Managing health Treatment by Optimizing Complex Lab-Developed Test Configurations: A health Informatics Perspective

A complex Laboratory Developed Test(LDT)is a clinical test developed within a single *** is typically configured from many fea-ture constraints from clinical repositories,which are part of the existing Lab-oratory Information Management System(LIMS).Although these clinical repositories are automated,support for managing patient information with test results of an LDT is also integrated within the existing ***,the support to configure LDTs design needs to be made available even in standard LIMS *** manual configuration of LDTs is a complex process and can generate configuration inconsistencies because many constraints between features can remain *** is a risky process and can lead patients to undergo unnecessary *** proposed an optimized solution(opt-LDT)based on Genetic Algorithms to automate the configuration and resolve the inconsistencies in ***-LDT encodes LDT configuration as an optimization problem and generates a consistent configuration that satisfies the constraints of the *** tested and validated opt-LDT for a local secondary care hospital in a real healthcare *** results,averaged over ten runs,show that opt-LDT resolves 90%of inconsistencies while taking between 6 and 6.5 s for each ***,positive feedback based on a subjective questionnaire from clinicians regarding the performance,acceptability,and efficiency of opt-LDT motivates us to present our results for regulatory approval.

In recent paired Nature Medicine publications,Reichert et al.1 and Chai et al.,2 adopted the Crispr/Cas9-adenine base editing(ABE)approach to base correct one of the most common pathogenic variant of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(hCM)—Myh7 gene(c.1208 G>A:***403Gln).They delivered1,2 ABE-Cas9 with single guide RNA(sgRNA)via intra-thoracic injection of dualAAV9 virus which resulted in the dramatic reduction of the hypertrophy and fibrosis in the adult mice model of hCM.

Investigation of ageing effects on the electrical properties of polyaniline/silver nanocomposites

Polyaniline（PANI）/Ag nanocomposites, synthesized by incorporation of separately prepared silver nanoparticles in 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone（NMP） solution of PANI, have been aged at the accelerated temperature of 120℃ to simulate a storage period of 2 years at 25℃. The accelerated ageing of these materials is done by using the activation energy calculated from data collected using heat flow calorimetry （hFC）. The impedance spectroscopic studies of NMP plasticized aged nanocomposite films suggest a microphase separation into reduced and oxidized repeat units. There is crosslinking of the lPANI films during ageing thereby obstructing the charge transfer between PANI chains and silver nanoparticles. As a result, the resistivity is increased.

Autonomous Eyewitness Identification by Employing Linguistic Rules forDisaster Events

Social networking platforms provide a vital source for disseminating information across the globe,particularly in case of *** platforms are great mean to find out the real account of the *** is an example of such platform,which has been extensively utilized by scientific community due to its unidirectional *** is considered a challenging task to identify eyewitness tweets about the incident from the millions of tweets shared by twitter *** community has proposed diverse sets of techniques to identify eyewitness account.A recent state-of-the-art approach has proposed a comprehensive set of features to identify eyewitness ***,this approach suffers some ***,automatically extracting the feature-words remains a perplexing task against each feature identified by the ***,all identified features were not incorporated in the *** paper has utilized the language structure,linguistics,and word relation to achieve automatic extraction of feature-words by creating grammar ***,all identified features were implemented which were left out by the state-of-the-art model.A generic approach is taken to cover different types of disaster such as earthquakes,floods,hurricanes,and *** proposed approach was then evaluated for all disaster-types,including earthquakes,floods,hurricanes,and *** on the static dictionary,the Zahra et *** was able to produce an F-Score value of 0.92 for Eyewitness identification in the earthquake *** proposed approach secured F-Score values of 0.81 in the same *** score can be considered as a significant score without using a static dictionary.

