Identification and functional characterization of chemosensory genes in olfactory and taste organs of Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

The tobacco cutworm Spodoptera litura is one of the most destructive polyphagous crop pests. Olfaction and taste play a crucial role in its host plant selection and sexual communication, but the expression profile of chemosensory genes remains unclear. In this study, we identified 185 chemosensory genes from 7 organs in S. litura by transcriptome sequencing, of which 72 genes were published for the first time, including 27 odorant receptors (ORs), 26 gustatory receptors (GRs), 1 ionotropic receptor (IR), 16 odorant-binding proteins (OBPs), and 2 chemosensory proteins (CSPs). Phylogenetic analyses revealed that ORs, IRs, OBPs, and sensory neuron membrane proteins (SNMPs) were mainly expressed in antennae and sequence-conserved among Noctuidae species. The most differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between sexes were ORs and OBPs, and no DEGs were found in GRs. GR transcripts were enriched in proboscis, and the expression of sugar receptors was the highest. Carbon dioxide receptors, sugar receptor-SliuGR6, and bitter GRs-SlituGR43 and SlituGR66 had higher sequence identities between Noctuidae species. CSPs were broadly expressed in various organs, and SlituCSP13 was a DEG in adult antennae. The functional analysis in the Drosophila OR67d expression system found that SlituOR50, a receptor highly expressed in female antennae, is selectively tuned to farnesyl acetate. The results provide a solid foundation for understanding the molecular mechanisms by which chemosensory genes operate to elicit behavioral responses in polyphagous insects.

Preparation and evaluation of controllable drug delivery system:A light responsive nanosphere based on β-cyclodextrin/mesoporous silica

A novel light responsive nanosphere was constructed,and it was used as a drug carrier to investigate the loading and release properties of the Quercetin(QU).In this paper,mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSN)were used as a substrate,and 3-aminopropyl triethyoxysilane was used as a surface modification agent to introduce—NH_(2),and the azobenzene-4,4’-dicarboxylic acid(AZO)was used as light responsive agent to introduce the group of—N=N—,and thenβ-cyclodextrin(β-CD)was combined with AZO through host-guest interaction to construct light responsive nanoparticles(MSN@β-CD).The structure and properties of the carrier were analyzed by FTIR,BET,XPS,TGA,XRD,SEM and *** vitro drug release studies showed the release rate of QU@MSN@β-CD(dark)was 12.19%within 72 h,but the release rate of QU@MSN@β-CD(light 10 min)was 26.09%,exhibiting a light-responsive *** CCK8 tests demonstrated that MSN@β-CD could significantly decrease the toxicity of ***,the controllable light-responsive drug delivery system has great application prospects.

PARAMETRIZATION OF BALANCED MULTIWAVELET

This paper deals with the parametrization of balanced multiwavelets and different properties associated with them. We introduce the property balancing symmetry and orthogonal properties of multiwavelet and link these properties to the matrix of the lowpass synthesis rnultifilter. Using these new results, we present the parametrization of orthogohal multiwavelets of flip-symmetry with length two and three. This is a direct construction method, making the construction of the balanced multiwavelet as easy as the scalar wavelet.

Molecular Cloning and Expression of Polyphenoloxidase Genes from the Mushroom, Agaricus bisporus

The polyphenoloxidase（PPO） is the key enzyme considered to be responsible for mushroom *** using homology cloning and rapid amplification of cDNA ends（RACE）,two new PPO genes and the corresponding cDNA were identified from the fruit bodies of Agaricus bisporus（AbPPO3 and AbPPO4,GenBank accession ***936494 and GU936493,respectively）.The genomic DNA sequences of AbPPO3 and AbPPO4 are 2 080 and 2 189 bp in length,respectively,encoding putative polypeptides of approximately 66 and 68 *** deduced amino acid sequences show characteristic features of two copper-binding domains conserved in the type III copper proteins including fungal polyphenol *** comparisons indicate that AbPPO3 and AbPPO4 present 55.3% similarity to each other（48% identity）.We also obtained more than 1.5-kb long sequences upstream of the start codon of the AbPPO3 and AbPPO4 and recognized them as their respective putative *** of the two PPO promoter regions show that they contain abundant cis-acting elements which are probably responsible for anaerobic induction,light,wound,stress,and auxin ***-quantitative RT-PCR results indicate that AbPPO3 and AbPPO4 were highly expressed in the mature fruit bodies and up-regulated after 2-d storage of *** results suggest that AbPPO3 and AbPPO4 may play roles in *** browning and pigmentation during development and postharvest storage and the elements in promoters may act as regulatory elements for the inducible expression of AbPPO3 and *** successful cloning and expression analysis of AbPPO3 and AbPPO4 warrant a further investigation on the structure and function of *** PPO which points to the possible targets for genetic manipulation.

