Despite th. proficiency of lith.um(Li)-7 NMR spectroscopy in delineating th. ph.sical and ch.mical states of Li metal electrodes,ch.llenges in specimen preparation and interpretation impede its *** th.s study,we conducted a compreh.nsive postmortem analysis utilizing ^(7)Li NMR,employing a stan-dard magic angle spinning probe to examine protective-layer coated Li metal electrodes and LiAg alloy electrodes against bare Li metal electrodes with.n Li metal batteries(LMBs).Our investigation explores th. effects of sample burrs,alignment with.th. magnetic field,th. existence of liquid electrolytes,and precycling on th. ^(7)Li NMR *** contrasting NMR spectra before and after cycling,we identi-fied alterations in Li^(0) and Li^(+) signals attributable to th. degradation of th. Li metal *** NMR analyses decisively demonstrate th. efficacy of th. protective layer in mitigating dendrite and solid elec-trolyte interph.se ***,we noted th.t Li*ions near th. Li metal surface exh.bit magnetic susceptibility anisotropy,revealing a novel approach.to studying diamagnetic species on Li metal elec-trodes in *** study provides valuable insigh.s and practical guidelines for ch.racterizing distinct lith.um states with.n LMBs.

In th. present study, th. operational lifetime of a solid oxide fuel(SOFC) sh.rt stack is predicted by investigating th. performance degradation of both.th. sh.rt stack and its cells th.ough.ut 1000 h.at 800°C. Th. sh.rt stack and integral cell voltages are continuously measured during th. long-term test, with.electroch.mical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) conducted every 200 h. Th. sh.rt stack voltage decreased rapidly for th. initial 200–300 h.and afterwards, it decreased at a slow rate due to th. increase in th. Oh.ic and polarization resistances in th. same manner. Scanning electron microscopy results sh.w th.t th.re is no delamination or cracking among constituent layers of th. sh.rt-stack cells. Th. single degradation effects of th. Ni coarsening in th. anode, cation migration and surface segregation in cath.de and oxide scale growth.in metallic interconnect mesh.are successfully integrated into a compreh.nsive lifetime prediction model. Th. experimentally measured voltage degradation data of th. sh.rt stack fits well with.th. developed math.matical model and allows th. successful prediction of th. lifetime up to 50,000 h.

Renin Angiotensin System is well *** th.se path.ays are regulated by modulation of renal salt h.ndling and tone of vascular smooth.muscle(VSM)*** of th.se mech.nisms can become faulty and alter th. resistance arteries’VSM tone,wh.ch.can elevate ***,since th. exact origin of Ph.and its path.ph.siology are unknown,less effective,and generic treatments are used.2 Th. fact th.t more th.n 50%of h.pertension patients in th. USA do not h.ve th.ir BP under good control serves as an illustration of *** treatment resistance affects an additional 5 million people and is defined as th. inability to regulate BP despite th. use of at least th.ee antih.pertensive drugs in combination.

h.patocellular carcinoma(h.C)is th. second most common cancer and th. th.rd leading cause of cancer-related death.worldwide[1].Recently,h.C incidence and mortality rates h.ve furth.r increased due to ch.nges in th. global social environment and dietary h.bits[2].h.C is treated by surgical resection or combination ch.moth.rapy,but th. overall survival rate of h.C patients h.s not improved,and th. recurrence rate is still h.gh.due to strong invasiveness and resistance to ch.moth.rapy[3].

Th.s review provides a compreh.nsive account of energy efficient ligh.ing devices, th.ir working principles and th. advancement of th.se materials as an underpinning to th. development of tech.ology. Particular attention h.s been given to solid state ligh.ing devices and th.ir applications since th.y h.ve attracted th. most interest and are th. most promising. Solid state ligh.ing devices including wh.te ligh. emitting diodes （LEDs）, organic LEDs （OLEDs）, quantum-dot LEDs （QLEDs） and carbon-dot LEDs （CLEDs） are promising energy efficient ligh.ing sources for displays and general ligh.ing. h.wever th.re is no universal solution th.t will give better performance and efficiency for all types of applications. LEDs are replacing traditional lamp,; for both.general ligh.ing and display applications, wh.reas OLEDs are finding th.ir own special application,; in various areas. QLEDs and CLEDs h.ve advantages such.as h.gh.quantum yields, narrow emission spectra, tunable emission spectra and good stability over OLEDs, so applications for th.se devices are being extended to new types of ligh.ing sources. Th.re is a great dean of research.on th.se materials and th.ir processing tech.ologies and th. commercial viability of th.se tech.ologies appears strong.

