhance-TopK sampling algorithm with a Generative Pre-trained Transformer-2 deep neural network,which decreases the influence of“deviation”in the semantic mapping process between videos and texts by jointly decoding a baseline and semantic topics of video *** this process,the designed Enhance-TopK sampling algorithm can alleviate a long-tail problem by dynamically adjusting the probability distribution of the predicted ***,the experiments are conducted on two publicly used microsoft Research Video Description andmicrosoft Research-Video to Text *** experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms several state-of-art ***,the performance indicators Bilingual Evaluation Understudy,metric for Evaluation of Translation with Explicit Ordering,Recall Oriented Understudy for Gisting Evaluation-longest common subsequence,and Consensus-based Image Description Evaluation of the proposed method are improved by 1.2%,0.1%,0.3%,and 2.4% on the microsoft Research Video Description dataset,and 0.1%,1.0%,0.1%,and 2.8% on the microsoft Research-Video to Text dataset

Constructing hierarchical ZSm-5 coated with small ZSm-5 crystals via oriented-attachment and in situ assembly for methanol-to-aromatics reaction

Developing hierarchical and nanoscale ZSm-5 catalysts for diffusion-limited reactions has received ever-increasing attention. here, ZSm-5 architecture integrated with hierarchical pores and nanoscale crystals was successfully prepared via in situ self-assembly of nanoparticles-coated silicalite-1. First, the oriented attachment of amorphous nanoparticles on external surface of silicalite-1 was achieved by controlling the alkalinity of Si-Al coating solution. The partial exposure of the external surface of silicalite-1 ensured the uniform removal of silicon in the bulk phase for the creation of hierarchical pores during the subsequent desilication-recrystallization. The uniform removal of silicon species in the bulk phase was mainly due to the synergistic effect of surface protection and alkaline etching, which could be balanced by regulating the relative amount of tetrapropylammonium cation and Oh– in desilication-recrystallization solution. Importantly, the removed silicon from silicalite-1 recrystallized and in situ assembled into final ZSm-5 nanocrystals induced by surface Si-Al nanoparticles. The hierarchical pores and nanoscale crystals on this integrated architecture not only promoted the removal of coke precursors from micropores but also provided large external specific surface (91 m^(2)·g^(-1)) for coke deposition. Consequently, a much longer catalytic lifetime was achieved for methanol-to-aromatics reaction compared to conventional hollow structure ZSm-5 (84 h vs 46 h), with relatively high stability.

Ultra-high-temperature ceramic nanowires have shown increasing potential for use as thermal structural ***,novel single-crystal hf_(0.5)Ta_(0.5)C solid solution nanowires were synthesized and incorporated with a hfC coating to construct a robust structure with hf_(0.5)Ta_(0.5)C solid solution nanowires uniformly distributed and interconnected within the *** novel hf_(0.5)Ta_(0.5)C solid solution nanowires could effectively hinder crack propagation through crack tip pinning and crack *** mechanism substantially enhanced the elastic modulus and fracture toughness of the hfC coating by 53.29%and 59.67%,*** toughened hfC coating displayed superior fracture toughness and good interfacial binding strength with the substrate to resist severe oxidation and ***,the high thermal conductivity of the toughened hfC coating promoted heat ***,in comparison to the pure hfC coating,the toughened hfC coating displayed smaller mass and linear ablation rates of−0.35 mg·s^(−1)and−0.46μm·s^(−1),which decreased by 39.66%and 36.98%,*** work not only simultaneously enhances the mechanical properties and ablation resistance of hfC-coated carbon/carbon(C/C)composites but also provides novel prospects for advanced ultrahigh-temperature ceramic nanowires under extreme conditions.

Polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) bit is one of the most widely used drill bits for improving the rate of penetration in deep oil and gas well and geothermal well. however, the dynamic rock fragmentation mechanics characteristics of PDC bits are still unclearly. A coupled fragmentation mechanics model of PDC cutter-rock interaction is established by combining the mixed fragmentation modes with dynamic strength. The coupling influence laws of cutter angle, cutting depth, dynamic strength ratio, breaking modes on the horizontal force coefficient (hFC), vertical force coefficient (VFC) and specific energy are analyzed. The model of this paper can optimize cutter inclination angle, cutting depth and minimum specific energy. With the increase of the cutter inclination angle, the dynamic VFC changes into two modes. The definition of the dynamic modes depends on the dynamic strength ratio. As the cutting angle increases, the cutting force increases. The cutting force increases nonlinearly with increasing cutting depth. The specific energy of rock fragmentation increases nonlinearly with increasing cutting depth. With the increase of dynamic strength, the specific energy of rock fragmentation increases nonlinearly. When the input-energy increases, the rate of penetration response is divided into three stages. The results have important guiding significance for the PDC bit design and drilling parameters optimization to increase the rate of penetration and the efficiency of exploration and development.

Porous S-doped carbon nitride foam with accelerated charge dynamics for synchronous photocatalytic hydrogen production and highly selective oxidation of amines
