TiC_(x)is an excellent composite strengthening particle and grain refiner for Al ***,the stability of TiC_(x)is poor when solute Si exists in Al alloy melts,which significantly depresses its strengthening and grain refining *** this work,the destabilization mechanisms of the TiC_(x)particles in Al-Si alloy melt with a composition of Al-7Si-7.5TiC were explored via experiments,first-principles calculations and thermodynamic *** experimental results show that Si atoms diffuse into TiC_(x)and Ti atoms are released into the Al melt to form a Ti-rich transition zone during the insulation of TiC_(x)in Al-Si melt,and the TiAlySiz and Al_(4)C_(3)phases are solidified in the Ti-rich zone and at Ti-rich zone/TiC_(x)interface,*** first principles calculations show that the low formation energy of C vacancies facilitates the rapid diffusion of Si atoms in TiC_(x),while the doping of Si atoms reduces the energy barrier of diffusion of Ti atoms in TiC_(x)and promotes the formation of Ti-rich *** thermodynamic calculations show that the wide crystallization temperature range of the destabilized product TiAlySiz phase is the key to continuous decomposition of TiC_(x)*** addition,the driving force of the main destabilization reaction of TiC_(x)in the Al-Si alloys is about 44 times higher than that in the Al alloys without Si *** indicates that the presence of solute Si remarkably promotes the subsequent decomposition process of TiC_(x)in the Al-Si alloy melts.

The corrosion inhibition for carbon steel in circulating cooling water by modified lignosulphonate has been investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy technique. results show that the inhibition efficiency of modified lignosulphonate GCL2 is a great improvement on that of lignosulphonate. The maximum inhibition efficiency of GCL2 reaches 99.21% at the concentration of 400mg·L^-1 at 303K. The corrosion inhibition of GCL2 is attributed to forming adsorption film on the metal surface for the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in GCL2 solution shows more than one ***,results also indicate that it is more efficient in stirring solution than in still solution for GCL2 because the constant of adsorption in stirring solution is much larger than that in still solution. The adsorption of inhibitor GCL2 follows Langmuir＇s adsorption isotherm.

Eutectic alloys have garnered significant attention due to their promising mechanical and physical properties,as well as their technological ***,the discovery of eutectic compositionally complex alloys(ECCAs)(*** entropy eutectic alloys)remains a formidable challenge in the vast and intricate compositional space,primarily due to the absence of readily available phase *** address this issue,we have developed an explainable machine learning(ML)framework that integrates conditional variational autoencoder(CVAE)and artificial neutral network(ANN)models,enabling direct generation of *** overcome the prevalent problem of data imbalance encountered in data-driven ECCA design,we have incorporated thermodynamicsderived data descriptors and employed K-means clustering methods for effective data *** our ML framework,we have successfully discovered dual-or even tri-phased ECCAs,spanning from quaternary to senary alloy systems,which have not been previously reported in the *** findings hold great promise and indicate that ourML framework can play a pivotal role in accelerating the discovery of technologically significant ECCAs.

The resistance between any two lattice points in an infinite, centered-triangular lattice of equal resistors is determined using the lattice Green function method. It is shown that the two-point resistance on the centered-triangular lattice is expressed in terms of the resistance of a triangular lattice. Some exact values for the resistance near the origin of the lattice are presented. For large separation between lattice points the asymptotic forms of the resistance are calculated.

A field experiment was conducted for two consecutive years in a farmer's field at haji Mora Village, Dera Ismail Khan (D.I. Khan) in the Northwest Frontier Province (NWPP) of Pakistan to compare various management practices, such as the effect of various organic manures and gypsum in a rice-wheat cropping system on a saline-sodic Entisol (Zindani soil series). The treatments consisted of 1) a control (rice-wheat), 2) gypsum, 3) farmyard manure (FYM), 4) berseem (Trifolium alexzndrinum L.) as green manure (GM), and 5) dhancha (Sesbania sp.) as GM. All treatments increased yields of both rice and wheat significantly (P r the control, with the green manure treatments proving more economical than the others; while they decreased ph, electrical conductivity (EC), and sodium adsorption ratio (SAr) of the soil. Saturation percentage and available water of the soil were raised for all treatments due to an increase in organic matter content of the soil.

realizing of weld penetration control in gas tungsten arc welding requires establishment of a model describing the relationship between the front-side geometrical parameters of weld pool and the back-side weld width with sufficient accuracy. A neural network model is developed to attain this aim. Welding experiments are conducted to obtain the training data set （including 973 groups of geometrical parameters of the weld pool and back-side weld width） and the verifying data set （108 groups）. Two data sets are used for training and verifying the neural network, respectively. The testing results show that the model has sufficient accuracy and can meet the requirements of weld penetration control.

From a basic solution containing celyltrimethylammonium cations as the template, thin film of mesoporous MCM-41 has been grown on the surface of a pre-treated indium-tin-oxide conducting glass substrate. The channel axis of the film is oriented parallel with the surface plane of the substrate, and the film is stable after careful removal of template in vacuum.