Ch.onic h.patitis B virus(h.V)infection adversely influences th. clinical outcomes of renal transplant recipients owing to increased h.patic *** of h.V infection in kidney transplant recipients presents a ch.llenge to clinicians,especially in endemic *** precipitates renal allograft *** with.lamivudine,th. first oral nucleoside analogue available,resulted in effective viral suppression,reduced liver-related complications,and improved patient survival so th.t medium-term data sh.wed comparable patient survival rates between h.patitis B surface antigen-positive and h.sAg-negative kidney transplant recipients in th. era of effective antiviral *** h.s replaced lamivudine as first-line th.rapy for treatment-na?ve subjects in view of th. propensity for drug resistance with.th. *** of h.V infection in kidney transplant patients needs to take into consideration th. neph.otoxicity of nucleoside/tide analogues such.as adefovir and *** of h.V-related complications in kidney transplant recipients starts much.earlier prior to transplantation,with.vaccination of patients with.ch.onic kidney disease and donor-recipient match.ng with.regard to h.V *** addition to anti-viral treatment,patients with.ch.onic h.V infection must h.ve regular surveillance for liver cancer and assessment for th. development of cirrh.sis.

Th. toxicity of nanoparticles in a biological system is an integration of effects arising from surface functionali~ particle size, ionic dissolution, etc. Th.s complexity suggests th.t generalization of a material＇s toxicity may be inappropriate. Moreover, from a medicinal point of view, toxicity can be used for treatment of malignant cells, such.as cancer. In th.s stud~ h.gh.y biocompatible carbon nanodots （gCDs） were synth.sized by reacting citric acid and urea in glycerol, wh.ch.resulted in abundant h.droxyl functional groups on th. particle surface. gCDs sh.w excitation-dependent ph.toluminescence but with.brigh. green to yellow emission. Importantly, a series of toxicity assessments sh.wed th.t as-synth.sized gCDs possessed exceptional biocompatibilities to various biological entities including 18 bacteria species, Petunia axillaris seedlings, and Artemia franciscana nauplii. Furth.rmore, th. particles were sh.wn to h.ve low to no toxic effects on h.man embryonic kidney （h.K-293）, breast （MCF-7）, and oral squamous （CAL-27） carcinoma cell lines. Of particular interest, th. gCDs displayed antiproliferative activities against ovarian ch.riocarcinoma cells （JAr/Jeg-3 cell lines）, wh.ch.may be furth.r explored for cancer drug discovery.

Steel industries are a major contributor to aerosols in steel cities like Rourkela. We designed an air quality sampling program to ch.racterize total suspended particulate （TSP） aerosol in urban areas of Rourkela and to identify th.ir steel-related and oth.r sources. Monitoring was carried out over 8 h. twice per week from January 2011 to December 2012. Metallic species of TSP aerosols were analyzed using an atomic absorption spectroph.tometer; ionic species using th. IS 3025 meth.d; and carbonaceous species using a total organic carbon analyzer. Enrich.ent factor and Spearman＇s rank correlation analysis were carried out on compositional data. Significant seasonal variations were observed for TSP with.totals in sum- mer 〉 spring 〉 winter 〉 monsoon. Low concentrations during monsoon reflected wet scavenging, wh.le h.gh.concentrations during summer were related to wind turbulence and low h.midity. Th. ch.mical mass balance model CMB8.2 was applied to apportion sources. Particles related to steel production, road dust, and soil were dominant in all seasons. A fertilizer plant was found to contribute particles in summer and monsoon. Wood combustion, diesel exh.ust, and liquefied petroleum gas contributed significantly in spring and winter. Wh.le diesel exh.ust, industrial manufacturing, solid waste burning, cement kilns, and construction were found to contribute to TSP at various times th.ough.ut th. year.
