h.lf-metallic ferromagnetism,mech.nical as well as th.rmoelectric properties for rare earth.based spinels Mgh._(2)Z_(4)(Z=S,Se)were investigated using density functional th.ory(DFT).Structural optimization was done with.Perdew-Burke-Eh.enzorf(PBE)sol-generalized gradient approximation(GGA)to calculate th. lattice constant of both.spinels comparable to experimental *** addition,Born stability criteria and negative formation energy sh.w th.t our studied spinels are also structurally and dynamically stable in th. cubic *** ferromagnetic(FM)state stability,we also calculated th. energy differences among FM,antiferromagnetic(AFM),and non-magnetic(nM)***,Curie temperatures of ferromagnetic ph.ses were also *** used Trans-Blah. improved BeckeJoh.son(TB-mBJ)potential functional for electronics as well as magnetic ch.racteristics,wh.ch.lead to th. consistent explanation of h.lf-metallic ferromagnetism,representing th. wh.le band-occupancy in material with.exact detail of density of states(DOS).Th. stable FM state was examined in spinels due to th. exch.nge splitting of h. cation consisting of p-d h.bridizations compatible with.th. result ach.eved for electronics band structure and ***,spin magnetic moment was explained in terms of anion,cation,and sh.ring ch.rge on studied *** addition,th. calculated th.rmoelectric properties clearly sh.w th.t operation range of th.se systems may be utilized by future experimental works for identifying th. potential applications of th.se systems.

Recently,most wave energy research.h.s targeted sea areas with.h.gh.power density under extreme wave conditions for *** trend often leads to h.gh.r energy costs for wave power ***,many marine areas with.low power density,ch.racterized by wavelet conditions and less destructive forces th.n extreme wave conditions,remain ***,th.s study aimed to propose a wave-activated body model for sea regions with.wavelet *** wave-activated body design process encompassed site selection,parameter determination,geometry design,comparison and performance evaluation using th. AnSYS®AQWA *** results indicated th.t th. proposed device ach.eved th. desired h.ave motion,with.an amplitude range of 1.2 to-2.5 m,validating its potential for deployment in marine regions with.wavelet ***,wh.le th. proposed design is optimized for wavelet conditions,it was found to h.ve potential limitations in extreme wave *** observation emph.sizes th. ch.llenge of formulating a generalized design suitable for both.***,it is pivotal for wave-activated body designs to be customized based on th. specific ocean conditions th.y target,underscoring th. need for specialized designs of wave energy converters th.t consider th. unique wave ch.racteristics of th.ir deployment sites.

In th. present work,tilted global solar irradiance data are presented and analysed,measured for a period of 1 year on th. campus of Bah.ain Polytech.ic,Kingdom of Bah.ain,from both.a fixed ph.tovoltaic panel and a moving one via a two-axis solar *** fixed panel faces south.with.an angle of 26°with.respect to th. h.rizontal,coinciding with.th. local geograph.cal *** second panel is moved by two motors,controlled by a global positioning system and suitable software so th.t th. Sun’s rays are perpendicular to th. panel surface.A pyranometer is installed on each.panel,recording th. tilted global solar irradiance,stored by using a data *** analysis of th. data obtained sh.ws a 33%solar energy gain on an annual basis for th. moving panel(2780 versus 2088 kWh.m^(2) on th. fixed panel).More importantly,in June,wh.n th. energy demand in Bah.ain is elevated due to th. increased residential cooling loads,th. solar energy received by th. moving panel is 54.7%h.gh.r compared with.th.t of th. fixed *** a percentage basis,th. increase in solar energy from th. moving panel is profound in th. early morning and late evening ***,th. reduction in th. solar energy received by th. fixed panel from May to June does not appear in th. moving panel because of th. adjustable orientation of th. *** th. year,th. mean daily solar power varies between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m^(2) for th. fixed panel,and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m^(2) for th. moving *** winter,solar energy fluctuations are elevated due to erratic weath.r conditions th.t present a peak standard deviation of 28%of th. corresponding *** data presented are useful for potential solar investments in Gulf countries.

A new empirical formula for th. astroph.sical S-factor h.s been suggested as a function of th. Coulomb interaction parameter,center of mass energy,and barrier *** 22 fusion reactions with.^(40,48)Ca as projectiles were considered for different targets,leading to compound nuclei with.atomic and mass numbers varying between 40≤Z≤≤Z≤112 and 88≤A≤27888≤A≤278,*** fusion cross-sections h.ve been estimated using th. geometric factor,th. Gamow-Sommerfield factor,and th. empirical formula for th. *** study's findings sh.wed better agreement with.th.se of available experiments wh.n compared to Wong's *** present work leads to a smaller standard deviation value th.n Wong's formula wh.n used to correlate th. experimental data of calcium-induced fusion ***'s formula provides a good approximation of fusion cross-sections wh.n th. center of mass energy is below th. fusion barrier wh.n compared to above th. fusion barrier.

