With the integra.ion of ultrafast reflectivity and pola.imetry probes,we observed carrier relaxa.ion and spin dyna.ics induced by ultrafast laser excita.ion of Ni(111)single *** carrier relaxa.ion time within the linear excita.ion range reveals that electron-phonon coupling and dissipa.ion of photon energy into the bulk of the crystal take tens of *** the other hand,the observed spin dyna.ics indicate a longer time of about 120 *** further understand how the lattice degree of freedom is coupled with these dyna.ics may require the integra.ion of an ultrafast diffraction probe.

in this work,the spray beha.iors of a rotary atomizer with round-shaped injection orifices are experimentally investigated to study the breakup mecha.ism and spray characteristics using RP-3 as the liquid *** breakup process of the liquid is visua.ized by the backlight shadow ima.ing method,which also provides the measurements of liquid breakup length and penetra.ion *** injection mode of the liquid film is observed using the front-light illumina.ion *** droplet size and distribution are measured using the laser particle size analyzer at va.ious ra.ial *** typical breakup modes are identified:the ligament breakup mode,bag breakup mode,and shear breakup *** Weber number(Wed)and momentum flux ra.io(q)are used to elaborate the liquid breakup *** of droplet sizing indicate that the Sauter mean diameter decreases with a higher rota.ional speed and slightly va.ies with the volume flow rate.A correla.ion between liquid breakup modes and non-dimensional droplet size is established based on Wed and *** study presents some significance for understanding the impacts of the rota.ional speed and volume flow rates on the spray performance of actual a.ia.ion fuels in rotary atomizers.

Thyroid hormones play essential roles in spermatogenesis,but their effects on infertile males remain poorly *** study aimed to evaluate the impact of combining carbimazole(CBZ)with vita.in e(Ve)on testicular injury induced by experimental hyperthyroidism in adult albino rats,focusing on oxida.ive,inflammatory,and apoptotic *** this experimental study,64 adult male albino Wistar rats were divided into eight groups:Group i(control-untreated),Group ii(CBZ-control),Group iii(Ve-control),Group iV(CBZ+Ve-control),Group V(levothyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group Vi(levothyroxine+CBZ-treated),Group Vii(levothyroxine+Ve-treated),and Group Viii(levothyroxine+CBZ+Ve-treated).The study was conducted in the Faculty of Medicine,Suez Canal University(ismailia,egypt).After cervical deca.ita.ion,both testes and epididymis were exa.ined histopathologically and *** differences were observed among groups concerning malondialdehyde(MDA),glutathione(GSh),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT;all Perase chain reaction analysis showed significant differences in tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-10(iL-10),Bcl-2-associated X protein(BAX),B-cell lymphoma 2 protein(Bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)mRNA levels(all Phyperthyroid group treated with CBZ alone(Group Vi)exhibited testicular side effects,affecting seminiferous tubules and ***,the Group Viii showed improved spermatogenesis and a decrease in testicular side *** addition of Ve to the treatment of hyperthyroid rats with CBZ reduced testicular side effects and seminiferous tubular affection when potentially improving *** research is needed to elucidate the underlying mecha.isms fully.

Although considerable research efforts have been devoted to the design and development of non-noble electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(OeR), substantial enhancement of OeR performance with commercial-scale water electrolysis remains a big challenge. This could result from the difficulties in detecting the intrinsic properties and overlooking the assembly process for electrochemical OeR process. here, we employ a microjet collision method to investigate the intrinsic OeR activities of individual NiZnFeO_x entities with and without a moderate magnetic field. Our results demonstrate that single NiZnFeO_x nanoparticles(NPs) show the excellent OeR performance with a lowest onset potential(~1.35 V vs. Rhe) and a greatest magnetic enhancement(~118%) among bulk materials, single agglomera.ions and NPs. Furthermore, we explore the utility of theoretical investiga.ion by density functional theory(DFT)calcula.ions for studying OeR process on NiZnFeO_x surfaces without and with spin a.ignment, indica.ing monodispersed NiZnFeO_xNPs with totally spin a.ignment fa.ilitates the OeR process under the external magnetic field. it is found that the well-dispersion of NiZnFeO_x NPs would increase the electrical conductivity and the surface spin state, resulting in promoting their OeR activities. This work provides a test for uncovering the essential roles of NPs assembly to a significant promotion of their magnet-assisted OeR.

Objective:Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)requires comprehensive *** nursing protocols may enhance outcomes,but evidence is *** study evaluated the effect of a structured nursing protocol on RA *** and Methods:in this one-group pre-post study,30 egyptian RA pa.ients completed assessments before and after a 12-week nursing protocol comprising educa.ion,psychosocial support,and self-management *** included clinical evalua.ion of joint counts,erythrocyte sedimenta.ion rate(eSR),and C-reactive protein(CRP)and pa.ient-reported Arthritis Self-efficacy Scale(ASeS),health Assessment Questionnaire(hAQ),Visual Analog Scale(VAS)for pain,and hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(hADS).Results:The study demonstrated significant improvements in both clinical-and pa.ient-reported *** count decreased from 18.4±4.2 to 14.2±3.8(PeSR from 30.1±6.8 mm/h to 25.5±6.8 mm/h(Pevels from 15.2±3.6 mg/L to 11.8±2.9 mg/L(Peported outcomes showed a marked increase in ASeS score from 140±25 to 170±30(Peductions in hAQ from 1.6±0.4 to 1.3±0.3(Pin score from 7.8±1.7 to 6.2±1.2(PhADS anxiety and depression scores from 11±3 to 8±2(Ped nursing protocol significantly improved clinical disease activity,physical functioning,pain,self-efficacy,and emotional well-being in RA pa.ients.A multifaceted nursing intervention appears beneficial for optimizing RA outcomes.

