The interfacial structure of the α-Mg/14h-LPSO phase in rare earth-including magnesium alloy was investigated via high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy(hAADFSTEM) imaging and first-principles calculations of density-functional *** possible interfacial models were constructed according to the different terminations of the LPSO phase,and the corresponding interfacial energies were calculated,from which the four most stable structures(Terl-Mgy-hollow,Ter2-Zn-hollow,Ter3-MgyII-hollow and Ter4-Mg-bridge) were *** interfacial phase diagrams related to the y chemical potentials were obtained from the calculations,and the most stable interfacial structure was ***-Mgy-hollow and Ter2-Zn-hollow have the lowest interfacial energies in the range of-0.7 eV here fluctuating change of state is the minimized and the interface is the most *** separation work of the two models was calculated to predict the bonding strength of the structures at both ends of the *** calculation results show that the maximum interfacial separation work is 1.45 j/m^(2) for the interface model of α-Mg and 14h-LPSO phase structure with Ter2-Zn-hollow termination.

Tight focusing with very small f-numbers is necessary to achieve the highest at-focus ***,tight focusing imposes strong demands on precise target positioning in-focus to achieve the highest on-target irradiance We describe several near-infrared,visible,ultraviolet and soft and hard x-ray diagnostics employed in a~10^(22)W/cm^(2)laser±plasma *** used nearly 10 j total energy femtosecond laser pulses focused into an approximately1.3-μm focal spot on 5±20μm thick stainless-steel *** discuss the applicability of these diagnostics to determine the best in-focus target position with approximately 5μm accuracy(i.e.,around half of the short Rayleigh length)and show that several diagnostics(in particular,3ωreflection and on-axis hard x-rays)can ensure this *** demonstrated target positioning within several micrometers from the focus,ensuring over 80%of the ideal peak laser intensity *** approach is relatively fast(it requires 10±20 laser shots)and does not rely on the coincidence of low-power and high-power focal planes.

Wrinkling analysis of a rectangular membrane with a single crease under shearing is performed to understand the wrinkle-crease interaction behaviors. The crease is considered by introducing the residual stresses from creasing and the effective modulus into the baseline configuration with assumed circular cross-sectional crease geometry. The wrinkling analysis of the creased membrane is then performed by using the direct perturb-force （DP） simulation technique which is based on our modified displacement components （MDC） method. Results reveal that the crease may influence the stress transfer path in the membrane and further change the wrinkling direction. The crease appears to improve the bending stiffness of the membrane which has an effective resistance on the wrinkling evolution. The effects of the crease orientation on wrinkle-crease interaction are studied toward the end of this paper. The results show that the wrinkling amplitude, wavelength, and direction increase as the crease orientation increases, and the wrinkling number decreases with the increasing crease orientation. These results will be of great benefit to the analysis and the control of the wrinkles in the membrane structures.

Surveillance recommendations for gastric cancer(gC) in current guidelines focused on advanced precancerous lesions and were based on precise diagnosis of severity/extent of baseline lesions. We aimed to develop a less endoscopy-related equipment-dependent risk-stratification tool, and assessed whether mild-precursor-lesion patients can be safely exempt from surveillance. In the multicenter communitybased cohort, 75,051 participants receiving baseline endoscopy were enrolled during 2015–2017 and followed-up until 2021. Cumulative incidence rates(CIRs) of gC for precancerous-conditions were calculated by Kaplan-Meier method and compared by Log-rank tests. Mixedeffects Cox regression models were used to detect potential factors for progression towards gC. A risk score was calculated as counts of selected factors. An independent cohort, including 26,586 participants was used for external validation. During a median follow-up of6.25 years, CIRs of gC were 0.302%, 0.436%, and 4.756% for normal group, non-neoplastic(atrophic gastritis/intestinal metaplasia) and neoplastic lesions(low-grade/high-grade dysplasia), respectively(Ptrendg male, ≥60 years, smoking, and limited vegetable consumption, were selected for risk-stratification. high-risk patients(≥3 risk factors) with non-neoplastic lesions showed higher gC risks(adjusted hR=7.73, 95%CI: 4.29–13.92), and their four-year CIR reached the one-year CIR of neoplastic lesions. Further categorizing non-neoplastic lesions by histological grade, both patients with moderate-to-severe lesions(ahR=3.07, 95%CI: 1.67–5.64) and high-risk patients with mild lesions(ahR=7.29, 95%CI: 3.58–14.86) showed higher risks. Consistent trends were observed in validation cohort. high-risk mild-precursor-lesion patients should receive surveillance within 3–5 years after baseline screening. Our study provides evidence on supplementing current guideline recommendations.

Interactions between 63Sn37Pb solder and PBgA metallization (Au/Ni/Cu) duringlaser and infrared reflow soldering were studied. During laser reflow soldering process,a thin layer of AuSn_4 was observed at the interface of the solder bumps, its morphologywas strongly dependent on the laser reflow power and heating time. The solder bumpsformed by the first laser reflow was reflowed again to form the solder joints. TheAuSn_4 compounds formed in the first laser reflow process dissolved into the bulk solderafter the secondary infrared reflow process. The needle-like AuSn_4 changed into rod-like, and distributed inside the solder near the solder/pad interface.

When benefiting other beneficiaries,cushion plants may reciprocally receive feedback *** feedback effects on different sex morphs,however,remains *** this study,taking the gynodioecious Arenaria polytrichiodes as a model species,we aimed to assess the sex-specific facilitation intensity of cushion plant by measuring the beneficiary cover ratio,and to assess the potential costs in cushion reproductive functions by measuring the flower and fruit cover *** total beneficiary cover ratio was similar between females and *** produced much less flowers but more fruits than *** results suggested that females and hermaphrodites possess similar facilitation intensity,and female cushion *** may allocate more resources saved from pollen production to seed production,while hermaphrodites possibly allocate more resources to pollen production hence reducing seed *** surface areas covered by beneficiaries produced less flowers and fruits than areas without *** addition,strong negative correlations between beneficiary cover and flower cover were detected for both females and hermaphrodites,but the correlation strength were similar for these two sex ***,the correlation between beneficiary cover and fruit cover was only significantly negative for females,suggesting that beneficiary plants negatively affect fruit reproduction of females while have neutral effects on *** the results suggest that to facilitate other beneficiaries can induce reproductive costs on cushion ***,with females possibly suffering greater cost than *** differentiation in reproductive costs between sex morphs,in long-term perspective,may imply sex imbalance in population dynamics.
