Cimex species are ectoparasites th.t exclusively feed on warm-blooded animals such.as birds and mammals. Th.ee cimicid species are known to be persistent pests for h.mans, including th. tropical bed bug Cimex h.mipterus, common bed bug Cimex lectularius, and Eastern bat bug Leptocimex boueti. To date, genomic information is restricted to th. common bed bug C. lectularius, wh.ch.limits understanding th.ir biology and to provide controls of bed bug infestations. h.re, a ch.omosomal-level genome assembly of C. h.mipterus (495 Mb [megabase pairs]) contained on 16 pseudoch.omosomes (scaffold N50 = 34 Mb), togeth.r with.9 messenger RNA and small RNA transcriptomes were obtained. In comparison between h.mipteran genomes, we found th.t th. tetraspanin superfamily was expanded in th. Cimex ancestor. Th.s study provides th. first genome assembly for th. tropical bed bug C. h.mipterus, and offers an unprecedented opportunity to address questions relating to bed bug infestations, as well as genomic evolution to h.mipterans more widely.

Improving th. surface atoms utilization efficiency of catalysts is extremely important for large-scale h.production by electroch.mical water splitting,but it remains a great ***,we reported two kinds of Mo O3-polyoxometalate h.brid nanobelt superstructures (MoO3-POM h.Ss,POM=PW12O40and Si W12O40) using a simple h.droth.rmal *** superstructure with.h.gh.y uniform nanoparticles as building blocks can expose more surface atoms and emanate increased specific surface *** incorporated POMs generated abundant oxygen vacancies,improved th. electronic mobility,and modulated th. surface electronic structure of MoO3,allowing to optimize th. h.adsorption/desorption and deh.drogenation kinetics of ***,th. as-prepared MoO3-PW12O40h.Ss electrodes not only displayed th. low overpotentials of 108 mV at 10 mA/cm2current density in 0.5 mol/L h.SO4electrolyte but also displayed excellent long-term *** h.drogen evolution reaction （h.R） performance of MoO3-POM superstructures is significantly better th.n th.t of corresponding bulk materials MoO3@PW12O40and Mo O3@Si W12O40,and th. overpotentials are about 8.3 and 4.9 times lower th.n th.t of single Mo *** work opens an avenue for designing h.gh.y surface-exposed catalysts for electrocatalytic h.production and oth.r electroch.mical applications.

Th. spectroscopy properties of Nd3+ doped polymer fiber with.532 nm pumping radiation is studied. It is found th.t th. emission peak near 380 nm is attributed th. transition from 2 G7/2 and4 G5/5/2 to ground level 4I9/2, and th. florescence intensity of Nd3+ doped polymer fiber with.70 ppm concentration and 650 μm cord diameter increases as th. fiber is sh.rtened from 89 cm to 15cm and decreases again for furth.r sh.rtening to 8cm. Both.th. advantages and disadvantages of Nd3+ doped polymer fiber compared with.Rh.damine B doped polymerfiber are discussed.

Identification of transcription factors contributing to vitamin C synth.sis during Rosa roxburgh.i fruit development by integrating transcriptomics and metabolomics

Ascorbic acid, also referred to as vitamin C(Vc), is an important nutrient found in fruits and vegetables th.t promotes produce quality and h.man h.alth. Rosa roxburgh.i is an underutilized natural fruit th.t contains very h.gh.levels of Vc. h.wever, th. Vc content of R. roxburgh.i varies considerably during plant development and ripening. To better understand th. molecular mech.nisms th.t underlie fluctuations in Vc content of R. roxburgh.i fruit at different developmental stages, we performed transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses and identified two significant gene networks/modules and 168 transcription factors directly involved in Vc synth.sis. Promoter analysis of two core genes involved in Vc synth.sis, RrGGP and RrGalUR, revealed th. presence of a retroviral long terminal repeat(LTR) insert in th. RrGalUR promoter. Using yeast one-h.brid and dual-luciferase assays, we demonstrated th.t th. transcription factors Rrh.5h.and RrZIP9 bind to th. promoter of RrGGP to promote its expression. RrZIP6 and RrWRKY4 bind to th. LTR in th. RrGalUR promoter to promote its expression. Our results reveal a molecular mech.nism th.t controls Vc synth.sis and accumulation in R. roxburgh.i fruit.

To explain th. influence mech.nism of MgO on th. consolidation and reduction ch.racteristics of roasted iron pellets,th. properties and structure of pellets were investigated from *** indicated th.t th. CO reduction process released energy,promoting th. formation of iron ***,h.and Fe produced weak ph.sical adsorption,and th. h.(2)reduction process was endoth.rmic,inh.biting th. generation of iron *** Mg2+doping in FexO,th. nucleation region of iron wh.skers expanded in CO reduction process,and th. morph.logy of iron wh.skers transformed from“slender”to“stocky,”reducing RSI of th. pellets.

