The geometry of joints has a significant influence on the mechanical properties of *** simplify the curved joint shapes in rocks,the joint shape is usually treated as straight lines or planes in most laboratory experiments and numerical *** this study,the computerized tomography (CT) scanning and photogrammetry were employed to obtain the internal and surface joint structures of a limestone sample,*** describe the joint geometry,the edge detection algorithms and a three-dimensional (3D) matrix mapping method were applied to reconstruct CT-based and photogrammetry-based jointed rock *** comparison tests,the numerical uniaxial compression tests were conducted on an intact rock sample and a sample with a joint simplified to a plane using the parallel computing *** results indicate that the mechanical characteristics and failure process of jointed rocks are significantly affected by the geometry of *** presence of joints reduces the uniaxial compressive strength (UCS),elastic modulus,and released acoustic emission (AE) energy of rocks by 37%–67%,21%–24%,and 52%–90%,*** to the simplified joint sample,the proposed photogrammetry-based numerical model makes the most of the limited geometry information of *** UCS,accumulative released AE energy,and elastic modulus of the photogrammetry-based sample were found to be very close to those of the CT-based *** UCS value of the simplified joint sample (i.e.38.5 MPa) is much lower than that of the CT-based sample (i.e.72.3 MPa).Additionally,the accumulative released AE energy observed in the simplified joint sample is 3.899 times lower than that observed in the CT-based *** scanning provides a reliable means to visualize the joints in rocks,which can be used to verify the reliability of photogrammetry *** application of the photogrammetry-based sample enables detailed analysis for estimating the mechanical properties of jointed rocks.

The Inner Product Masking(IPM)scheme has been shown to provide higher theoretical security guarantees than the BooleanMasking(BM).This scheme aims to increase the algebraic complexity of the coding to achieve a higher level of *** previous work unfolds when certain(adversarial and implementation)conditions are met,and we seek to complement these investigations by understanding what happens when these conditions deviate from their expected *** this paper,we investigate the security characteristics of IPM under different *** adversarial condition,the security properties of first-order IPMs obtained through parametric characterization are preserved in the face of univariate and bivariate *** implementation condition,we construct two new polynomial leakage functions to observe the nonlinear leakage of the IPM and connect the security order amplification to the nonlinear *** observe that the security of IPMis affected by the degree and the linear component in the leakage *** addition,the comparison experiments from the coefficients,signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)and the public parameter show that the security properties of the IPM are highly implementation-dependent.

According to the official website of China’s National Medicines and Pharmaceutical Administration(NMPA),a total of 87 novel drugs were approved in China in 2023,with targeted drugs accounting for 67.8%of the total,amounting to 59 drugs(Fig.1a;Table 1)[https://***/yaopin/ypjgdt/***].Notably,domestic innovation is flourishing,with five first-in-class drugs,including Glumetinib,a c-Met inhibitor from haihe Biopharma;Leritrelvir,a 3CL protease inhibitor from Raynovent;Anaprazole,a proton pump inhibitor from Xuanzhu Biopharm;Pegol-Sihematide,an EPO drug from hansoh Pharma;and Zuberitamab from BioRay Biopharmaceutical Co.,***,the world’s first allosteric inhibitor targeting TYK2,Sotyktu(deucravacitinib),has been approved for the treatment of psoriasis and Selumetinib,a MEK inhibitor co-developed by AstraZeneca and Merck Sharp&Dohme(MSD),became the first approved drug in China for the treatment of neurofibromatosis type I(NF1).Beyond these drugs,the approval of novel drug types such as CAR-T cell products,siRNA,monoclonal antibodies,dual antibodies,and ADCs in China is a significant development in the country’s pharmaceutical industry(Fig.1a).

Electric Vehicles(EVs), as a low-carbon means of transportation, have promptly become popular worldwide in the past decade. Since the lifespan of batteries is limited, massive of Electric Vehicle Batteries(EVBs) are being retired, resulting in a rapid increase in the demand for the recycling of retired EVBs in recent years. however, due to high recycling costs and immature recycling technologies, EV manufacturers are facing significant challenges in recycling retired EVBs. China, as the country with the largest number of EV users in the world, is exploring effective incentive policies for the recycling of retired EVBs. In this context, we developed a system dynamics model to analyze the impact of incentive polices such as, recycling subsidies, technological progress, and carbon trading on the retired EVBs recycling. Results show that: 1) recycling subsidies can improve the recycling ratios quickly in the short term, and dynamic subsidies are more efficient than static subsidies; 2) the policy of technological advancement can reduce the recovery and cascade utilization cost, thus having a positive impact on battery recycling, but the policy effect has a time-delay; 3) the carbon trading policy is unable to promote efficient recycling due to the current low carbon prices; 4) dynamic subsidy and technological advancement policies complement each other, therefore, the combination of these two policies is the best way to promote the recycling of retired EVBs and reduce carbon emissions. It is hoped that this study will contribute to the ongoing debate on policies for the industrialization of retired EVBs recycling.

As the elevator and rudder can be used actively for control,in addition to the rotors,Coaxial high-speed helicopters(Chhs)have the problems of control redundancy and changing control authority in the transition *** paper presents a robust-augmentation transitioning flight control design for a Chh under the adverse conditions of parametric uncertainties and external ***,based on control characteristic analysis,an Adaptive Filtered Nonlinear Dynamic Inversion(AFNDI)controller is proposed for the angular rate to handle the effect of unknown unstructured uncertainties and external *** analysis proves that the presented angular rate controller can guarantee steady-state and transient ***,the attitude angle and velocity controllers are also ***,an Incremental-based Nonlinear Prioritizing Control Allocation(INPCA)method is designed to take into account control surface transition and changing control authority,which efficiently distributes the required moments between coaxial rotors and aero-surfaces,and avoids the control reversal problem of the yaw *** the proposed control architecture,the low-pass filter is introduced to alleviate the adverse influence of time delay and measurement ***,the effectiveness of the proposed controller is demonstrated through nonlinear numerical simulations,and is compared with existing *** results show that the proposed control law can improve both capabilities of disturbance rejection and fast response,and works satisfactorily for the Chh transitioning control characteristic.

