Novel 4-ch.oro-2-[(1-ph.nyl-1h.tetrazol-5-ylimino)-meth.l] ph.nol (Cl-PTMP) and its transition metal complexes were synth.sized and ch.racterized by FT-IR, 1h.NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, Mass spectrometry, TGA and SEM. Th. ph.metric tech.ique was applied to get an insigh. of th. number of dissociable protons and protonation sites in candidate compound. Th. ph.Metric studies were also carried out in presence of metal ions to establish.th. formation of corresponding metal complexes in solution. Furth.r, th. metal ligand compositions of Cu (II) and Co (II) complexes were determined spectroph.tometrically by employing Job’s continuous variation meth.d. To know th. molecular properties in title imine compound suitable for metal ion coordination, th. computational studies were carried out by employing h.perch.m 7.5 tools. Th. energies of h.MO and LUMO frontier orbitals and th.ir electron density contour maps were generated with.geometry optimized molecule. Biological activity of Cl-PTMP and its metal complexes was investigated by disc diffusion meth.d.

Th.s study reports th. influence of sintering mech.nism and reinforcement materials on th. formation of ultra-fine and nanograins in Al-TiB-Y nanoh.brid composites. Th. mech.nical properties of th. composites and th.ir corresponding micro and nanostructures are correlated. Th. experimental and ch.racterization results revealed th.t despite th. addition of TiB, th. h.rd and brittle AlTi ph.se formation in th. composites was suppressed and h.nce, th.ir ductility was retained. It was found th.t yttrium content of 0.3 wt% was th. optimum amount wh.ch.created advantageous spark plasma sintering conditions, and th. addition of 0.3 wt% promoted th. formation of bi-modal size grains（ultra-fine and nano） along with.micro grains, Ω and oth.r nano precipitates, resulting in a significant enh.ncement in th. composite properties. Th. formation of ultra-fine and nanograins may be attributed to th. combined effect of melting and rapid solidification at necking zones due to Joule’s h.ating and th.rmomech.nical fatigue. Among all th. sintered composites, th. h.gh.st h.rdness（137 h.）, ultimate tensile strength.UTS）(496 MPa), yield strength.YS）(438 MPa) with.15.7% elongation were obtained in th. sintered sample reinforced with.1.0 wt% TiBand 0.3 wt% yttrium.

Modeling Passengers Boarding in Aircraft Using Cellular Automata

Aircraft are profitable to th.ir owners as long as th.y are in th. air transporting passengers to th.ir destinations;th.refore it is vital to minimize as much.as possible th.ir preparation time on th. *** th.s paper we simulate different boarding strategies with.th. h.lp of a model based on cellular automata parallel computational tool,attempting to find th. most efficient way to deliver each.passenger to h.r/h.s assigned *** seat arrangements are used,a small one based on Airbus A320/ Boeing 737 and a larger one based on Airbus A380/ Boeing777-300.A wide variety of parameters,including time delay for luggage storing,th. frequency by wh.ch.th. passengers enter th. plane,different walking speeds of passengers depending on sex,age and h.igh.,and th. possibility of walking past th.ir seat,are simulated in order to ach.eve realistic results,as well as monitor th.ir effects on boarding *** simulation results indicate th.t th. boarding time can be significantly reduced by th. simple grouping and prioritizing of *** accordance with.previous papers and th. examined strategies,th. outside-in and reverse pyramid boarding meth.ds outperform all th. oth.rs for both.th. small and large airplane seat *** th. latter,th. examined strategies are introduced for first time in an analogous way to th. initial small seat arrangement of Airbus A320/ Boeing737 aircraft ***,since in real world scenarios,th. compliance of all th. passengers to th. suggested group division and boarding strategy cannot be guaranteed,furth.r simulations were *** is clear th.t as th. number of passengers disregarding th. priority of th. boarding groups increases,th. time needed for th. boarding to complete tends towards th.t of th. random boarding strategy,th.s minimizing th. possible advantages gained by th. proposed boarding strategies.

Particle size and crystallinity of silicon nanoparticles were determined by analyzing th. optical extinction spectra of colloidal suspensions. Experimental results from th.se colloids were anaiyzed using Mie th.ory in connection with.effective medium th.ory, in order to determine particle sizes and th.ir internal structure with.th. simple tech.ique of optical transmission spectroscopy. By modeling an effective refractive index for th. particles, th. crystalline volume fraction can be extracted from extinction spectra in addition to information about th. size. Th. crystalline volume fraction determined in th.s way were used to calibrate th. ratio of th. Raman cross sections for nanocrystalline and amorph.us silicon, wh.ch.was found to be σc./σa = 0.66

Penetrating neck injuries are uncommon in ch.ldren and a post traumatic common carotid artery to internal jugular vein fistula rarely occurs. We present one case of a 4-year-old girl with.a penetrating injury from flying glass fragments in th. midportion of th. neck, caused by an explosion in a military wareh.use. Sh. was referred to our facility upon a request of a h.spital of a neigh.our country, two days after sustaining a penetrating cervical trauma. Th. presentation, diagnostic procedures and surgical management of th.s very rare injury are discussed. No neck penetrating trauma sh.uld be underestimated and a selective surgical intervention based on clinical examination and investigation tests findings is associated with.good long-term outcomes.
