In this study we quantify and analyze different components of nocturnal losses from a heated greenhouse with the presence of vegetation for typical winter weather conditions in Marrakesh-Morocco,using a non linear model,based on the greenhouse heat and mass *** was found that 12% of the total input heat was dissipate as a sensible and latent leakage losses,66% was lost by convective exchange through air-inner *** gain of energy at the inner-cover is dissipated at the outer-cover by radiation(66%)and convection(34%).This results point toward some practical measures to reduce heat losses:increasing air tightness,using covering materials with low-emissivity in the long wave band or putting up an external thermal curtain should provide significant energy savings.

Twist morphing （TM） is a practical control technique in micro air vehicle （MAV） flight. however, TM wing has a lower aerodynamic efficiency （CL/CD） compared to membrane and rigid wing. This is due to massive drag penalty created on TM wing, which had overwhelmed the succes- sive increase in its lift generation. Therefore, further CL/CDmax optimization on TM wing is needed to obtain the optimal condition for the morphing wing configuration. In this paper, two-way fluid- structure interaction （FSI） simulation and wind tunnel testing method are used to solve and study the basic wing aerodynamic performance over （non-optimal） TM, membrane and rigid wings. Then, a multifidelity data metamodel based design optimization （MBDO） process is adopted based on the Ansys-DesignXplorer frameworks. In the adaptive MBDO process, Kriging metamodel is used to construct the final multifidelity CL/CD responses by utilizing 23 multi-fidelity sample points from the FSI simulation and experimental data. The optimization results show that the optimal TM wing configuration is able to produce better CL/CDmax magnitude by at least 2% than the non-optimal TM wings. The flow structure formation reveals that low TV strength on the optimal TM wing induces low CD generation which in turn improves its overall CL/CDmax performance.

Microstructure evolutions of the medium-manganese wear-resistant steel Fe-8Mn-1C-1.2Cr-0.2V (in wt.%) with stacking-fault energy of 22 mJ m-2 during deformation at strain rate ranging of 10^-2-1 s^-1 were analyzed by means of X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The results indicate that the twinning-induced plasticity effect is the main strengthening mechanism of the studied steel, whilst the transformation-induced plasticity effect only occurs at high strain rate. With an increase in strain rate, volume fraction of the deformation twins, in particular that of the secondary twins, increases significantly along with decreasing average size. When applied strain rate is higher than 10^-1 s^-1, the parallel deformation twins are turned into a crossing morphology, and the original straight twin boundaries exhibit a ladder feature, which is attributed to the interactions between regular dislocations and twin dislocations at the twin boundary. The critical strain, a key indicator of the initiation of deformation twin, decreases with increasing strain rate. In addition, the ductility and strength of medium-manganese wear-resistant steel Fe-8Mn-1C-1.2Cr-0.2V are mainly determined by the shape and volume fraction of deformation twins.

Chemometric identification of canonical metabolites linking critical process parameters to monoclonal antibody production during bioprocess development

A deeper understanding of the biological events occurring when bioprocess parameters changed will be of great value in improving the monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) production. Design of experiment (DoE) was applied to investigate the effect of process parameters (ph, temperature shift and dissolve oxygen (DO)) on protein titer. The key metabolites connecting the critical process parameters (CPPs) with monoclonal antibody production were identified by different chemometrics tools. Finally, the biological events of marker metabolites relating with titer improvement were concluded. ph and temperature shift were identified as CPPs that affect the target protein titer. A series of metabolites influenced by the altered CPPs and correlated with protein titer were screened by principal component analysis (PCA) and Pearson' correlation test. The marker metabolites and their pathways linking CPPs to target protein titer in different culture phases were summarized. Metabolomics and chemometrics are promising data-driven tools to shine light into the biological black box between the bioprocess parameters and process performance.

One common scenario during disasters such as earthquakes is that the activity of damage field reconnaissance on site is not well-coordinated. For example in Italy the damage assessment of structures after an earthquake is managed from the Italian Emergency Authority, using printed forms （AeDES） which are filled by experts on site generating a lot of confusion in filling and transferring the forms to the Disaster Management Operative Center. Because of this, the paper explores the viability of using mobile communication technologies （smart phones） and the Web to develop response systems that would aid communities after a major disaster, providing channels for allowing residents and responders ofuploading and distributing information, related to structural damages coordinating the damage field reconnaissance. A mobile application that can be run by residents on smart phones has been developed, to give an initial damage evaluation of the area, which is going to be very useful when resources （e.g. the number of experts is limited）. The mobile application has been tested for the first time during 2012 Emilia earthquake to enhance the emergency response, showing the efficiency of the proposed method in statistical terms comparing the proposed procedure with the standard procedure.

A model considering quantitative effects of diffused carbon and nitrogen gradients and kinetics of phase transformation is presented to examine metallo-thermo-mechanical behavior during carburized and nitrided quenching. Coupled simulation of diffusion, phase transformation and stress/strain provides the final distribution of carbon and nitrogen contents as well as residual stress and distortion. Effects of both transformation and lattice expansion induced by carbon and nitrogen absorption were introduced into calculating the evolution of the internal stress and strain. In order to verify the method and the results, the simulated distributions of carbon and nitrogen content and residual stress/strain of a ring model during carburized and nitrided quenching were compared with the measured data.

BACKGROUND Social media has been credited with the potential to transform medicine,and Twitter was recently named“an essential tool”for the academic *** this,peer-to-peer and educational influence on social media has not been studied within orthopaedic *** knowledge is important to identify who is controlling the conversation about orthopaedics to the *** hypothesized that the plurality of top influencers would be sports medicine surgeons,that social media influence would not be disconnected from academic productivity,and that some of the top social media influencers in orthopaedic surgery would not be orthopaedic *** To identify the top 100 social media influencers within orthopaedics,characterize who they are,and relate their social media influence to academic *** Twitter influence scores for the topic“orthopaedics”were collected in July 2018 using Right Relevance *** accounts with the top influence scores were linked to individual names,and the account owners were characterized with respect to specialty,subspecialty,practice setting,location,board certification,and academic hirsch index(h-index).RESULTS Seventy-eight percent of top influencers were orthopaedic *** most common locations included California(13%),Florida(8%),New York(7%),United Kingdom(7%),Colorado(6%),and Minnesota(6%).The mean academic h-index of the top influencers(n=79)was 13.67±4.12(mean±95%CI)and median 7(range 1-89)(median reported h-index of academic orthopaedic faculty is 5 and orthopaedic chairpersons is 13).Of the 78 orthopaedic surgeons,the most common subspecialties were sports medicine(54%),hand and upper extremity(18%),and spine(8%).Most influencers worked in private practice(53%),followed by academics(17%),privademics(14%),and hospital-based(9%).All eligible orthopaedic surgeons with publicly-verifiable board certification statuses were board-certified(n=74).CONCLUSION The top orthopaedic social media influencers on

The use of concrete wastes in asphalt treated base (ATB) not only prevents environmental pollution but also protect stone resources. But the strength of the concrete wastes is often weaker than nature aggregates and the binding properties with asphalt is poor. So it difficult to meet the requirements of asphalt treated base. In this paper,The organosilicone waterproofing material is used to improve the performance of concrete wastes and the long term immersing frozen-thaw cycle test were used to investigate the anti-stripping performance of limestone asphalt mixture,concrete wastes asphalt mixture and concrete wastes asphalt mixture having treated by organosilicone waterproofing material. The experimental results show that organosilicone waterproofing material can improve the water stability of asphalt mixture. The use of concrete wastes in ATB is achievable.
