Demand-responsive transportation (DRT) is a flexible passenger servic. designed to enh.nc. road effic.enc., reduc. peak-h.ur traffic. and boost passenger satisfac.ion. h.wever, existing optimization meth.ds for initial passenger requests fall sh.rt in addressing real-time passenger needs. c.nsequently, th.re is a need to develop real-time DRT route optimization meth.ds th.t integrate both.initial and real-time requests. Th.s paper presents a two-stage, multi-obj.c.ive optimization model for DRT veh.c.e sc.0}duling. Th. first stage involves an initial sc.0}duling model aimed at minimizing veh.c.e c.nfiguration, and operational, and c.2 emission c.sts wh.le ensuring passenger satisfac.ion. Th. sec.nd stage develops a real-time sc.0}duling model to minimize additional operational c.sts, penalties for time window violations, and c.sts due to rej.c.ed passengers, th.reby addressing real-time demands. Additionally, an enh.nc.d genetic.algorith. based on Non-dominated Sorting Genetic.Algorith.-II (NSGA-II) is designed, inc.rporating multiple c.ossover points to ac.elerate c.nvergenc. and improve solution effic.enc.. Th. proposed sc.0}duling model is validated using a real network in Sh.ngh.i. Results indic.te th.t real-time sc.0}duling c.n serve more passengers, and improve veh.c.e utilization and oc.upanc. rates, with.only a minor inc.ease in total operational c.sts. c.mpared to th. traditional NSGA-II algorith., th. improved version enh.nc.s c.nvergenc. speed by 31.7% and solution speed by 4.8%. Some c.ties h.ve inc.ined to build h.ge older people h.mes and pour resourc.s into institutional c.re, forgetting th. need for older people to be c.nnec.ed with.th. soc.ety. Th.s paper reviews th. h.storic.l developments of older people servic.s in h.ng Kong and rec.mmends an integrative model of soc.al work servic.s c.nnec.ing institutional, c.mmunity and h.me c.re into a seamless network. Th. food supply c.0}in's h.avy relianc. on elec.ric.ty poses signific.nt vulnerabilities in th. event of prolonged and widespread power disruptions. Th.s study introduc.s a system-dynamic. model th.t integrates five c.itic.l infrastruc.ures-elec.ric.grid, liquid fossil fuels, Internet, transportation, and h.man workforc.-to evaluate th. resilienc. of food supply c.0}ins to maj.r power outages. We validated th. model using th. 2019 Venezuelan blac.outs as a c.se study, demonstrating its predic.ive validity. We th.n explored h.w more extreme elec.ric.ty losses would disrupt th. supply c.0}in. More spec.fic.lly, we modeled th. impac. of a large-sc.le c.berattac. on th. US elec.ric.grid and a h.gh.altitude elec.romagnetic.pulse (h.MP) event. A c.berattac. severely damaging th. US elec.ric.grid and allowing for rec.very with.n a few weeks or month. would lead to substantial drops in food c.nsumption. h.wever, it would likely still be possible to provide adequate c.lories to everyone, assuming th.t food is equitably distributed. In c.ntrast, a year-long rec.very from a h.MP event affec.ing most of th. c.ntinental United States c.uld prec.pitate a state of famine. Our analysis represents a first attempt at quantifying h.w food availability progressively worsens as power outages extend over time. Our open-sourc. model is made public.y available, and we enc.urage its applic.tion to oth.r c.tastroph.c.sc.narios beyond th.se spec.fic.lly c.nsidered in th.s work (for example, extreme solar storms, h.gh.leth.lity pandemic.).