This study evaluated the feasibility of using polypropylene fiber(PF)as reinforcement in improving tensile strength behavior of cement-stabilized dredged sediment(CDS).The effects of cement content,water content,PF content and length on the tensile strength and stress–strain behavioral evolutions were evaluated by conducting splitting tensile strength ***,the micro-mechanisms characterizing the tensile strength behavior inside PF-reinforced CDS(CPFDS)were clarified via analyzing macro failure and microstructure *** results indicate that the highest tensile strengths of 7,28,60,and 90 d CPFDS were reached at PF contents of 0.6%,1.0%,1.0%,and 1.0%,exhibiting values 5.96%,65.16%,34.10%,and 35.83%higher than those of CDS,***,3 mm,PF of showed the best reinforcement *** CPFDS exhibited obvious tensile strain-hardening characteristic,and also had better ductility than *** mix factor(C_(C)^(a)/C_(w)^(b))and time parameter(q_(t0)(t))of CDS,and the reinforcement index(k_(t-PF))of CPFDS were used to establish the tensile strength prediction models of CDS and CPFDS,considering multiple *** PF“bridge effect”and associated cementation-reinforcement coupling actions inside CPFDS were mainly responsible for tensile strength behavior *** key findings contribute to the use of CPFDS as recycled engineering soils.

Thermoplastic polycarbonate polyurethanes(PCUs) are multiblock copolymers that have been applied for medical devices for long time. Aliphatic diols are common chain extenders(CE) involved in the composition of the hard segments of PCU. however, limited knowledge was discovered about how the chemical structure of CE affects the hydrogen bonding organization within PCUs and their mechanical *** investigate this problem, a group of PCUs were synthesized respectively by extending the polymer chain with 1,4-butanediol(BDO),aminoethanol(MEA), ethanediol(EO) as three kinds of chain extenders. Tiny differences in the CE chemical structure results in remarkable variations in phase separation, condensed morphologies, thermal and mechanical properties, which are characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, atomic force microscopy, small-angle X-ray scattering, differential scanning calorimetry, and tensile tests. The microstructural evolution during unilateral deformation and the different mechanism induced by the different CEs was probed and unveil by in situ wide-and small-angle X-ray diffraction. Symmetry of CE can improve the organization of the hydrogen bonding. The coherence strength of the urethane/urea group also plays a key role by comparing the two PCUs with ethanediol and aminoethanol.

Background:Polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS)is a heterogeneous and complex reproductive endocrinological disease that could lead to *** were many attempts to classify PCOS but it remains unclear whether there is a specific subgroup of PCOS that is associated with the best or worst reproductive outcomes of assisted reproductive techniques(ART).Methods:Infertile PCOS patients who underwent their first cycle of in vitro fertilization(IVF)in West China Second University hospital,Sichuan University from January 2019 to December 2021 were *** clinical and laboratory information of each individual were *** cluster analysis was *** ovarian stimulation parameters and reproductive outcomes were collected and compared between the different clusters of ***:Our analysis clustered women with PCOS into"reproductive","metabolic",and"balanced"clusters based on nine *** group was characterized by high levels of testosterone(T),sex hormone-binding globulin(ShBG),follicular stimulation hormone(FSh),luteinizing hormone(Lh),and anti-Müllerian hormone(AMh).Metabolic group was characterized by high levels of body mass index(BMI),fasting insulin,and fasting *** group was characterized by low levels of the aforementioned reproductive and metabolic parameters,except for *** with PCOS patients in reproductive and balanced clusters,those in metabolic cluster had lower rates of good quality day 3 embryo and blastocyst ***,PCOS patients in the reproductive cluster had greater fresh embryo transfer(ET)cancelation rate and clinical pregnancy rate after fresh ET than metabolic cluster(odds ratio[OR]=3.37,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.77-6.44,and OR=6.19,95%CI:1.58-24.24,respectively).And compared with PCOS of metabolic cluster,PCOS of balanced cluster also had higher chance for fresh ET cancelation(OR=2.83,95%CI:1.26-6.35).Conclusion:Our study suggested that PCOS patients in met

Structured illumination microscopy(SIM)is a popular and powerful super-resolution(SR)technique in biomedical ***,the conventional reconstruction algorithm for SIM heavily relies on the accurate prior knowledge of illumination patterns and signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of raw *** obtain high-quality SR images,several raw images need to be captured under high fluorescence level,which further restricts SIM’s temporal resolution and its *** learning(DL)is a data-driven technology that has been used to expand the limits of optical *** this study,we propose a deep neural network based on multi-level wavelet and attention mechanism(MWAM)for *** results show that the MWAM network can extract high-frequency information contained in SIM raw images and accurately integrate it into the output image,resulting in superior SR images compared to those generated using wide-field images as input *** also demonstrate that the number of SIM raw images can be reduced to three,with one image in each illumination orientation,to achieve the optimal tradeoff between temporal and spatial ***,our MWAM network exhibits superior reconstruction ability on low-SNR images compared to conventional SIM *** have also analyzed the adaptability of this network on other biological samples and successfully applied the pretrained model to other SIM systems.
