This study investigates the effect of aluminium oxide nanoparticlesaddition to biodiesel blends made from dairy milk scum on performance and combustion characteristics of the diesel *** dispersion of Al2O3nanoparticles in B20 blends at different concentrations was done with the help of *** number of blends were prepared for the *** Machine learning algorithms(Random Forest（RF）and CatBoost) was used for the *** results show that in comparison to biodiesel blends without nanoparticles,the kinematic viscosity and density is higher for fuel blends with *** these Fuel blends have higher calorific *** blends exhibited reduced Brake Specific Fuel Consumption（BSFC） of2.85% than the blends without nano particles(Dairy Scum Methyl Ester Biodiesel 20%+Neat Diesel 80%（in volume）,DSMEB20),57.14% less CO,40.8% less hydrocarbon,and increased NOxemissions compared to conventional diesel,contributing to the development of environmentally friendly and renewable biofuel blends with *** B20NP30 is the optimal blend for performance and emission *** study concludes with findings on enhanced Brake Thermal Efficiency（BTE） of 26.29% in 3×10-5（in volume） Al2O3nanoparticle-blended DSME B20 and other DSME B20 fuel blends,emphasizing the importance of optimal nanoparticle *** correlation matrix shows how engine load,efficiency measures（BTE,BSFC）,and emissions（CO,CO2,NOx,Smoke） are connected in complex *** results help us understand the complicated dynamics of engine performance and emission characteristics ***'s diagram for BTE and BSFC shows that CatBoost-based BTE models perform superior to RF-based models during the training as well as testing *** results were obtained for CO and CO2emission results.

Evaluation of sediment contamination in the Red Sea coastal area combining multiple pollution indices and multivariate statistical techniques

in the recent years, the Red Sea coast of Yemen has been severely affected by intensive anthropogenic activities. The current study constitutes a thorough inquiry to evaluate the extent of heavy metals pollution in Yemen’s Red Sea coast sediment and identifies the possible sources of pollution. The concentrations of five metals(copper(Cu), zinc(Zn), cadmium(Cd), lead(Pb), and nickel(Ni)) collected from nine sites along the Red Sea coast of Yemen were assessed using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer(ASS). Sediment quality indices, such as the sediment quality guidelines(SQGs), potential ecological risk(Ri), contamination factor(CF), pollution load index(PLi), geoaccumulation index(igeo), and modified degree of contamination(m Cd) were computed. in addition, multivariate statistical techniques(principal component analysis(PCA),hierarchical cluster analysis, and Pearson’s correlation analysis) were applied to identify the potential sources of metals. The mean concentrations of Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, and Ni were 51.3, 61.9, 4.02, 9.9, and 33.4 mg/kg dry wt, respectively. The spatial distribution revealed that the metals concentrations were high at the middle zone and low southward of hodeida city. According to the SQGs, the adverse biological effects of metals were occasionally associated with Cu and Cd, frequently associated with Ni, and not expected to occur with Zn and Pb. The Ri indicated that the sediment of the studied sites pose low(Ri iderable(100 Ri ical risk. The mean effect range-median quotient(M-ERM-Q) indicated that the combination of the studied metals had the toxicity probability of 21% at all studied sites. igeo and CF indicated that the metals concentrations were in the descending order of: Zn > Ni > Pb > Cd > Cu,whereas the PLi and m Cd indicated that Ras isa(Site 5) and Urj village(Site 6) were the most polluted ***, cluster analysis, and correlation analysis found that Cd, Pb, and Ni mostly originated from anthropogenic

This paper deals with the consensus problem in an uncertain multi-agent system whose agents communicate with each other through a weighted undirected(primary)*** considered multi-agent system is described by an uncertain state-space model in which the involved matrices belong to some matrix *** the main contribution of the paper,a unified optimization-based framework is proposed for simultaneously reducing the weights of the edges of the primary communication graph(optimizing the network topology)and synthesizing a controller such that the consensus in the considered uncertain multi-agent system is ensured with an adjustable convergence *** the NP-hardness nature of the optimization problem related to the aforementioned framework,this problem is relaxed such that it can be solved by regular LMi ***/practical-based examples are presented to verify the usefulness of the obtained results.

The provision of wind farm(WF)grid codes(GCs)has become imperative for sustained grid operations,especially for WFs with permanent-magnet synchronous generator(PMSG)wind energy conversion *** techniques have been developed for executing GC requirements in the event of grid *** the methods,an intriguing strategy is to enhance the performance of back-to-back(BTB)converter *** this research,the PiD-type terminal sliding mode control(PiD-TSMC)scheme is implemented for both machine-side and grid-side converter-modified controllers of BTB-converter,to reinforce the nonlinear relationship among the state-variable and the control *** application of this control scheme decreases the response time and improves the robustness of the BTB-converter controllers regarding uncertainty of parameters and external *** grid-side converter tracks the maximum power point,contributing to the rapid decrease of generator active power output during *** frees up converter capacity for injecting GC-compliant reactive current into the ***,the machine-side converter regulates DC-link voltage,in which its variations during external disturbances decrease substantially with the *** discussions on the simulations contemplate on the robustness and efficiency of the implemented PiD-TSMC strategy in comparison to other BTB-converter control strategies.

A new distributed feature selection technique for classifying gene expression data

Classification of gene expression data is a pivotal research area that plays a substantial role in diagnosis and prediction of diseases. Generally, feature selection is one of the extensively used techniques in data mining approaches, especially in classification. Gene expression data are usually composed of dozens of samples characterized by thousands of genes. This increases the dimensionality coupled with the existence of irrelevant and redundant features. Accordingly, the selection of informative genes (features) becomes difficult, which badly affects the gene classification accuracy. in this paper, we consider the feature selection for classifying gene expression microarray datasets. The goal is to detect the most possibly cancer-related genes in a distributed manner, which helps in effectively classifying the samples. initially, the available huge amount of considered features are subdivided and distributed among several processors. Then, a new filter selection method based on a fuzzy inference system is applied to each subset of the dataset. Finally, all the resulted features are ranked, then a wrapper-based selection method is applied. Experimental results showed that our proposed feature selection technique performs better than other techniques since it produces lower time latency and improves classification performance.

