The Landau damping behavior in a cylindrical inhomogeneous warm magnetized plasma waveguide has been *** radial inhomogeneity for different characteristic lengths（L0） with strong spatial dispersion has been taken into *** analyses have been considered for two limits ωce 〈 ωpe and ωce 〉 ωpe. Due to the radial inhomogeneity of the plasma, all essential equations for studying the Landau damping are calculated in the Bessel–Furrier and differential Bessel–Furrier expansions. The dependence of Landau damping on the inhomogeneity, temperature and external magnetic field for electrostatic modes is scrutinized and described in detail through numerical calculations. The associated numerical results are presented and discussed.

This paper investigates the free vibration and transient response of interconnected structures including double curved beams and intermediate straight beams,which are all constructed from functionally graded porous(FGP) materials. The strain potential and kinetic energies of each beam along with the work done by the external force are calculated. Additionally, a higher-order beam element is introduced to derive stiffness and mass matrices, along with the force vector. The curved and straight beams are discretized, and their assembled stiffness, mass matrices, and force vectors, are *** conditions at the joints are used to derive the total matrices of the entire structure. Subsequently, the natural frequencies and transient response of the system are determined. The accuracy of the mathematical model and the self-developed computer program is validated through the comparison of the obtained results with those of the existing literature and commercial software ANSYS, demonstrating excellent ***, a comprehensive study is conducted to investigate the effects of various parameters on the free vibration and transient response of the considered structure.

Cold purification filter cakes generated in the hydrometallurgical processing of Angouran mine zinc concentrate commonly contain significant amounts of Zn, Cd, and Ni ions and thus are valuable resources for metal recovery. In this research, a nickel containing solution that was obtained from sulfuric acid leaching of the filter cake following cadmium and zinc removal was subjected to solvent extraction experiments using 10vol%LIX984N diluted in kerosene. Under optimum experimental conditions （ph 5.3, volume ratio of organic/aqueous （O：A） = 2：1, and contact time -5 min）, more than 97.1% of nickel was extracted. Nickel was stripped from the loaded organic by contacting with a 200 g/L sulfuric acid solution, from which 77.7% of nickel was recovered in a single contact at the optimum conditions （ph 1-1.5, O：A =5：1, and contact time =15 min）.

An AI2O3-TiB2 nanocomposite was success- fully synthesized by the high energy ball milling of A1, B2O3 and TiO2. The structures of the powdered particles formed at different milling times were evaluated by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and transmission electron microscopy （TEM）. Thermo- dynamic calculations showed that the composite formed in two steps via highly exothermic mechanically induced self-sustaining reactions （MSRs）. The composite started to form at milling times of 9-10 h but the reaction was not complete. The remaining starting materials were consumed by increasing the milling time to 15 h. The XRD patterns of the annealed powders showed that aluminum borate is one of the intermediate products and that it is consumed at higher temperatures. heat treatment of the 6-h milled sample at l l00℃ led to a complete formation of the composite. Increasing the milling time to 15 h led to a refining of the crystallite sizes. A nanocomposite powder with a mean crystallite size of 35-40 nm was obtained after milling for 15 h.

TiO2-hydroxyapatite （hA） nanostructured coatings were produced by atmospheric plasma spray method. The effects of starting powder composition and grain size on their mechanical properties were investigated. The microstructure and morphology were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. It is found that the coating with 10% hA has the best mechanical properties. Based on Rietveld refinement method, the mean grain size of the as-received powder （212 nm） extensively decreases to 66.4 nm after 20 h of high-energy ball milling. In spite of grain growth, the deposited coatings maintain their nanostructures with the mean grain size of 112 nm. SEM images show that there is a lower porosity in the coating with a higher hA content. Optical microscopy images show that uniform thickness is obtained for all the coatings.

A process for purifying aqueous solutions containing heavy and toxic metals such as chromium（Cr） has been investigated. One of the extremely harmful pollutants in rivers and seawater is the heavy metal ions due to their direct impacts on human, animals and plants are hexavalent Cr（Ⅵ）. Consequently, highly sensitive sensor to detect Cr is essential. Surface plasmon resonance（SPR） technique has attracted huge research interest in detecting heavy metals specifically. In this study, three types of prism-based SPR sensor, gold（Au）/silver（Ag）, Au/polyaniline（PANI） and Au/titanium dioxide（TiO2） nanostructured films, are investigated as potential sensing material to detect the presence of Cr（Ⅵ） ions in water. The base Au layer with thickness of 48.3 nm is deposited on a glass slide for all sensors. For Au/Ag, Au/PANI nanofibers and Au/TiO2sensor films, the Cr（Ⅵ） concentration is varied from 1 ppm to 15 ppm with sensitivity of 0.270 °ppm-1, 0.082 °ppm-1and 0.039 °ppm-1, respectively. Based on these results, the Au/PANI nanofibers are the most sensitive to Cr（Ⅵ） among the tested sensing materials.

Currently,the vertical drain consolidation problem is solved by numerous analytical solutions,such as time-dependent solutions and linear or parabolic radial drainage in the smear zone,and no artificial intelligence(AI)approach has been ***,in this study,a new hybrid model based on deep neural networks(DNNs),particle swarm optimization(PSO),and genetic algorithms(GAs)is proposed to solve this *** DNN can effectively simulate any sophisticated equation,and the PSO and GA can optimize the selected DNN and improve the performance of the prediction *** the present study,analytical solutions to vertical drains in the literature are incorporated into the DNN–PSO and DNN–GA prediction models with three different radial drainage patterns in the smear zone under timedependent *** verification performed with analytical solutions and measurements from three full-scale embankment tests revealed promising applications of the proposed approach.