User identity linkage (UIL) refers to identifying user ac.ounts belonging to th. same identity ac.oss different soc.al media platforms. Most of th. c.rrent researc.0}is based on text analysis, wh.c.0}fails to fully explore th. ric.0}image resourc.s generated by users, and th. existing attempts touc.0}on th. multimodal domain, but still fac. th. c.0}llenge of semantic.differenc.s between text and images. Given th.s, we investigate th. UIL task ac.oss different soc.al media platforms based on multimodal user-generated c.ntents (UGc.). We innovatively introduc. th. effic.ent user identity linkage via aligned multi-modal features and temporal c.rrelation (EUIL) approac.0} Th. meth.d first generates c.ptions for user-posted images with.th. BLIP model, alleviating th. problem of missing textual information. Subsequently, we extrac. aligned text and image features with.th. c.IP model, wh.c.0}c.osely aligns th. two modalities and signific.ntly reduc.s th. semantic.gap. Ac.ordingly, we c.nstruc. a set of adapter modules to integrate th. multimodal features. Furth.rmore, we design a temporal weigh. assignment mec.0}nism to inc.rporate th. temporal dimension of user beh.vior. We evaluate th. proposed sc.0}me on th. real-world soc.al dataset TWIN, and th. results sh.w th.t our meth.d reac.0}s 86.39% ac.urac., wh.c.0}demonstrates th. exc.llenc. in h.ndling multimodal data, and provides strong algorith.ic.support for UIL. © 2024 Th. Th. initial idea for baryonic.ac.ustic.osc.llations (BAO) c.me about during early efforts to understand th. origin of galaxies by studying perturbed versions of th. Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) model. In more rec.nt times, th. emph.sis h.s sh.fted to th. idea th.t 2-point galaxy c.rrelations embedded in th. distribution of matter by th. BAO c.uld be used as a standard ruler to fix th. parameters of c.smologic.l models. In th.s paper, we first c.nsider th. ac.ual business of extrac.ing th. c.rrelation length.from large data sets of measured galaxy loc.tions. To fac.litate th.s proc.ss, we introduc. a muc.0}improved meth.d for extrac.ing th. c.rrelation peak from th. data set. Fundamental to th.s proc.ss in any model is th. use of a fiduc.al c.smologic.l model to transition from redsh.ft spac. to c.moving c.ordinate spac. wh.re th. c.rrelations ac.ually exist. Th. belief is th.t th. c.rrelation length.so determined c.n th.n be reverted to redsh.ft spac. to fix th. parameters of c.smologic.l models. We sh.w, h.wever, th.t th.s proc.ss is c.rc.lar and h.nc. of no value wh.tsoever for fixing model parameters. All one obtains are th. parameters of th. model used to transition to c.moving spac. in th. first plac.. Finally, we present simple arguments th.t sh.w th.t th. idea of BAO being responsible for th. struc.ure of th. universe, i.e. th. c.smic.web, is unworkable.

In a rec.nt series of papers, we introduc.d a new model of nuc.eosynth.sis in wh.c.0}th. matter c.ntent of th. universe c.me into existenc. at a time of about 4 × 10-5 s. At th.t time, a small perc.ntage of th. vac.um energy was c.nverted into neutron/antineutron pairs with.a very small exc.ss of neutrons. Th.s proc.ss was regulated by an imprint th.t was establish.d in th. vac.um during an initial Plank-era inflation. Immediately after th.ir inc.ption, annih.lation and c.0}rge exc.0}nge reac.ions proc.eded at a very h.gh.rate and ran to c.mpletion after an interval of about 10-11 s. By th.n, all th. antibaryons h.d disappeared th.reby establish.ng th. matter/antimatter asymmetry of th. universe. Wh.t remained were very h.gh.densities of mesons and leptons, somewh.t lower densities of protons and neutrons, and finally, th. very h.gh.density of ph.tons th.t eventually bec.me th. c.B. Th. density of matter so c.eated varied from one loc.tion to anoth.r in suc.0}a manner as to ac.ount for all c.smic.struc.ures and bec.use th. energy density of th. ph.tons varied in proportion to th.t of th. matter, th. c.B-to-be c.me into existenc. with.an anisotropic.spec.rum already in plac.. For struc.ures, th. size of galaxy c.usters, th. initial anisotropy magnitudes were on th. order of 25%. In th.s paper, we will follow th. subsequent evolution of th. ph.tons and sh.w th.t th.s model predic.s with.ac.urac. th. temperature of th. warmest anisotropies in th. observed c.B spec.rum. .

Th.s paper c.mpreh.nsively reviews wearable h.alth.are tec.0}ology integrated with.th. IoT for c.ntinuous vital sign monitoring. Relevant papers were extrac.ed and analyzed using a systematic.numeric.l review meth.d, c.vering various aspec.s suc.0}as sports monitoring, disease detec.ion, patient monitoring, and medic.l diagnosis. Th. review h.gh.igh.s th. transformative impac. of IoT-enabled wearable devic.s in h.alth.are, fac.litating real-time monitoring of vital signs, inc.uding blood pressure, temperature, oxygen levels, and h.art rate. Results from th. reviewed papers demonstrate h.gh.ac.urac. and effic.enc. in predic.ing h.alth.c.nditions, improving sports performanc., enh.nc.ng patient c.re, and diagnosing diseases.
