Estimating Ground Snow Load Based on Ground Snow Depth and Climatological Elements for Snow hazard Assessment in Northeastern China

Extreme snow loads can collapse *** load is calculated based on the ground snow load(that is,the snow water equivalent on the ground).however,snow water equivalent(SWE) measurements are unavailable for most sites,while the ground snow depth is frequently measured and recorded.A new simple practical algorithm was proposed in this study to evaluate the SWE by utilizing ground snow depth,precipitation data,wind speed,and air *** the evaluation,the precipitation was clas sified as snowfall or rainfall according to the air temperature,the snowfall or rainfall was then corrected for measurement error that is mainly caused by wind-induced undercatch,and the effect of snow water loss was *** developed algorithm was applied and validated using data from57 meteorological stations located in the northeastern region of *** annual maximum SWE obtained based on the proposed algorithm was compared with that obtained from the actual SWE *** return period values of the annual maximum ground snow load were estimated and compared to those obtained according to the procedure suggested by the Chinese structural design *** comparison indicated that the use of the proposed algorithm leads to a good estimated SWE or ground snow *** use allowed the estimation of the ground snow load for sites without SWE measurement and facilitated snow hazard mapping.

With the development of quantum computing technology, quantum public-key cryptography is gradually becoming an alternative to the existing classical public-key cryptography. This paper designs a quantum trapdoor one-way function via EpR pairs and quantum measurements. Based on this, a new quantum public-key cryptosystem is presented, which offers forward security,and can resist the chosen-plaintext attack and chosen-ciphertext attack. Compared with the existing quantum public-key cryptos,eavesdropping can be automatically detected in this new quantum public-key cryptosystem under a necessary condition, which is also detailed in the paper.

Sequence-activated chemiluminescence(CL) technique offers a unique approach to detecting specific biomolecules or cellular events with high sensitivity and spatial resolution. The fundamental principle behind sequence-activated CL probes involves tailoring highly-controllable CL signals in response to specific sequences or events of interest, thus enabling high-contrast signals under complex physiological conditions. This sequential activation could be triggered by enzymes, reactive oxygen species(ROS), biothiols or changes in the microenvironment. These unique sequence-activated CL probes bestow several advantages, including minimal background, deep-tissue penetration, and the ability of non-invasive or minimally invasive detection. The sequence-activated CL techniques represent a significant advancement in molecular imaging and diagnostics. In this mini-review, we focus on the latest developments in sequential CL probes, addressing the technical challenges and discussing the future trajectory by harnessing CL signaling and molecular recognition.

Enhancing the concentration of exogenous molecular drugs within the tumor microenvironment through enzyme-catalyzed polymerization presents a novel strategy for cancer therapy. Nonetheless, the optimization of the catalytic efficiency is often impeded by the inefficient expression of enzymes. herein, we reported a self-amplifying fluorescent molecular probe, Bis-hTpICG, for photodynamic therapy(pDT) and subsequent pDT-induced immunoreaction. The Bis-hTp-ICG probe possesses a noticeable enzyme-catalyzed polymerization facilitated by myeloperoxidase(MpO), a crucial enzyme secreted by neutrophils at inflammation sites. Upon exposure to laser irradiation, Bis-hTp-ICG showed a high pDT efficacy, inducing an acute inflammatory response that stimulates further recruitment of neutrophils and then elevated MpO secretion. The heightened level of MpO enhances the accumulation of the Bis-hTp-ICG via self-polymerization or binding with intratumoral proteins following MpO enzyme catalysis, instigating a self-amplifying chain reaction cycle involving Bis-hTp-ICG, neutrophils and ***, pDT efficiently incites immunogenic cell death(ICD) in tumor cells, initiating an anti-tumor immune response including dendritic cells(DCs) maturation, T cell proliferation and reprogramming of tumor-associated neutrophils(TANs). This work portrays a promising strategy for self-amplification of fluorescent molecular probes through adjustable enzyme levels,potentially offering a unique avenue to enhance the tumor accumulation of molecular drugs for improved tumor therapy.

