In order to improve the hydrogen storage properties of LiBh4-Mgh2 composite, two different kinds of Nb-based catalysts, NbC and NbF5, were added to LiBh4-Mgh2 composite by ball milling, and the effect of catalysts on hydrogen storage properties of the modified LiBh4-Mgh2 system was investigated. The experimental results show that LiBh4-Mgh2 composite is a two-step dehydrogenation process, and Nb-based compounds can remarkably enhance its dehydrogenation kinetics. For the composite without addition of catalysts, the starting decomposition temperature for the first dehydrogenation step is around 320℃, and there is a long period of incubation time（around 220 min） for the occurrence of the second decomposition step even at high temperature of 450℃. It needs more than 10 h to complete the decomposition process and release around 9 wt% h2. After addition of 5 mol% NbF5, the starting decomposition temperature for the first dehydrogenation step is around 150℃, there is no incubation time for the second decomposition step, and it takes around 40 min to complete the second step and reaches a total dehydrogenation capacity of 9.5 wt%. NbF5 has better catalytic effect than NbC. Based on the hydrogenation/dehydrogenation behaviors and structural variation, the mechanism of catalytic effect was discussed.

Objective To investigate the effect of Coriolus versicolor polysaccharide-B （CVPs-B） on the biological characteristics of human esophageal carcinoma cell line Ecal09 in vitro. Methods The cells of experimental group （EG） were cultured in DMEM with 10% FCS and 150μg/mL CVPs-B, the cells of control group （CG） were cultured in DMEM with 10% FCS without CVPs-B. MTT reduction assay was performed to detect the effect of CVPs-B on the proliferation of Ecal09 cells after the compound was administrated in varying concentrations. The living conditions of the Ecal09 cells were determined using trypan blue exclusion. Then, cell growth curves were drawn. Flow cytometry was performed to detect the effect of CVPs-B on the apoptosis and cell cycle of Ecal09. Results In comparison with the CG, a marked decrease in the proliferation of Eca09 cells was observed in the EG, after incubation with CVPs-B. The survival rate of Eca09 cells decreased as the time of CVPs-B incubation prolonged. Comparing the cell cycles and apoptotic rates between the two groups, the proportions of cells in the G0/G1, S, and G2/M phases in the EG were found to be （68.4±3.7）%, （13.9±2.1）%, and （17.7±1.4）%, respectively, after 24 h incubation with CVPs-B. The cells had an apoptotic rate of （9.7±0.7）%. On the other hand, the proportions of the G0/G1, S, and G2/M cells of the CG were found to be （53.9±3.6）%, （26.6±2.8）%, and （19.5±2.3）%, respectively, with an apoptotic rate of （5.7±1.4）%. In comparison with the CG cells, significant cell growth in the G0/G1 phase was observed in the EG （P〈0.05）. Furthermore, a significant decrease in the number of cells in the S phase was observed （P〈0.05） in the EG. Conclusions CVPs-B can inhibit proliferation and enhance apoptosis of Ecal09 cells and may be useful in the treatment of esophageal carcinoma.

The microstructures of carbon precursors significantly affect the electrochemical performance of Si/C composite ***,the interaction between Si and carbon materials with different structures is still ***-based materials undergoing different thermal treatments are superior sources for synthesizing carbons with different ***,different types of mesophase pitch(domain,flow-domain and mosaic structure) obtained from controllable thermal condensation are utilized to prepare Si/C composite materials and the corresponding models are established through finite element simulation to explore the correlation between the lithium storage properties of Si/C composites and the structures of carbon *** results indicate that the flow-domain texture pitch P2 has a better ability to buffer the volume expansion of silicon particles for its highly ordered arrangement of carbon crystallites inside could disperse the swelling stress uniformly alongside the particle *** sample Si@P2 exhibits the highest capacity of 1328 mA h/g after 200 cycles at a current density of 0.1 A/g as well as the best rate performance and *** sample Si@P3 in which the mosaic texture pitch P3 composed of random orientation of crystallites undergoes the fastest capacity *** findings suggest that highly ordered carbon materials are more suitable for the synthesis of Si/C composite anodes and provide insights for understanding the interaction between carbon and silicon during the charging/discharging process.

