This work reports the growth and characterization of p-AlInN layers doped with Mg by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy(PAMBE).AlInN was grown with an Al molar fraction of 0.80 by metal-modulated epitaxy(MME)with a thickness of 180 nm on Si(111)substrates using AlN as buffer *** substrate temperatures were used to enhance the incorporation of indium atoms into the alloy without clustering,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD).Cathodoluminescence measurements revealed ultraviolet(Uv)range ***,Hall effect measurements indicated a maximum hole mobility of 146 cm^(2)/(v∙s),corresponding to a free hole concentration of 1.23×10^(19)cm^(−3).The samples were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)estimating the alloy composition and extracting the Fermi lev.l by v.lence band ***-doped AlInN layers were studied for use as the electron-blocking layer(EBl)in lED *** varied the Al composition in the EBl from 0.84 to 0.96 molar fraction to assess its theoretical effects on electroluminescence,carrier concentration,and electric field,using SIlvACO *** results from this study highlight the importance and capability of producing high-quality Mg-doped p-AlInN layers through *** simulations suggest that an Al content of 0.86 is optimal for achieving desired outcomes in electroluminescence,carrier concentration,and electric field.

Background:Failure to rescue has been an effective quality metric in congenital heart ***,mor-bidity and mortality depend greatly on non-modifiable individual factors and have a weak correlation with better-quality *** aim to measure the complications,mortality,and risk factors in pediatric patients undergoing congenital heart surgery in a high-complexity institution located in a middle-income country and compare it with other institutions that have conducted a similar ***:A retrospective observational study was conducted in a high-complexity service provider institution,in Cali,*** pediatric patients undergoing any congenital heart surgery between 2019 and 2022 were *** main outcomes ev.luated in the study were complication,mortality,and failure to rescue *** and multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed with mortality as the outcome ***:We ev.luated 308 congenital heart *** the outcomes,201(65%)complications occurred,23(7.5%)patients died,and the FTR of the entire cohort was 11.4%.The presence of a postoperative complication(OR 14.88,CI 3.06–268.37,p=0.009),age(OR 0.79,CI 0.57–0.96,p=0.068),and urgent/emergent surgery(OR 8.14,CI 2.97–28.66,pvariables in predicting ***:Failure to rescue is an effective and comparable quality measure in healthcare institutions and is the major contributor to postoperative mortality in congenital heart *** our higher mortality and complication rate,we obtained a comparable failure to rescue rate to high-income countries’health institutions.

This work describes the use of TiO_(2)nanotubes-based electrodes(TNT)modified with Cu_(2)O nanostructures and gold nanoparticles for the photoelectroreduction of CO_(2)to produce v.lue-added compounds.A thin layer of polydopamine was used as both an adherent agent and an electron transfer mediator,due to itsπ-conjugated electron *** highest production yield was achieved using a TNT@PDA/Nc/Au40%electrode,with Faradaic efficiencies of 47.4%(110.5μM cm^(-2))and 27.8%(50.4μM cm^(-2))for methanol and methane,*** performance of the photoelectrodes was shown to be Cu_(2)O facet-dependent,with cubic structures leading to greater conversion of CO_(2)to methanol(43%)and methane(27%),compared to the octahedral morphology,while a higher percentage of metallic gold on the nanostructured Cu_(2)O surface was mainly important for *** functional theory(DFT)calculations supported these findings,attributing the superior photoelectrocatalytic performance of the TNT@PDA/Nc/Au40%electrode for CH4generation to the formation of an OCH3intermediate bonded to Au *** using isotope-labeling and analysis by gas chromatograph-mass(GC-MS)demonstrated that13CO_(2)was the source for photoelectrocatalytic generation of13CH3OH and13CH313CH2OH.

Objective To ev.luate the chemical composition and effects of Artemisia v.lgaris(Av)hydroalcoholic extract(HEAv)on breast cancer cells(MCF-7 and SKBR-3),chronic myeloid leukemia(K562)and NIH/3T3 *** Phytochemical analysis of HEAv was done by high-performance liquid chromatography-mass(HPlC)*** and cell death studies were performed using trypan blue and Annexin/FITC-7AAD,***-1(Fer-1)and necrostatin-1(Nec-1)were used to assess the mode of HEAv-induced cell death and acetoxymethylester(BAPTA-AM)was used to verify the inv.lvement of cytosolic calcium in this *** calcium measurements were made using *** HEAv decreased the viability of MCF-7,SKBR-3 and K562 cells(Pviability of HEAv-treated K562 cells was reduced compared to HEAv-exposed fibroblasts(Plls with HEAv induced cell death primarily by late apoptosis and necrosis in assays using annexin v-FITC/7-AAD(Pviability of K562 cells treated with HEAv relative to cells exposed to HEAv alone(Pv-induced Ca^(2+)release mainly from lysosomes in K562 cells(Pllular Ca^(2+)chelator,decreased the number of non-viable cells treated with HEAv(Plusions HEAv is cytotoxic and activates several modalities of cell death,which are partially dependent on lysosomal release of Ca^(2+).These effects may be related to artemisinin and caffeoylquinic acids,the main compounds identified in HEAv.

An extension of Shrödinger’s quantization on the space (x, p), where the Hamiltonian approach is needed, is made on the space (x, v) where the Hamiltonian approach is not needed at all. The purpose of this paper is to give a possible extension of the actual formulation of the Quantum Mechanics, and this is achieved through a function K(x, v, t) which takes the place of the Hamiltonian on the Shrödinger’s equation and has units of energy. This approach allows us to include the quantization of classical v.locity depending problems (dissipative) and position depending mass variation problems. Some examples are given.

In this paper, we review historical Maxwell's equation for gravity and recent studies on the lack of curvature of linear dipole gravitational waves. The extended Newton's gravity necessarily has the continuity equation for the conservation of mass, and with the Gauss' equation associated to gravitational time depending field R, bring about a new field W which resembles the magnetic field in Electrodynamics. Although this field has not been found yet, its existence comes from a strong mathematical statement, and it is shown that linear dipole gravitational waves have their origin in extended Newton theory of gravity. This is a direct mathematical consequence of Gauss' law and the continuity equation for the density of mass and current, and as a direct result of this, any accelerated mass will emit mainly dipole gravitational radiation. Then, one concludes that dipole gravitational waves can have its origin on the extended Newton's gravity equations.