Criteria for Response Monotonicity Preserving in Approximation of Fractional Order Systems

Performance of beacon safety message dissemination in Vehicular Ad hoc NETworks (VANETs)

Currently, there is a growing belief that putting an iEEE 802.11-like radio into road vehicles can help the drivers to travel more safely. Message dissemination protocols are primordial for safety vehicular applications. There are two types of safety messages which may be exchanged between vehicles: alarm and beacon. in this paper we investigate the feasibility of deploying safety applications based on beacon message dissemination through extensive simulation study and pay special attention to the safety requirements. Vehicles are supposed to issue these messages periodically to announce to other vehicles their current situation and use received messages for preventing possible unsafe situations. We evaluate the performance of a single-hop dissemination protocol while taking into account the quality of service (QoS) metrics like delivery rate and delay. We realize that reliability is the main concern in beacon message dissemination. Thus, a new metric named effective range is defined which gives us more accurate facility for evaluating QoS in safety applications specifically. Then, in order to improve the performance, the effects of three parameters including vehicle's transmission range, message transmission's interval time and message payload size are studied. Due to special characteristics of the safety applications, we model the relationship between communication-level QoS and application-level QoS and evaluate them for different classes of safety applications. As a conclusion, the current technology of iEEE 802.11 MAC layer has still some challenges for automatic safety applications but it can provide acceptable QoS to driver assistance safety applications.

AiM:To explore levels and determinants of awareness and knowledge about glaucoma among ***:This was a cross-sectional study that included adult patients from October to the end of December 2018.A semi-structured questionnaire was designed by the researchers to measure the levels of awareness and knowledge about 18 basic information about *** sheet was divided into 4 domains:types of glaucoma,risk factors,clinical features,and management.A knowledge score(KS,range=0-18)was calculated,with higher scores indicating higher ***:A total of 383 patients responded to the questionnaire,61.9%males,mean±SD age was 38.5±12.94 years old,and 61.6%had a university degree or *** them,6.3%and 23.2%reported personal and family history of glaucoma,*** most frequently reported source of information about glaucoma was another person with glaucoma(28.2%),followed by physicians(24.8%)and TV(19.6%).Knowledge by item ranged from 3.1%to 82.5%correctness rate,while KS showed mean=5.91 and median=5;and reliability testing of the knowledge scale showed Cronbach’s alpha=*** KS were found among respondents with higher educational level(P=0.036),diabetes history(P=0.025),and personal(Pily(Phistory of ***:This study reveals low awareness and knowledge levels about glaucoma among the attendees of a local eye care hospital,where several misconceptions about disease risk factors,clinical features,and management are identified.

Skill Assessment of Copernicus Climate Change Service Seasonal Ensemble Precipitation Forecasts over iran

Medium to long-term precipitation forecasting plays a pivotal role in water resource management and development of warning ***,the Copernicus Climate Change Service(C3S)database has been releasing monthly forecasts for lead times of up to three months for public *** study evaluated the ensemble forecasts of three C3S models over the period 1993-2017 in iran’s eight classified precipitation clusters for one-to three-month lead *** and non-probabilistic criteria were used for ***,the skill of selected models was analyzed in dry and wet periods in different precipitation *** results indicated that the models performed best in western precipitation clusters,while in the northern humid cluster the models had negative skill *** models were better at forecasting upper-tercile events in dry seasons and lower-tercile events in wet ***,with increasing lead time,the forecast skill of the models *** terms of forecasting in dry and wet years,the forecasts of the models were generally close to observations,albeit they underestimated several severe dry periods and overestimated a few wet ***,the multi-model forecasts generated via multivariate regression of the forecasts of the three models yielded better results compared with those of individual *** general,the ECMWF and UKMO models were found to be appropriate for one-month-ahead precipitation forecasting in most clusters of *** the clusters considered in iran and for the long-range system versions considered,the Météo France model had lower skill than the other models.

Robust Multi-Output Machine Learning Regression for Seismic hazard Model Using Peak Crust Acceleration Case Study,Turkey,iraq and iran

This paper for the first time improved a Robust Multi-Output machine learning regression model for seismic hazard zoning of Turkey, iraq and iran using constructed 3-D shear-wave velocity(Vs), seismic tomography dataset model for the crust and uppermost mantle beneath the study area. The focus of this paper’s opportunity is to develop a scientific framework leveraging machine learning that will ultimately provide the rapid and more complete characterization of earthquake properties. This work can be targeted at improving the seismic hazard zones system ability to detect and associate seismic signals, or at estimating other seismic characteristics(crust acceleration and crust energy) while traditionally, methods cannot monitor the earthquakes system. This work has derived some physical equations for extraction of many variables as inputs for our developed machine learning model based on a reliable understanding of the tomography data to physical variables by preparing huge dataset from different physical conditions of crust. We have extracted the velocity values of the shear waves from the original NETCDF file, which contains the S velocity values for every one km of the depths of the crust for the study area from one km down to the uppermost mantle beneath the Middle East. For the first time, this study calculated new seismic hazard parameter called Peak Crust Acceleration(PCA) for seismic hazard analysis by considering the transmitted initial seismic energy through the Earthy wrote in python language ’s crust layers from hypocenter. All machine learning algorithms in this studusing anaconda platform the open-source individual Edition(Distribution).
