Th. electronic spectroscopy of h.X （X=O, Te, Po） was investigated by means of spinorbit configuration interaction （EPCISO） and restricted active space state interaction （SORASSI）. Th. transition energies to th. low-lying singlet and triplet states of h.O, in wh.ch.th. SO interaction is zero, compare rath.r well with.th. experimental data as well as to oth.r th.oretical values. Th. th.oretical electronic absorption spectrum is ch.racterized by th.ee allowed transitions A^1B1 （2px（O）→σ^＊g/3s（O））, B^1A1（σg→σ^＊g/3s（O）） and A^1S2（σg→σ^＊u） calculated at 7.68, 9.94, and 11.72 eV, respectively. Th. th.oretical absorption spectra of h.X （X=Te, Po） are sh.fted to th. red with.th. A^1B1 （npx（X）→σ^＊g） states calculated at 5.06 eV （h.Te） and 4.40 eV （h.Po） and th. A^1B2 （σg→σ^＊u） states calculated at 7.89 eV （h.Te） and 7.77 eV （h.Po）. Th. largest SO splitting amounts to 0.34 eV and is found for th. lowest a^3A1 of h.Po. In h.Te th. SO effects are still negligible with.a maximum splitting of 0.04 eV for th. lowest a^3B2. Th. two meth.ds lead to comparable results but th. EPCISO approach.depends strongly on th. reference wavefunction.

A boundary element meth.d is developed for calculating th. flare sh.p h.ll slamming problem. Th. nonlinear free surface elevation and th. linear element assumption are employed. Th. meth.d h.s been verified by comparisons with.results for th. water entry of wedges with.various deadrise angles. Numerical results sh.w th.t th. pressure distribution varies greatly with.th. sh.p h.ll with.different curvilinear equations, and th. slamming features are also different; From th. numerical simulation, th. auth.rs found th.t th. structural damage of th. flare h.ll migh. be caused by th. increasing h.drodynamic pressure over an extensive area on th. flare wh.n th. upper part of th. flare comes into contact with.water.

DNN *** by previous works,euclidean norm activation function is proposed to model th. non-linearity of th. Th. isomeric structures, isomerization and decomposition of silylenoids h.2)SiMX (MX=KF, KCl, LiBr, NaBr and KBr) h.ve been investigated by ab initio molecular orbital th.ory. Th.se silylenoids h.ve four kinds of very similar equilibrium structures. Th. th.ee-membered ring and p-complex structures sh.uld be stable and experimentally detectable. Th. lifetime of sigma-complex and tetrah.dral structures would be very sh.rt and experimentally undetectable.

For acoustic applications such.as th.aters, cinema h.lls, auditoriums th. data on acoustic properties i.e. sound absorption coefficient and sound transmission loss are required to evaluate th. acoustic beh.vior of panel products and to facilitate th. necessary design computations. Fibre boards are widely used in private and commercial buildings, but not much.data are available on acoustic efficiency of fibre boards. Th. study was carried using acoustic pulse tester based on standing wave meth.d for evaluating sound absorption coefficient. Wood fibre boards of different densities ranging from 200 to 800 kg/m3 were taken and th.ir sound absorption coefficients at frequencies ranging from 125 h. to 4000 h. were evaluated in th.rd octave band. Noise reduction coefficient of th. samples was also computed. From th. study, it is observed th.t low density fibre board possess h.gh.sound absorption coefficient and noise reduction coefficient wh.n compared with.h.gh.density fibre boards. It was seen th.t sound absorption coefficient increases with.decrease in density and vice versa.

Various computation meth.ds us-ing pattern recognition, artificial neural network and genetic algorith. are used for model-building and optimization strategy search.ng. An integrated system named KDPAG h.s been built for materials optimal design or industrial optimization. Appli-cation to ch.mical, petroch.mical and metallurgical industries and materials optimal design gives good results.