Dynamic stress concentration in an infinitely long cylindrical cavity due to a point spherical source embedded within a fluid-saturated poroelastic formation of infinite extent

The effects of a harmonically exciting monopole source on an infinitely long cylindrical cavity embedded entirely within a fluid-saturated poroelastic formation of infinite extent are examined theoretically. It is assumed that the source is located outside the cavity at a specified distance from the borehole axis. The magnitudes of the hoop and radial stresses beside the pore pressures exerted on the interface and inside the porous medium surrounding the borehole are calculated and discussed. Biot's poroelastic modeling along with three types of boundary conditions for the cylindrical interface including the ideal fluid, empty borehole, and rigid inclusion with a hard boundary is employed for the analysis. Utilizing a proper translational addition theorem for expressing the incident spherical wave in terms of cylindrical wave expansions, the proposed boundary conditions at the interface are satisfied. Stresses are formulated by means of wave potential functions in a three-dimensional(3D) manner. The effects of the frequency and the radial distance between the source and borehole on the induced stresses are examined for the first cylindrical modes over frequency spectra. Two permeability conditions for the interface and three types of soils for the porous formation are considered throughout the analysis. To give an overall outline of the study, a numerical example is presented. The results clearly indicate that the distance is a key parameter and has considerable effects on the induced stress values. In addition, the interface permeability condition and soil characteristics play an important role in determining the dynamic response of the borehole. Finally,the obtained results are compared with the relevant analyses existing in the literature for some limit cases, and good agreement is achieved.

Three-dimensional MhD flow over a shrinking sheet: Analytical solution and stability analysis

The magnetohydrodynamic（MhD） steady and unsteady axisymmetric flows of a viscous fluid over a two-dimensional shrinking sheet are addressed. The mathematical analysis is carried out in the presence of a large magnetic field. The steady state problem results in a singular perturbation problem having an infinite domain singularity. The secular term appearing in the solution is removed and a two-term uniformly valid solution is derived using the Lindstedt–Poincaré technique. This asymptotic solution is validated by comparing it with the numerical solution. The solution for the unsteady problem is also presented analytically in the asymptotic limit of large magnetic field. The results of velocity profile and skin friction are shown graphically to explore the physical features of the flow field. The stability analysis of the unsteady flow is made to validate the asymptotic solution.

Propagation of waves over a rugged topography

The propagation of waves in shallow waters is affected by the bottom topography unlike deep water waves of the coastal *** to the interaction of the wave with bed topography,the wave transformation processes ***,diffraction,shoaling,and breaking are the wave transforma-tion processes that occur in the coastal *** significant wave height over rugged topography is a standardized statistics to denote the characteristic height of the random waves in a sea ***-fore,the objective of the present study is to predict the significant wave height over rugged *** SWAN standalone and SWAN Dhh platform are used to predict significant wave height over rugged topography in Mehamn harbour,*** SWAN model results are almost similar to the lab data of Vold and Lothe(2009)for all the 22 scenarios at all the output ***,the four cases reported by Taehun(2011)and lab data from Vold and Lothe(2009)for that four cases are compared with the SWAN model *** is observed that the SWAN model results are much closer to the lab data of Vold and Lothe(2009).

Animal husbandry is the pillar industry in some ethnic areas of ***,the communication/networking infrastructure in these areas is often underdeveloped,thus the difficulty in centralized management,and challenges for the effective *** the dynamics of the field monitoring environment,as well as the diversity and mobility of monitoring targets,traditional WSN(Wireless Sensor Networks)or IoT(Internet of Things)is difficult to meet the surveillance *** surveillance that features the collaboration of various functions(camera,sensing,image recognition,etc.)deployed on mobile devices is desirable in a volatile wireless *** paper proposes the service function chaining for mobile surveillance of animal husbandry,which orchestrates multi-path multifunction(MPMF)chains to help mobile devices to collaborate in complex surveillance tasks,provide backup chains in case the primary service function chain fails due to mobility,signal strength,obstacle,etc.,and make up for the defects of difficult deployment of monitoring facilities in ethnic *** algorithmmodels both mobile devices and various functions deployed on them as abstract graph nodes,so that chains that are required to traverse various functions and hosting mobile devices can be orchestrated in a single graphbased query through modified and adapted Dijkstra-like algorithms,with their cost ordered *** results show that the proposed MPMF algorithm finds multiple least-costly chains that traverse demanded functions in a timely fashion on Raspberry Pi-equipped mobile devices.
