Constraints on what controls millennial-scale basin-wide denudation across mountain belts, Asia

The terrestrial cosmogenic nuclide dataset consisting of 123310Be measurements of fluvial sediment samples across the Asian mountain belts is used to constrain the influence of climate,tectonics and topography on Earth-surface denudation processes.10Be-derived basin-wide denudation rates were recalculated using a Monte Carlo simulation approach that relied on pixel-by-pixel production *** rates derived span four orders of magnitude,from 7.4±0.7 mm kyr-1（1σ;Central Tibetan Plateau） to 9,646744+777mm kyr-1（1σ;Southern Tibetan Plateau）,with a median of 186 mm *** our results with the traditional basin-wide production rate scaling model using a centroid coordinate and mean elevation,suggests that 96.6%of production rates will be underestimated using the latter method,especially for basins with a large *** bias between both methods reaches as large as 40%,caused by basin hypsometry and the nonlinear scaling of production rate with elevation and *** of the correlations between uniformly recalculated denudation rates and tectonics,climate,topography and rock lithology will facilitate the extrapolation of denudation rates in unknown basins using available *** the perspective of local scales,precipitation coupled with neotectonics-driven landslides is likely the most influential factor in subtropical Taiwan Island,while topography primarily constrains surface denudation rates in the eastern Tibetan Plateau within a narrow range of *** highland regions with glacier coverage,such as the Pamir,central and southern Tibetan Plateau high denudation rates are affected by glaciation,whereas lower precipitation and high erosion base level may limit river incision and evolving relief in the Central Tibetan *** contrast to local-scale findings highlighting a dominant factor constraining denudation rate,our large-scale quantitative analyses across the Asian mountain belts finds that （1） topographic metrics including

distributed optimal consensus control for multiagent systems based on event-triggered and prioritized experience replay strategies

This study uses event-triggered(ET) and reinforcement learning methods to investigate the optimal consensus control problem for cooperative-competitive multiagent systems. It proposes a novel distributed ET control strategy, which relies on a prioritized experience replay(PER) policy. This strategy not only conserves communication resources but also ensures acceptable system performance. To implement the proposed method, actor-critic(AC) dual-structured neural networks(NNs) are used to approximate the value function and control policy. In the AC NNs, the weight estimates for the NNs are updated at the moment of event triggering, resulting in a nonperiodic weight adjustment pattern. This approach decreases the computational cost in comparison with the traditional ET mechanism. The PER-based ET mechanism makes full use of valid historical data and effectively establishes a balance between system performance and communication resource ***, it does not require the following two conditions in most existing studies:(1) requirement of the system dynamics model to be known, and(2) persistent excitation. In addition, Zeno behavior is excluded from this study. Finally, a simulation is conducted to confirm the validity of the suggested approach.

Stochastic Augmented-Based dual-Teaching for Semi-Supervised Medical Image Segmentation

Secure beamforming and deployment design for rate-splitting multiple access-based UAV communications

Rate-splitting multiple access(RSMA) has recently gained attention as a potential robust multiple access(MA)scheme for upcoming wireless networks. Given its ability to efficiently utilize wireless resources and design interference management strategies, it can be applied to unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) networks to provide convenient services for large-scale access ground users. however, due to the line-of-sight(LoS) broadcast nature of UAV transmission, information is susceptible to eavesdropping in RSMA-based UAV networks. Moreover, the superposition of signals at the receiver in such networks becomes complicated. To cope with the challenge, we propose a two-user multi-input single-output(MISO) RSMA-based UAV secure transmission framework in downlink communication networks. In a passive eavesdropping scenario, our goal is to maximize the sum secrecy rate by optimizing the transmit beamforming and deployment location of the UAV-base station(UAV-BS),while considering quality-of-service(QoS) constraints, maximum transmit power, and flight space limitations. To address the non-convexity of the proposed problem, the optimization problem is first decoupled into two subproblems. Then, the successive convex approximation(SCA) method is employed to solve each subproblem using different propositions. In addition, an alternating optimization(AO)-based location RSMA(L-RSMA) beamforming algorithm is developed to implement joint optimization to obtain the suboptimal solution. Numerical results demonstrate that(1) the proposed L-RSMA scheme yields a28.97% higher sum secrecy rate than the baseline L-space division multiple access(SdMA) scheme;(2) the proposed L-RSMA scheme improves the security performance by 42.61% compared to the L-non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA) scheme.

Revealing and predicting the long-term biomechanical response of orthokeratology by developing a patient-specific computational model

Orthokeratology(OK) is widely used for effective myopia correction and control. however, the incomplete understanding of its biomechanical mechanisms makes OK lens fitting rely heavily on clinician judgment, complicating accurate predictions of treatment outcomes. In this paper, we performed clinical experiments and numerical analysis to study corneal deformation modes and long-term changes in central corneal thickness. Clinical experiments were conducted on 194 Chinese myopic patients under OK treatment for 3 months. Based on the experimental data, a patient-specific computational biomechanical model for OK was established and validated. Specifically, the anisotropic mechanical properties of the cornea were incorporated into the model to describe the significant difference between its shear modulus(29.5 kPa) and tensile modulus(768.4 kPa). Additionally, a viscohyperelastic material model with a prolonged corneal relaxation time of 5.6 h was developed to capture the long-term deformation response. The results show that corneal thickness reduction in OK is primarily due to out-of-plane shear deformation,influenced by the cornea's low shear resistance. Modeling the extended corneal relaxation time is crucial for predicting long-term biomechanical responses. The computational model effectively captures long-term changes in central corneal thickness, potentially improving OK lens fitting accuracy.

The detection, extraction and parameter estimation of extreme-mass-ratio inspirals with deep learning

One of the primary goals of space-borne gravitational wave detectors is to detect and analyze extreme-mass-ratio inspirals(EMRIs). This task is particularly challenging because EMRI signals are complex, lengthy, and faint. In this work, we introduce a2-layer convolutional neural network(CNN) approach to detect EMRI signals for space-borne detectors, achieving a true positive rate(TPR) of 96.9% at a 1% false positive rate(FPR) for signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) from 50 to 100. Especially, the key intrinsic parameters of EMRIs such as the mass, spin of the supermassive black hole(SMBh) and the initial eccentricity of the orbit can also be inferred directly by employing a neural network. The mass and spin of the SMBh can be determined at 99% and 92% respectively. This will greatly reduce the parameter spaces and computing cost for the following Bayesian parameter *** model also has a low dependency on the accuracy of the waveform model. This study underscores the potential of deep learning methods in EMRI data analysis, enabling the rapid detection of EMRI signals and efficient parameter estimation.

Auroral Kilometric Radiation (AKR) is a common radio emission,which can contribute to the magnetosphere-ionosphereatmosphere co u *** emissions have been observed in all magnetic planet magnetospheres of the solar *** this study,using observations from the FAST satellite from 30 August 1996 to 9 September 2001,the distribution of AKR in altitude=500-4500 km and invariant latitude (|ILAT|)=60°-80°has been analyzed.63045 AKR samples have been identified with~48%(52%) samples on the dayside (nightside).Of considerable interest,there is a distinct MLT asymmetry with the high occurrence rate in MLT=05-08 and 18-22(02-05 and 12-17) in the northern (southern) *** distinct MLT asymmetry is associated with the direction of Bxof the interplaneta ry magnetic *** addition,the occurrence rate on the nightside clearly increases as the AE^(*) index *** study further enriches the information and understanding of AKR in the magnetosphere as well as other similar radio emissions.