Background:The utility of neoadjuvant treatment for resectable pancreas cancer is yet to be determined,but has commonly included *** evaluated outcomes in patients with radiographically resectable pancreatic adenocarcinoma treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy without ***:A retrospective review of patients in our institutional pancreatic cancer registry was performed,which identified 36 patients who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy alone for resectable pancreatic adenocarcinoma between 2012 and ***:Median age at diagnosis was 66.3 *** regimens included gemcitabine(n=17),gemcitabine/nab-paclitaxel(n=8),or 5-FU/leucovorin/irinotecan/oxaliplatin(FOLFIRINOX)(n=11).Surgical resection was performed in 69%of patients(n=25),with an R0 resection rate of 92%(n=23 patients).During chemotherapy,distant disease became apparent in 19%of patients(n=7),while no patients had evidence of local *** rates were similar between chemotherapy regimens(single agent=59%,multiple agent=79%).Median overall survival for all patients who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy was 30.3 and 34.4 months for those who underwent surgical *** was no difference in median survival for patients treated with gemcitabine(31.3 months)or multi-agent chemotherapy(29.7 months).Conclusions:A short course of neoadjuvant chemotherapy without chemoradiation may improve patient selection prior to surgical resection for pancreas ***,local disease progression did not limit surgical resection in this small series.

Due to their toxicity,the increased distribution of microcystins(MCs) has become an important worldwide *** have been recognized as inhibitors of protein phosphatase 2A(PP2A) through their binding to the PP2A catalytic ***,the exact mechanism of MC toxicity has not been elucidated,especially concerning the cellular response and its *** further dissect the role of PP2A in MC-induced toxicity,the present study was undertaken to determine the response of PP2A in human amniotic epithelial(FL) cells treated with microcystin-LR(MCLR),one of the MC *** results show that a low-dose treatment of MCLR in FL cells for 6 h induced an increase in PP2A activity,and a high-dose treatment of MCLR for 24 h decreased the activity of PP2A,as *** increased mRNA and protein levels of the PP2A C subunit may explain the increased activity of ***,MCLR altered microtubule post-translational modifications through *** results further clarify the underlying mechanism how MCLR affects PP2A and may be helpful for elucidating the complex toxicity of MCLR.

Synthesizing nitrogen(N)-containing molecules from biomass derivatives is a new strategy for production of this kind of ***,for the first time we present the synthesis of N-substituted aryl pyrroles via reductive amination/cyclization of levulinic acid(LA)with primary aromatic amines and hydrosilanes(e.g.,PMhS)over Cs F,and a series of N-substituted aryl pyrroles could be obtained in good to excellent yields at 120○*** mechanism investigation indicates that the reaction proceeds in two steps:the cyclization between amine and LA occurs first to form intermediate 5-methyl-N-alkyl-1,3-dihydro-2h-pyrrolones and their isomeride(B),and then the chemo-and region-selective reduction of intermediates take place to produce the final *** approach for synthesis of N-substituted aryl pyrroles can be performed under mild and green conditions,which may have promising applications.

Traditional "magic numbers" were once regarded as immutable throughout the nuclear chart. however, unexpected changes were found for unstable nuclei around N = 20. With both proton and neutron numbers around the magic number of 20, the neutron-rich ^(39)Cl isotope provides a good test case for the study of the quantumstate evolution across the major shell. In the present work, the negative parity states in ^(39)Cl are investigated through the β decay spectroscopy of 39 S. Newly observed γ transitions together with a new state are assigned into the level scheme of ^(39)Cl. The spin parity of 5/2^- for the lowest negative parity state in ^(39)Cl is reconfirmed using the combined γ transition information. These systematic observations of the negative parity states in ^(39)Cl allow a comprehensive comparison with the theoretical descriptions. The lowest 5/2^- state in ^(39)Cl remains exotic in terms of comparisons with existing theoretical calculations and with the neighboring isotopes having similar single-particle configurations. Further experimental and theoretical investigations are suggested.