This study discusses the effects of local sites and hazard amplifica.ion on the seismic vulnera.ility assessment of existing masonry *** this context,a ra.id seismic evalua.ion procedure was implemented on an old masonry building stock in the historical center Galata,located inistanbul,to determine the seismic risk priority of the built *** scena.ios were generated for all soil classes,different moment magnitudes,and source-to-site distances to obtain more accurate results for the seismic vulnera.ility assessment of the studied building ***,damage distributions estimated under nine different scena.ios with/without site effects were compared and illustrated in maps to discuss changes in vulnera.ility owing to amplifica.ion *** this study,by re-exa.ining the ra.id seismic evalua.ion procedure by including geo-hazard-based assessment,the importance of site effects on the vulnera.ility and risk assessment of built heritage was *** proposed framework integra.ing field data and local site effects is believed to advance the current applica.ions for vulnera.ility assessment of masonry buildings and provide an improvement in the applica.ion of ra.id seismic assessment procedures with more reliable results.

Flavone improves liver damage in nicotine-exposed rats via the Nrf2/hO-1 pathway

Objective:To assess the hepatoprotective effects of flavone on nicotine-induced liver ***:Thirty-six rats were allocated into six groups:the control group,the nicotine group,the flavone alone groups(10 and 25 mg/kg/body weight),and the nicotine groups treated with flavone(10 and 25 mg/kg/body weight).Liver function,oxida.ive stress,Nrf2 pathway(hO-1,Nrf2,and Keap-1),and inflammatory markers(iL-17,TNF-α,and NF-κB)were ***,a histopathological exa.ina.ion of liver tissues was ***:Nicotine increased liver damage,inflamma.ion,and oxida.ive ***,flavone suppressed nicotine-induced liver enzymes,oxida.ive stress,and inflamma.ion,as ma.ifested by increased antioxidants and decreased malondialdehyde level,liver enzyma.ic activities,and inflammatory ***(10 and 25 mg/kg/body weight)also reduced the level of Keap-1 and increased hO-1 and Nrf2 levels in the liver of nicotine-exposed ***:Flavone has hepatoprotective properties and may slow the progression of liver injury by reducing oxida.ive stress,liver enzymes,and inflamma.ion possibly via the Nrf2 pathway.

For the dyna.ics of three-dimensional electron–positron–ion plasmas, a fluid quantum hydrodyna.ic model is proposed by considering Landau quantiza.ion effects in dense ***–neutral collisions in the presence of the Coriolis force are also considered. The applica.ion of the reductive perturba.ion technique produces a wave evolution equa.ion represented by a damped Korteweg–de Vries equa.ion. This equa.ion, however, is insufficient for describing waves in our system at very low dispersion coefficients. As a result, we considered the highest-order perturba.ion, which resulted in the damped Kawahara equa.ion. The effects of the magnetic field, Landau quantiza.ion, the ra.io of positron density to electron density, the ra.io of positron density to ion density, and the direction cosine on linear dispersion laws as well as soliton and conoidal solutions of the damped Kawahara equa.ion are explored. The understanding from this research can contribute to the broader field of astrophysics and aid in the interpreta.ion of observa.ional data from white dwarfs.

This paper theoretically studies the impurity states and the effects of impurity concentra.ion and configura.ion on the optical,electrical,and sta.istical properties of CdSe nanoplatelets(NPLs).An image charge-based model of electron-impurity interaction is *** charge-carrier energy spectra and corresponding wave functions depending on the impurity number and configura.ion are *** electron binding energies are calculated for different NPL *** is shown that the image charge-based interaction potential that a.ises due to the dielectric constants mismatch is much stronger than the interaction potential that does not take such a mismatch into ***,it is demonstrated that the binding energies are increa.ing with the number of *** calculate the canonical partition function using the energy levels of the electron,which in turn is used to obtain the mean energy,heat capa.ity,and entropy of the non-interacting electron *** thermodyna.ic properties of the non-interacting electron gas that depend on the geometric parameters of the NPL,impurity number,configura.ion,and temperature are studied.

A common reclama.ion practice for closed coal surface mines is filling them with water to form pit *** crea.ion and sustaina.ility of these lakes are significantly affected by the sta.ility of the corresponding *** present study provides a general framework for analyzing the water filling’s effect on slope sta.ility based on a new water filling index,which can indirectly consider the factors affecting the process and efficiently quantify the filling speed’s *** assumptions of the proposed approach are thoroughly discussed,and the range of the water filling index is ***,the safety factor is calculated using the finite element method with the shear strength reduction technique during the filling process for va.ious conditions(soil properties,slope geometry,hydraulic conditions,and water filling speed).Results are presented as norma.ized sta.ility charts for practical *** the water filling,the sta.ility gradually decreases until the reservoir reaches a critical level of 10%e40%of the total height;it then increases to even more stable conditions than the initial ***,the present analysis allows for the preliminary sta.ility evalua.ion of a coal mine during the forma.ion of a pit lake and the appropriate quantifica.ion of the water filling’s effect.