Carbon fibre,steel fibre and graphite were used as conductive fillers to prepare cementitious materials with excellent electrothermal *** electrically conductive cementitious materials with different volume dosages were analysed through compressive and flexural strength,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and temperature rise *** equivalent circuit model was established to study the electrically conductive heat generation mechanism in the electrically conductive cementitious *** results indicate that the mechanical properties of cementitious composite materials with a ternary conductive phase are better than those of pristine cementitious materials because the fibrous filler improves their mechanical ***,the incorporation of graphite in the material reduces its *** fibrous and point-like conductive phase materials into the cementitious material enhances the overall conductive pathway and considerably reduces the electrical resistance of the cementitious material,enhancing its conductive *** volume ratios of carbon fibre,steel fibre and graphite that achieve an optimal complex doping in the cementitious material were 0.35%,0.6%and 6%,*** was determined using the mutation point of each circuit element parameter as the percolation *** addition,at a certain safety voltage,there is a uniform change between the internal and surface temperatures of the conductive cementitious material,and the heating effect in this materialis is considerably better than that in the pristine cementitious material.

plasmonic nanoantennas provide unique opportunities for precise control of light–matter coupling in surface-enhanced infrared absorption(SEIRA)spectroscopy,but most of the resonant systems realized so far suffer from the obstacles of low sensitivity,narrow bandwidth,and asymmetric Fano resonance ***,we demonstrated an overcoupled resonator with a high plasmon-molecule coupling coefficient(μ)(OC-hμresonator)by precisely controlling the radiation loss channel,the resonator-oscillator coupling channel,and the frequency detuning *** observed a strong dependence of the sensing performance on the coupling state,and demonstrated that OC-hμresonator has excellent sensing properties of ultra-sensitive(7.25%nm^(−1)),ultra-broadband(3–10μm),and immune asymmetric Fano *** characteristics represent a breakthrough in SEIRA technology and lay the foundation for specific recognition of biomolecules,trace detection,and protein secondary structure analysis using a single array(array size is 100×100μm^(2)).In addition,with the assistance of machine learning,mixture classification,concentration prediction and spectral reconstruction were achieved with the highest accuracy of 100%.Finally,we demonstrated the potential of OC-hμresonator for SARS-CoV-2 *** findings will promote the wider application of SEIRA technology,while providing new ideas for other enhanced spectroscopy technologies,quantum photonics and studying light–matter interactions.

For space-based gravitational wave （GW） detection,the main noise source for massive black hole binaries （MBhBs） is attributed to approximately 10～7double white dwarf binaries in the *** a GW source,the amplitude of the detector response,recorded by a space-based gravitational wave detector,exhibits a modulation effect with a year period when observing the source from various orbital *** the adverse conditions mentioned above,where there is a strong foreground noise and annual modulation in the signals,we employed the wavelet transform and the strong-amplitude relevant orbital position search methods,which allows the weak MBhB sources to achieve higher locating *** detail,for two MBhB sources of lower intensity,the precision of luminosity distance,represented by the ratio ?DL/DLat the 95%confidence level,is enhanced by factors of ～*** angular resolutions,denoted by??s,are enhanced by a factor of ～*** improvements increase the number of detectable GW sources,facilitate multi-messenger follow-up observations and provide constraints on the cosmological constant.

This study primarily investigates the rock fracture mechanism of bottom cushion layer blasting and explores the effects of the bottom cushion layer on rock *** involves analyses of the evolution patterns of blasting stress,characteristics of crack distribution,and rock fracture features in the ***,blasting model experiments were carried out using the dynamic caustics principle to investigate the influence of bottom cushion layers and initiation methods on the integrity of the bottom rock *** experimental results indicate that the combined use of bottom cushion layers and inverse initiation effectively protects the integrity of the bottom rock ***,the process of stress wave propagation and dynamic crack propagation in rocks was simulated using the continuum-discontinuum element method(CDEM)and the Landau explosion source model,with varying thicknesses of bottom cushion *** numerical simulation results indicate that with increasing cushion thickness,the absorption of energy generated by the explosion becomes more pronounced,resulting in fewer cracks in the bottom rock *** illustrates the positive role of the cushion layer in protecting the integrity of the bottom rock mass.

In recent years,the number of patientswith colon disease has increased *** polyps are the precursor lesions of colon *** not diagnosed in time,they can easily develop into colon cancer,posing a serious threat to patients’lives and health.A colonoscopy is an important means of detecting colon ***,in polyp imaging,due to the large differences and diverse types of polyps in size,shape,color,etc.,traditional detection methods face the problem of high false positive rates,which creates problems for doctors during the diagnosis *** order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of colon polyp detection,this question proposes a network model suitable for colon polyp detection(pD-YOLO).This method introduces the self-attention mechanism CBAM(Convolutional Block Attention Module)in the backbone layer based on YOLOv7,allowing themodel to adaptively focus on key information and ignore the unimportant *** help themodel do a better job of polyp localization and bounding box regression,add the SpD-Conv(Symmetric positive Definite Convolution)module to the neck layer and use deconvolution instead of *** results indicate that the pD-YOLO algorithm demonstrates strong robustness in colon polyp *** to the original YOLOv7,on the Kvasir-SEG dataset,pD-YOLO has shown an increase of 5.44 percentage points in Ap@0.5,showcasing significant advantages over other mainstream methods.
