We develop in the weak coupling approximation a quasi-non-Markovian master equation and study the phenomenon of decoherence during the operation of a controlled-not (CNOT) quantum gate in a quantum computer model formed by a linear chain of three nuclear spins system with second neighbor Ising interaction between them. We compare with the behavior of the Markovian counterpart for temperature different from zero (thermalization) and at zero temperature for low and high dissipation rates. At low dissipation there is a very small difference between Markovian and quasi no-Markovian at any temperature which is unlikely to be measured, and at high dissipation there is a difference which is likely to be measured at any temperature.

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the reproductive performance of a new artificial insemination(AI) device specifically designed for gilts(Deep cervical AI, Dp-CAI) by means of which the sperm is deposited deeply in the cervix(8 cm more cranial than in traditional cervical insemination-CAI). New AI techniques have arisen in recent decades in the porcine industry, such as post-cervical artificial insemination(PCAI), which involves depositing the sperm in the body of the uterus [through a catheter(outer tube)-cannula(inner tube)] rather than by CAI. Although the PCAI method has been successfully applied in farm conditions to reduce sperm doses without impairing the reproductive performance, this technique has limitations in gilts mainly because of the difficulty involved in introducing the inner cannula through the cranial part of the cervix. For this reason, the Dp-CAI method described herein may be considered as an alternative to CAI and PCAI methods in ***: Gilts were divided in two experimental groups: 1) Dp-CAI: gilts(n = 1166) inseminated using 1.5 × 109 sperm/45 m l;2) CAI(as a control group): gilts(n = 130) inseminated using 2.5 × 10~9 sperm/85 ml. The Dp-CAI method was successfully applied in 88.90% of the gilts, with no differences detected between gilts with 1 or 2 previous oestrus cycles, although the catheter could be introduced more deeply in 2 oestrus gilts(P length of the insemination device that could not be introduced increased(at the moment of insemination), so the success rate of the Dp-CAI device fell, as did the total number of piglets born. When the reproductive output in CAI and Dp-CAI was compared, none of the parameters analysed [pregnancy and farrowing rates(%), and number of piglets born(total and live)] showed significant ***: The use of the Dp-CAI technique provides a new AI method as an alternative to CAI and PCAI for pigs. This paper analyses the oxidation of ferrous iron via chemical and biological means in a class of Sequential Batch Reactors(SBR-type).For this,a kinetic model for the study of iron oxidation system is proposed,followed by a parametric sensitivity analysis and a bifurcation analysis,which allow selecting the most influential kinetic parameters in order to ensure a suitable prediction capacity of the mathematical *** system consists of two SBR bioreactors,the first being used to produce hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)that is fed to a second reactor where the iron oxidation is carried out by chemical–biological *** predictions were compared with experimental data for the production of H2O2 and for ferrous iron oxidation,finding suitable correlation coefficients(r2 N 0.98)for each state *** bifurcation analysis showed the trajectories of the main variables,such as,biomass,H2O2 and ferrous iron,under the change of the most influential kinetic *** analysis demonstrates the usefulness of the constructed model to predict the kinetic behaviour of the SBR-type process.

Using lindblad approach to study decoherence of quantum systems, we study the decoherence and decay of entangled states, formed by two basic states of a chain of thee qubits. We look on these states for a possible regular dependence on their decay as a function of their energy separation between the basic states under different types of environments. We didn’t find regular or significant dependence on this energy separation for the type of environment considered.

An extension of Shrödinger’s quantization on the space (x, p), where the Hamiltonian approach is needed, is made on the space (x, v) where the Hamiltonian approach is not needed at all. The purpose of this paper is to give a possible extension of the actual formulation of the Quantum Mechanics, and this is achieved through a function K(x, v, t) which takes the place of the Hamiltonian on the Shrödinger’s equation and has units of energy. This approach allows us to include the quantization of classical velocity depending problems (dissipative) and position depending mass variation problems. Some examples are given.

In this paper, we review historical Maxwell's equation for gravity and recent studies on the lack of curvature of linear dipole gravitational waves. The extended Newton's gravity necessarily has the continuity equation for the conservation of mass, and with the Gauss' equation associated to gravitational time depending field R, bring about a new field W which resembles the magnetic field in Electrodynamics. Although this field has not been found yet, its existence comes from a strong mathematical statement, and it is shown that linear dipole gravitational waves have their origin in extended Newton theory of gravity. This is a direct mathematical consequence of Gauss' law and the continuity equation for the density of mass and current, and as a direct result of this, any accelerated mass will emit mainly dipole gravitational radiation. Then, one concludes that dipole gravitational waves can have its origin on the extended Newton's gravity equations.

For explicitly time depending mass density which satisfies a continuity equation, it is shown that Maxwell-like equations for gravitational field follow naturally without any need of General Relativity Theory approximation or related assumptions. As a consequence, it is shown that several features already known in Electrodynamics (Poynting vector, density of energy, tensor stress, and radiation) are totally reproduced for gravitational field.

For a one-dimensional conservative system with position depending mass, one deduces consistently a constant of motion, a lagrangian, and a Hamiltonian for the nonrelativistic case. With these functions, one shows the trajectories on the spaces (x,v) and (x,p) for a linear position depending mass. For the relativistic case, the lagrangian and Hamiltonian cannot be given explicitly in general. However, we study the particular system with constant force and mass linear dependence on the position where the lagrangian can be found explicitly, but the Hamiltonian remains implicit in the constant of motion.

A new approach to radiation reaction for the correction of the linear and circular motion of a charged particle takes into account the emission of electromagnetic radiation due to its acceleration. This new formulation was based on expressing the radiation reaction force in terms of the external force rather than the acceleration of the charge. In this paper, a generalization of the radiation reaction force in terms of the external force approach is formulated for any arbitrary motion of the charged particle. This generalization includes the linear and circular acceleration cases previously investigated.

In the diamond C12 (nuclear spin zero) structure with a linear chain of C13 (nuclear spin one half) atoms is applied to a transverse static field with respect of this linear chain, having a gradient along the linear chain, and it is also applied to an rf-magnetic field in a plane with a component in the direction of the static field. It is shown that one qubit rotation, the Controlled-Not (CNOT), the Controlled-Controlled-NoT (CCNOT) quantum gates, and teleportation algorithm can be implemented on this structure using integer multiples of electromagnetic π-pulses. Therefore, a quantum computer can be constructed in this form.