Background: Endoscopic treatment of biliopancreatic path.logy is ch.llenging due to surgically altered anatomy after Wh.pple's pancreaticoduodenectomy. Th.s study aimed to evaluate th. feasibility and safety of single-balloon enteroscopy-assisted endoscopic retrograde ch.langiopancreatograph.(SBE-ERCP) to treat biliopancreatic path.logy in patients with.Wh.pple's pancreaticoduodenectomy surgical variants. Meth.ds: We retrospectively analyzed 106 SBE-ERCP procedures in 46 patients with.Wh.pple's variants. Tech.ical and clinical success rates and adverse events were evaluated. Results: Biliary SBE-ERCP was performed in 34 patients and pancreatic SBE-ERCP in 17, including 5 with.both.indications. From a total of 106 SBE-ERCP procedures, 76 were biliary indication with.tech.ical success rate of 68/76(90%) procedures and clinical success rate of 30/34(88%) patients. Mild adverse event rate was 8/76(11%), with.ut serious adverse events. From a total of 106 SBE-ERCP procedures, 30 were pancreatic indication with.tech.ical success rate of 24/30(80%) procedures( P = 0.194 vs. biliary SBEERCP) and clinical success rate of 11/17(65%) patients( P = 0.016 vs. biliary SBE-ERCP). Mild adverse event rate was 6/30(20%)( P = 0.194 vs. biliary SBE-ERCP), with.ut serious adverse events. After SBE-ERCP failure, endoscopic ultrasound-guided drainage, percutaneous drainage and redo surgery were alternative th.rapeutic options. Conclusions: Biliopancreatic path.logy after Wh.pple's pancreaticoduodenectomy variants can be treated using SBE-ERCP with.ut serious adverse events. Tech.ical and clinical success rates are h.gh.for biliary indications, wh.reas clinical success rate of pancreatic indications is significantly lower. SBE-ERCP can be considered as first-line treatment option in th.s patient group with.surgically altered anatomy.

Th. prevalence of organoph.sph.te pesticides in aquatic environments raises severe concerns on a global ***,an insecticide,is included in a class of organoph.sph.te *** is widely used on agricultural lands to control pests in cotton,fruit,and *** acute toxicity of ch.orpyrifos is still dangerous to all aquatic living *** th. treatment of water contaminated with.ch.orpyrifos is an important *** recent decade h.s witnessed adsorption tech.ology emerging as an advanced organoph.sph.te pesticide wastewater treatment with.great potential and a grand blueprint,in wh.ch.th. specific surface area and active sites of th. adsorbent are considered to be th. two most important ch.racteristics largely impacting th. adsorption *** th.s study,a CS-MgO/Zeolite composite was prepared by th. microbial meth.d as an effective adsorbent for th. removal of ch.orpyrifos from an aqueous *** adsorbent's properties were carefully ch.racterized using Xray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and Fourier-transform infrared *** refinement of experimental conditions,encompassing variations in adsorbent dosage,contact time,and ch.orpyrifos concentration at five discrete levels,was systematically undertaken th.ough.th. utilization of a composite central design rooted in response surface *** solution ph.played a key role in ch.orpyrifos removal,and a ph.of 7.0 was selected according to its h.gh.adsorption *** h.gh.st removal(80.9%)of ch.orpyrifos by CS-MgO/Zeolite was obtained at an optimum ph.of 7,a contact time of 40 min,an adsorbent dosage of 0.4 g/L,and a ch.orpyrifos concentration of 5 mg/L^(-1).Th. adsorption results were h.gh.y fitted with.th. We present a study of capping-barrier layer （CBL） effect on electro-optical properties of box- and sph.rical-sh.ped quantum dots as well as of th. electronic transport of a QDs-array It is sh.wn th.t increasing th. CBL-width.leads to a considerable enh.ncement in th.rd-order optical nonlinear susceptibilities （14 times in th. quadratic electro-optic effect, 31 times for ω = ω0/3 and 14 times for ω = ω0 in th. th.rd h.rmonic generation）. Th. capping-barrier layer th.s can be employed as a degree of freedom in engineering th. electro-optical specifications of quantum-dot-based devices.
