Indentation behavior of a semi-infinite piezoelectric semiconductor under a rigid flat-ended cylindrical indenter

This paper theoretically studies the axisymmetric frictionless indentation of a transversely isotropic piezoelectric semiconductor(PSC)half-space subject to a rigid flatended cylindrical *** contact area and other surface of the PSC half-space are assumed to be electrically *** the Hankel integral transformation,the problem is reduced to the Fredholm integral equation of the second *** equation is solved numerically to obtain the indentation behaviors of the PSC half-space,mainly including the indentation force-depth relation and the electric potential-depth *** results show that the effect of the semiconductor property on the indentation responses is limited within a certain range of variation of the steady carrier *** dependence of indentation behavior on material properties is also analyzed by two different kinds of *** element simulations are conducted to verify the results calculated by the integral equation technique,and good agreement is demonstrated.

Audio-visual keyword transformer for unconstrained sentence-level keyword spotting

As one of the most effective methods to improve the accuracy and robustness of speech tasks,the audio-visual fusion approach has recently been introduced into the field of Keyword Spotting(KWS).However,existing audio-visual keyword spotting models are limited to detecting isolated words,while keyword spotting for unconstrained speech is still a challenging *** this end,an Audio-Visual Keyword Transformer(AVKT)network is proposed to spot keywords in unconstrained video *** authors present a transformer classifier with learnable CLS tokens to extract distinctive keyword features from the variable-length audio and visual *** outputs of audio and visual branches are combined in a decision fusion *** humans can easily notice whether a keyword appears in a sentence or not,our AVKT network can detect whether a video clip with a spoken sentence contains a pre-specified ***,the position of the keyword is localised in the attention map without additional position ***-imental results on the LRS2-KWS dataset and our newly collected PKU-KWS dataset show that the accuracy of AVKT exceeded 99%in clean scenes and 85%in extremely noisy *** code is available at https://***/jialeren/AVKT.

Credit risk prediction for small and medium enterprises(SMEs)has long posed a complex research *** approaches have primarily focused on enterprise-specific variables,but these models often prove inadequate when applied to SMEs with incomplete *** this innovative study,we push the theoretical boundaries by leveraging data from adjacent enterprises to address the issue of data *** strategy involves constructing an intricate network that interconnects enterprises based on shared managerial teams and business *** this network,we propose a novel relational graph attention network(RgAT)algorithm capable of capturing the inherent complexity in its topological *** doing so,our model enhances financial service providers'ability to predict credit risk even in the face of incomplete data from target *** experiments conducted using China's SMEs highlight the predictive proficiency and potential economic benefits of our proposed *** approach offers a comprehensive and nuanced perspective on credit risk while demonstrating the advantages of incorporating network-wide data in credit risk prediction.

Design strategy of porous elastomer substrate and encapsulation forinorganic stretchableelectronics

The emergence of stretchable electronic technology has led to the development of many industries and facilitated many unprecedented applications,owing to its ability to bear var-ious ***,conventional solid elastomer sub-strates and encapsulation can severely restrict the free motion and deformation of patterned interconnects,leading to poten-tial mechanical failures and electrical *** address this issue,we propose a design strategy of porous elastomer substrate and encapsulation to improve the stretchability of serpentine interconnects in island-bridge *** ser-pentine interconnects are fully bonded to the elastomer sub-strate,while segments above circular pores remain suspended,allowing for free deformation and a substantial improvement in elastic stretchability compared to the solid *** pores ensure unimpeded interconnect deformations,and mod-erate porosity provides support while maintaining the initial planar *** to conventional solid configurations,finite element analysis(FEA)demonstrates a substantial enhancement of elastic stretchability(e.g.=9 times without encapsulation and=7 times with encapsulation).Uniaxial cyc-lic loading fatigue experiments validate the enhanced elastic stretchability,indicating the mechanical stability of the porous *** its intrinsic advantages in permeability,the pro-posed strategy has the potential to offer insightful inspiration and novel concepts for advancing the field of stretchable inorganic electronics.