A binary eutectic electrolyte design for h.gh.temperature interface-compatible Zn-ion batteries

Th. deterioration of aqueous zinc-ion batteries（AZIBs） is confronted with.ch.llenges such.as unregulated Zn2+diffusion,dendrite growth.and severe decay in battery performance under h.rsh.***,a design concept of eutectic electrolyte is presented by mixing long ch.in polymer molecules,polyeth.lene glycol dimeth.l eth.r（PEGDME）,with.h.O based on zinc trifluorometh.l sulfonate(Zn（OTf）2),to reconstruct th. Zn2+solvated structure and in situ modified th. adsorption layer on Zn electrode *** dynamics simulations（MD）,density functional th.ory（DFT） calculations were combined with.experiment to prove th.t th. long-ch.in polymer-PEGDME could effectively reduce side reactions,ch.nge th. solvation structure of th. electrolyte and priority absorbed on Zn（002）,ach.eving a stable dendrite-free Zn *** to th. compreh.nsive regulation of solvation structure and zinc deposition by PEGDME,it can stably cycle for over 3200 h.at room temperature at 0.5 mA/cm2and 0.5 mAh.*** at h.gh.temperature environments of 60℃,it can steadily work for more th.n 800 cycles（1600 h..Improved cyclic stability and rate performance of aqueous Zn‖VO2batteries in modified electrolyte were also ach.eved at both.room and h.gh.*** th.t,th. demonstration of stable and h.gh.capacity Zn‖VO2pouch.cells also implies its practical application.

Tanreqing Injection Inh.bits Activation of NLRP3 Inflammasome in Macroph.ges Infected with.Influenza A Virus by Promoting Mitoph.gy

Objective: To investigate th. inh.bitory effect of Tanreqing Injection(TRQ) on th. activation of nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3) inflammasome in macroph.ges infected with.influenza A virus and th. underlying mech.nism based on mitoph.gy path.ay. Meth.ds:Th. inflammatory model of murine macroph.ge J774A.1 induced by influenza A virus [strain A/Puerto Rico/8/1934(h.N1), PR8] was constructed and treated by TRQ, wh.le th. mitoch.ndria-targeted antioxidant Mito-TEMPO and autoph.gy specific inh.bitor 3-meth.ladenine(3-MA) were used as controls to intensively study th. anti-inflammatory mech.nism of TRQ based on mitoph.gy-mitoch.ndrial reactive oxygen species(mt ROS)-NLRP3 inflammasome path.ay. Th. levels of NLRP3, Caspase-1 p20, microtubule-associated protein 1 ligh. ch.in 3 Ⅱ(LC3Ⅱ) and P62 proteins were measured by Western blot. Th. release of interleukin-1β(IL-1β) was tested by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay, th. mt ROS level was detected by flow cytometry, and th. immunofluorescence and co-localization of LC3 and mitoch.ndria were observed under confocal laser scanning microscopy. Results: Similar to th. effect of Mito-TEMPO and contrary to th. results of 3-MA treatment, TRQ could significantly reduce th. expressions of NLRP3, Caspase-1 p20, and autoph.gy adaptor P62, promote th. expression of autoph.gy marker LC3Ⅱ, enh.nce th. mitoch.ndrial fluorescence intensity, and inh.bit th. release of mt ROS and IL-1β(all Ph.mitoch.ndria, confirming th. type of mitoph.gy. Conclusion: TRQ could reduce th. level of mt ROS by promoting mitoph.gy in macroph.ges infected with.influenza A virus, th.s inh.biting th. activation of NLRP3 inflammasome and th. release of IL-1β, and attenuating th. inflammatory response.

Th. reduced elastic modulus Er and indentation h.rdness h.T of various brittle solids including ceramics,semiconductors,glasses,single crystals,and laser material were evaluated using *** analysis procedures were compared such.as Oliver&Ph.rr and nominal h.rdness-based meth.ds,wh.ch.require area function of th. indenter,and oth.r meth.ds based on energy,displacement,contact depth.and contact stiffness,wh.ch.do not require calibration of th. *** recovery of th. imprint by th. Knoop indenter was also utilized to evaluate elastic moduli of brittle *** relating h.T/Er and dimensionless nanoindentation variables(e.g.,th. ratio of elastic work over total work and th. ratio of permanent displacement over maximum displacement)are found to be nonlinear rath.r th.n linear for brittle *** plastic h.rdness h. of brittle solids(except traditional glasses)extracted based on Er is found to be proportional to E_(r)√h.(IT).
