Musa beccarii *** var. beccarii and Musa beccarii *** var. hottana h?kkinen were described earlier in Acta Phytotaxonomica et Geobotanica based on their morphological characteristics. In order to distinguish the genomes between the two M. beccarii varieties and M. coccinea Andrews, we have now studied them with the Inter- Retrotransposon Amplified Polymorphism (IRAP) marker analyses. The high levels of IRAP polymorphism detected in this study showed that M. beccarii var. beccarii and M. beccarii var. hottana are two distinct varieties. Additional IRAP bands found in M. beccarii var. beccarii indicated that M. beccarii var. hottana might be evolutionarily more ancient than M. beccarii var. beccarii because LTR retrotransposons are not transpositionally removed.

A solid state reaction method was used to synthesize barium titanate （BT） and barium cerium titanate （BCT） ceramics at sintering temperature of 1473 K for 4 h. The effect of cerium （Ce） on the structure, microstructure and dielectric properties of BCT was investigated. The scanning electron microscopy （SEM） investigations revealed that the grain size increases with increasing Ce content. The X-ray diffraction （XI^D） patterns showed mostly the BT phase, where the lattice parameter decreased with the addition of Ce. The temperature dependence of dielectric constant showed decrease in the phase transition temperature with higher Ce content. The dielectric constant decreased slightly with increasing frequency. The direct current （dc） density-voltage characteristics of the ceramics showed ohmic behavior for both the BT and BCT. As the temperature increased, the dc resistivity of the ceramics decreased. The activation energy increased with increasing Ce content.

Peristaltic flow of magnetohydrodynamic （MhD） Williamson fluid in a symmetric chan- nel is addressed. Modeling is given with Sorer and Dufour effects. Channel walls have compliant properties. Analysis has been carried out through long wavelength and low Reynolds number approach. The obtained series solutions for small Weissenberg number are developed. Impact of variables reflecting the salient features of wall properties, Blot numbers and Soret and Dufour on the velocity, temperature and concentration has been point out. Trapping phenomenon is also analyzed.

Mathematical model is developed for peristaltic flow of viscous fluid through a compliant wall channel subject to melting heat transfer. Fluid is incompressible and magnetohy- drodynamic. Analysis has been performed in the presence of Joule heating and thermal radiation. Solutions for small wave number are obtained. Physical quantities of interest are examined for various parameters of interest.

Magnetohydrodynamic peristaltic flow of Jeffery fluid in an asymmetric channel is addressed. The channel walls satisfy the convective conditions. Asymmetry here is con- sidered due to wave trains of different amplitudes and phases. Solutions for the velocity, temperature and pressure gradient are obtained using long wavelength approximation. Plots reflecting the impact of various parameters of interest are shown and examined.

AIM： To investigate the immunogenicity of h pylori proteins, to evaluate the production rate of anti h pylori IgG antibodies in relation to time and to demonstrate the fidelity of newly optimized in-house enzymelinked immunosorbent assay （ELISA） technique as an alternative for h pylori infection assay. METhODS： In the present study, 100 μg of formalinfixed h pylori whole cell antigens was injected into an experimental animal （New Zealand white female rabbit） intramuscularly on d 0, 16, 27 and 35. The first two doses were injected with adjuvants. On d 0, a serum sample was collected from the rabbit before immunization and this pre-immunized serum was used as a negative control for the whole study. To evaluate the immunogenic responses of the injected antigen, serum samples were collected from the rabbit at regular intervals up to d 42. The sera were analyzed using inhouse ELISA and Western blot techniques.RESULTS： The production of anti hpylor/IgG antibodies in the rabbit in response to the injected antigen increased almost exponentially up to d 14 and after that it was maintained at the same level until the last day （d 42）. By analyzing the immune profiles of immunized sera, 11 proteins were identified to be immunogenic, among them 2 （approximately 100 kDa and 85 kDa） were most prominent. CONCLUSION： Analysis of the immune responses against pathogenic microorganisms like h py/ori is necessary for the development of various diagnostic and preventive approaches. The results of this experiment reveal that the formalin-fixed h pylori whole cell antigens injected into the rabbit are highly immunogenic. These prominent proteins （approximately 100 kDa and 85 kDa） might have higher immunogenic effects among humans infected with h pylori and some of these immunogenic proteins can be included in diagnostic approaches based on serology and also for vaccine formulation. The in- house ELISA is a promising alternative compared to invasive techniques.

The hepatotoxic effect of potassium bromide(KBr)on rat liver tissues were determined,as well as the potential protective effect of Tegillaraca granosa(***)flesh body *** adult male albino rats were equally distributed into four groups;Group(I)treated with physiological saline(control group),Group(II)was orally gavaged by 200 mg/kg of *** body extract day after day,Group(III)was intoxicated by KBr(150 mg/kg bwt day after day orally)and finally,Group(IV)was given a combination of *** flesh body extract plus KBr with similar doses in the second and third *** the end of one month,blood,liver tissue and bone marrow samples were collected to be used for the required laboratory *** response to KBr toxicity,there was a significant increase in serum antioxidant biomarkers,which was accompanied by a significant change in hepatocyte ultrastructure and a significant change in carbohydrate and protein levels within the liver *** addition,KBr intoxication resulted in a substantial increase in the incidence of chromosomal aberrations such as holes,splits,deletions,fragments,ploidy,and ring chromosomes,as well as significant upregulation of TGF-1,VEGF,and COX-2 gene *** hepatotoxic effect of KBr was counteracted by treatment with *** flesh body *** flesh body extract has a curative antioxidant and numerous protective effects against KBr hepatotoxicity.

hepatitis C virus(hCV)is a global health concern associated with significant morbidity and *** the approval of second-generation direct-acting antiviral agents(DAAs),interferon therapy and liver transplantation constituted the mainstay of *** introduction of well-tolerated oral DAAs in late 2013 has revolutionized hCV management with over 95%cure *** predominance of hCV-related liver transplantations has declined following the widespread approval of *** the unparallel efficacy observed among these novel therapies,pharmaceutical costs continue to limit equitable access to healthcare and likely contribute to the differential hCV infection rates observed *** reduce the burden of disease worldwide,essential agenda items for all countries must include the prioritization of integrated care models and access to DAAs *** transparent negotiations with the pharmaceutical industry,the consideration for compassionate release of medications to promote equitable division of care is *** we provide a literature review of hCV,changes in epidemiologic trends,access issues for current therapies,and global inequities in disease burden.