Added value of ratio of cross diameters of the appendix in ultrasound diagnosis of acute appendicitis

BACKgROUND The maximum outer diameter(MOD)of the appendix is an essential parameter for diagnosing acute appendicitis,but there is space for improvement in ultrasound(US)diagnostic *** To investigate whether combining the ratio of the cross diameters(RATIO)of the appendix with MOD of the appendix can enhance the diagnostic performance of acute *** A retrospective study was conducted,and medical records of 233 patients with acute appendicitis and 112 patients with a normal appendix were *** MOD and RATIO of the appendix were calculated and tested for their diagnostic performance of acute appendicitis,both individually and in *** The RATIO for a normal appendix was 1.32±0.16,while for acute appendicitis it was 1.09±*** cut-off value for RATIO was determined to be≤*** area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)for diagnosing acute appendicitis using RATIO≤1.18 and MOD>6 mm was 0.870 and 0.652,*** was a significant difference in AUC between RATIO≤1.18 and MOD>6 mm(Pg the combination of RATIO≤1.18 and MOD>6 mm with MOD>6 mm alone,the combination showed increased specificity,positive predictive value(PPV),and ***,the sensitivity and negative predictive value *** Combining RATIO of the appendix≤1.18 and MOD>6 mm can significantly improve the specificity,PPV,and AUC in the US diagnosis of acute appendicitis.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)has reached epidemic proportions globally in parallel to the rising prevalence of *** its significant burden,there is no approved pharmacotherapy specifically tailored for this *** potential drug candidates for MAFLD have encountered setbacks in clinical trials,due to safety concerns or/and insufficient therapeutic ***,several investigational drugs that mimic the actions of endogenous metabolic hormones,including thyroid hormone receptorβ(THRβ)agonists,fibroblast growth factor 21(FgF21)analogues,and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists(gLP-1RAs),showed promising therapeutic efficacy and excellent safety *** them,resmetirom,a liver-targeted THRβ-selective agonist,has met the primary outcomes in alleviation of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis(MASH),the advanced form of MAFLD,and liver fibrosis in phase-3 clinical *** hormone-based pharmacotherapies not only exhibit varied degrees of therapeutic efficacy in mitigating hepatic steatosis,inflammation and fibrosis,but also improve metabolic ***more,these three hormonal agonists/analogues act in a complementary manner to exert their pharmacological effects,suggesting their combined therapies may yield synergistic therapeutic *** in-depth studies on the intricate interplay among these metabolic hormones are imperative for the development of more efficacious combination therapies,enabling precision management of MAFLD and its associated comorbidities.

The earliest evidence for a microblade adaptation in the remote,high altitude regions of the Tibetan Plateau

Microblade assemblages are among the most common prehistoric archaeological materials found on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)and are thought to indicate large scale migration to and settlement of the *** microblade sites,however,have been systematically excavated,especially in the remotest,highest-elevation regions of the *** timing of the large-scale arrival,spread,and permanent settlement of people on the TP therefore remains *** this paper,we report on a recently excavated site,Locality 3 of the Nwya Devu Site(ND3),located at 4600 meters above sea level(masl),near the shore of Ngoin Lake,on the interior *** analyses reveal a fairly typical microblade technological orientation and two types of microblade cores:wedge-shaped and semi-conical,which are similar to those found throughout North *** Optically Stimulated Luminescence(OSL)dating and AMS^(14)C dating,the age of ND3 ranges from 11 to 10 *** date range indicates ND3 is the oldest microblade site yet recorded in the remote,high-elevation regions of the TP and thus provides important information about when and how hunter-gatherers using microblades began exploiting the higher altitudes of the *** together,studies at ND3 and throughout the TP suggest that a microblade adaptation is associated with the first prolonged human occupation of the plateau and that microblades played a significant role in mediating the risks and facilitating the mobility necessary to permanently inhabit the TP.

明代嘉靖四十五年(1566)刊行的《荔镜记》是由广东潮州和福建泉州两本不同声腔、不同方言写本合编的戏文,其刊本在国内无存,却在英、日的大学图书馆各保存一部孤本。泉州地方戏曲研究社于1985年成立后,先后从海外、中国台湾地区和泉州获得明嘉靖《荔镜记》、万历潮本《荔枝记》以及清顺治、道光、光绪年间刊行的三本泉本《荔枝记》的副本,并一一校订,连同书影,再加上梨园戏艺师口述的《陈三》和20世纪50年代加工提高而获奖的《陈三五娘》剧本,分别合编为《泉州传统戏曲丛书》《明万历荔枝记校读》《荔镜记荔枝记四种》,由中国戏剧出版社出版。笔者从新发现的《荔镜记》潮州写本底本残页,追本溯源,力求澄清版本归属和学术界对《荔镜记》的某些偏颇研判,进一步揭示传统戏曲在传承发展中的曲折历程。
