The Ginzburg—Landau equation(GLE) can phenomenologically model several important features of non-equilibrium systems including those in fluid *** we show that the linear GLE can be formulated such that it has the same Wentzel—Kramers—Brillouin(WKB) approximation as for the linear global stability problem in open shear *** use the GLE to model the linear global modes of different wakes and find that it can accurately capture the linear growth rate and frequency to first order in the WKB ***,we find that it can also provide the shapes of the direct and adjoint eigenvectors and the regions of maximal structural *** proposed model thus opens up new possibilities for GLE-based control strategies,as well as it makes accurate stability calculations possible even for some computationally intractable open shear flows.

风能发电是应用最广泛、发展最快的新能源。中国陆上风机装机数已达全球总量的四成,由于国内风能资源位置和电力消耗的日益不协调,复杂地势地区的风能利用成为了研究重点。在这项研究中,我们使用大涡模拟方法对平坦地形、二维山脊和三维山丘地形上的风机尾流进行数值模拟。我们发现,不同的地形对风机的尾流特性有重大影响。丘陵地形增加了尾流亏损,并使尾流中心偏移,而这种现象与风机俯仰偏航条件下的尾流偏移类似。我们还发现,当风机在丘陵地带运行时,尾流所产生的湍流也会增加。尾流亏损的增加和湍流的产生将对风电场的发电量和下游风机的空气动力载荷产生重大影响,从而影响风电场的最优布局。因此,我们分析比较了常用的风电场尾流模型对复杂地形下尾流特性的预测效果。

基于Townsend的附着涡假设,附着涡模型概念化的描述了高雷诺数下边界层湍流,将边界层模化成由许多几何自相似的并且附着在壁面上的涡结构叠加成的区域。这些涡的长度尺度与壁面距离成正比,而涡的组群密度与壁面距离成反比。附着涡模型预测了对数区中流向和展向的速度方差在壁面法向的分布呈现出对数线性,而壁面法向的速度方差接近常数。许多高雷诺数下的实验和直接数值模拟已经证实了这些预测。风电场和潮汐电厂中的涡轮机通常在大气边界层和海洋边界层中运行,这些边界层中的雷诺数非常高,大约在106以上,直接数值模拟目前还无法胜任,而实验数据中对于附着涡模型的支持也集中在流向上,缺乏展向和壁面法向的结果。但是,这两个方向的速度方差对于涡轮机尾流的混合过程和蜿蜒形态有这重要的影响。在这次研究中,我们使用大涡模拟的方法去研究高雷诺数边界层中的附着涡模型的应用。模拟结果表明,速度方差在展向和壁面法向的分布与附着涡模型的预测吻合。大气和海洋边界层大涡模拟的结果可以进一步给风电场和潮汐电厂模拟提供可靠的来流条件。

BACKGROUND Since its discovery in Wuhan,China in December of 2019,the novel coronavirus has progressed to become one of the worst pandemics seen in the last 100 ***,there has been an increased interest in the hepatic manifestations of coronavirus disease 19(COVID-19).AIM To describe the demographic and clinical characteristics of COVID-19 positive patients and study the association between transaminitis and all-cause *** This is a descriptive retrospective cohort study of 130 consecutive patients with a positive COVID PCR test admitted between March 16,2020 to May 14,2020 at a tertiary care University-based medical *** Wilcoxon-rank sum test and paired t-test were used for comparing non-parametric and parametric continuous variables respectively and a multivariable logistic regression models to study the association between transaminitis and mortality using SAS version 9.4(SAS Institute,Cary,NC,United States).RESULTS Out of the 130 patients,73(56%)patients were found to have transaminitis and 57(44%)did *** compared to patients without transaminitis,the transaminitis group was found to have a higher median body mass index(30.2 kg/m2 vs 27.3 kg/m2,P=0.04).In the multivariate analysis those with transaminitis were found to have 3.4 times higher odds of dying as compared to those without transaminitis adjusting for gender,the Age-adjusted Charlson Comorbidity Index and admission to the intensive care unit(P=0.03).CONCLUSION Our study showed that transaminitis on admission was associated with severe clinical outcomes such as admission to the intensive care unit,need for mechanical ventilation,and mortality.

A 45-year-old female with known situs inversus totalis presented with left-sided abdominal discomfort. Chest X-ray, abdominal ultrasonography and CT scan confirmed the diagnosis of a gallstone, as well as, situs inversus;Laparoscopic cholecystectomy was safely performed with mirror image of standard 4 ports. Callots triangle dissection was done with epigastric working port by surgeon, but gallbladder fossa dissection was done by surgical assistant from midclavicular port as main working port. Laparoscopic surgeon should be careful for view of reversed relationships and also for existence of other anomalies.

Importance: This post-marketing surveillance study was conducted to evaluate real-world information about the efficacy and safety of oral Tinefcon? tablets (Sphaeranthus indicus based) in plaque psoriasis patients. Materials and Methods: Patients aged at least 18 years and older with clinical diagnosis of plaque psoriasis, were enrolled in this open label, non-comparative, multicenter trial. All eligible subjects received four 700 mg Tinefcon? tablets/day for 12 weeks. The primary outcome measure was percent change in Psoriasis Area Severity Index (PASI) score from baseline to week 12. The secondary outcome measures were Physician Global Assessment (PGA), Nail Psoriasis Severity Index (NAPSI), Psoriatic Arthritis Evaluation and Gene Expression Profiling and Immunohistochemistry. Results: After completion of Tinefcon? treatment at 12 weeks, more than half of subjects (52%) achieved PASI 50 response;PASI 75 response was attained in 68 (23%) subjects and PASI 90 response in 22 (7%) subjects. Five subjects with severe psoriasis achieved PASI 90 without receiving any concomitant medication. Reduction in severity as assessed by PGA was observed in more than half of patients with moderate disease. Histopathological evaluation revealed that epidermal thickness was considerably reduced in 66% of subjects. The expression of inflammatory marker S100A9 protein was(meaningfully reduced in 60% patients with non-significant reduction of Keratin 10 protein expression. Gene expression analysis showed increase down regulation of SERPINB4;PI3 and KRT16 genes after a 12-week treatment period in subjects with higher PASI scores. Conclusion: Oral Tinefcon? tablets showed good efficacy and had a favorable safety profile in plaque psoriasis patients.