Controlling oxygen redox reactions in transition metal oxides offers an attractive route to tune their physical properties;a topotactic structural transformation from their parent phases effectively modifies the electronic state. In this work, infinitelayered SrFeO_(2) thin films were produced from brownmillerite SrFeO_(2.5) via low-temperature hydro-reduction. After the structural transition, their out-of-plane lattice constants dramatically shrank by 12%;tensilely strained samples exhibited metallic character, whereas the compressively strained ones maintained the insulating behavior of their bulk form. According to X-ray linear dichroism results, this strain-mediated electronic anisotropy may be attributed to electron redistribution within degenerated orbitals. This suggests a possible mechanism for the metallic conductivity of infinite-layered SrFeO_(2), giving a hint for understanding emergent quantum phenomena, such as the recently discovered superconductivity in nickelates, and stimulating various applications, including in ionic conductivity and oxygen catalysis.

The corrosion and impact-abrasion-corrosion behaviors of quenching-tempering Fe-Cr martensitic steels for ball mill liner were investigated in the corrosive slurry of a copper mine compared with high manganese *** is found that the corrosion resistance and the protectiveness of the passive film of Fe-Cr martensitic steels became worse when the carbon content *** quenching-tempering Fe-Cr martensitic steel showed better impact-abrasion-corrosion resistance in the corrosive slurry compared with the high manganese steel,especially the alloy steel with the carbon content of 0.3 wt.%.The synergistic effect between mechanics and corrosion has also been analyzed to further reveal the impact-abrasion-corrosion mechanism of the *** damage from pure mechanics accounted for the largest percentage(over 65%)for all steels,demonstrating that mechanical damage played the most important role in the impact-abrasion-corrosion behaviors of the *** impact and cracking resistance of the steel should also be paid special attention during the development of new materials for ball mill liner.

In the decomposition problems, studied by Retch, of quasiconformal self mappings of the unit disc which keep the boundary points fixed, the construction of the first one requires the application of the Hahn-Banach theorem (so it is abstract) and it is only a variational decomposition (a small weight one), and that of the second one avoids the Hahn-Banach theorem and gets rid of the restriction to the variational decomposition. But the success of the second decomposition procedure (the Retch procedure) is guaranteed only when minimal maximal dilatation K(f) is sufficiently small. Therefore, it can not guarantee even a variational decomposition. Huang Xinzhong then proved that the inverse Reich procedure was successful for ally X(f). But the inverse Retch procedure is not so natural as the Retch procedure and the corresponding decomposition can not replace the first one. It is still an open problem whether the Reich procedure is successful for any X(f). The present paper gives an affirmative answer to this problem.

Formation mechanism of surface oxide layer of grain-oriented silicon steel

The surface oxide layer of grain-oriented electrical steels was investigated by scanning electron *** formation mechanism and the influence on the glass film of the surface oxide layer were analyzed by the calculation of thermodynamics and *** surface oxide layer with 2.3μm in thickness is mainly composed of SiO_(2),a small amount of FeO and Fe_(2)SiO_(4).During the formation of surface oxide layer,the restriction factor was the diffusion of O in the oxide *** the initial stage of the decarburization annealing,FeO would be formed on the surface ***_(2) and silicate particles rapidly nucleated,grew and formed a granular oxide layer in the *** the oxidation layer thickens,the nucleation of new particles decreases,and the growth of oxide particles would be dominant.A lamellar oxide layer was formed between the surface oxide layer and the steel matrix,and eventually formed a typical three-layer *** the high temperature annealing,MgO mainly reacted with SiO_(2) and Fe_(2)SiO_(4) in the surface oxide layer to form Mg2SiO_(4) and Fe_(2)SiO_(4) would respond first,thus forming the glass film with average thickness of 4.87μm.

Accurately predicting the solubility of elemental sulfur in sour gas mixtures is a primary *** a current and widely-used model on the solubility of elemental sulfur in sour gas mixtures,Chrastil's association model has a big error in the process of predicting experimental data based on different fitting *** paper combined with experimental data reported by relevant scholars about elemental sulfur solubility in sour gases and selected density,temperature and pressure as three important influential *** to different fitting methods,we can calculate the correlation parameters in Chrastil's *** different solubility formulas can be used to predict the solubility of elemental sulfur in sour gas *** in-depth research and analysis of Chrastil's solubility model from numerical aspects,it's easy to find the irrationality about Chrastil's solubility model and fitting *** in fitting methods,further improvement of the fitting method is proposed and used to predict the solubility of elemental sulfur in sour gas *** calculation results show that some improvements of the predicting precision have been achieved by using the improved fitting method in Chrastil's association model.
