Expressed sequence tag （EST） analysis of the pulp of the red-fleshed mutant ＇Cara Cara＇ navel orange provided a starting point for gene discovery and transcriptome survey during citrus fruit maturation. interpretation of the EST datasets revealed that the mutant pulp transcriptome held a high section of stress responses related genes, such as the type III metallothionein-like gene （6.0%）, heat shock protein （2.8%）, Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase （0.8%）, late embryogenesis abundant protein 5 （0.8%）, etc. 133 transcripts were detected to be differentially expressed between the red mutant and its orange-color wild genotype ＇Washington＇ via digital expression analysis. Among them, genes involved in metabolism, defense/stress and signal transduction were statistical overrepresented. Fifteen transcription factors, composed of NAM, ATAF, and CUC transcription factor （NAC）; myeloblastosis （MYB）; myelocytomatosis （MYC）; basic helix-loop-helix （bHLH）; basic leucine zipper （bZIP） domain members, were also included. The data reflected the distinct expression profile and the unique regulatory module associated with these two genotypes. Eight differently expressed genes analyzed in digital were validated by quantitative real- time polymerase chain reaction. For structural polymorphism, both simple sequence repeats and single nucleotide polymorphisms （SNP） loci were surveyed; dinucleotide presentation revealed a bias toward AG/GA/TC/CT repeats （52.5%）, against GC/CG repeats （0%）. SNPs analysis found that transitions （73%） outnumbered transversions （27%）. Seventeen potential cultivar-specific and 387 heterozygous SNP loci were detected from ＇Cara Cara＇ and ＇Washington＇ EST pool.

Objective： The diagnoses of patients with duodenal protruding lesions are difficult when using conventional examinations such as computed tomography （CT） and conventional endoscope etc. Thus, we investigated the clinical value of endoscopic ultrasonography （PUS） with miniature ultrasonic probes on the diagnosis and treatment of duodenal protruding lesions. Methods： Patients with duodenal protruding lesions who were indicated for PUS were examined by PUS with 12-15 MHz miniature ultrasonic probes and double-cavity electronic endoscope. According to diagnosis of PUS, those patients were indicated for biopsy and treatment received biopsy, endoscopic resection or surgical excision. The postoperative histological results were compared with the preoperative diagnosis of PUS. Those patients without endoscopic resection or surgical excision were periodically followed up with PUS. Results： A total of 169 patients with duodenal protruding lesions were examined by PUS, of which 40 were diagnosed with cysts, 36 with inflammatory protruding or polyp, 25 with Brunner＇s gland adenoma, 19 with ectopic pancreas, 17 with gastrointestinal stromal tumor, 12 with extrinsic compression, 12 with minor papilla, 6 with lipoma, 1 with adenocarcinoma and 1 with lymphoma. After PUS examinations, 75 patients received biopsy, endoscopic resection or surgical excision respectively. The postoperative histological results of 70 patients were completely consistent with the preoperative diagnosis of PUS, with 93.33% diagnostic accuracy. The results of follow-up with PUS indicated that duodenal cyst, Brunner＇s gland adenoma, ectopic pancreas, gastrointestinal stromal tumor and lipoma remained unchanged within 1-3 years. No related complications occurred among all patients that received PUS examinations. Conclusion： PUS is an effective and reliable diagnostic method for duodenal protruding lesions.

Objective:To examine the values of endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) on diagnosis and treatment of esophageal hamartoma. Methods:We compared and analyzed various kinds of imaging examinations such as barium esophagram, con-trast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) and conventional gastroscopy in retrospectively reviewing the clinical data of an esophageal hamartoma patient seen in our clinic in the First Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. Having received various imaging examinations, this patient was finally diagnosed with esophageal hamartoma and underwent gastroscopic resection of hamartoma with the diagnostic information obtained from EUS. The patient had been regularly followed up for 13 months after treatment. Results: Barium esophagram, CT and conventional gastroscopy detected the lesion, but were unable to distinguish it from common esophagopolypus and other submucosal lesions, and unable to determine etiopathogenisis. EUS detected the hamartoma and identified its internal structure, echo, exact size, depth of invasion, origin and the relationship between adjacent tissues and organs, differentiating the lesion from other submucosal tumors and clearly defining the diagnosis. EUS-guided fine needle aspiration (FNA) also helped to identify the etiological diagnosis. Conclusion: EUS was superior to other imaging means in diagnosis and treatment of hamartoma.

BACKGROUND Esophageal bronchogenic cyst(EBC) is a rare congenital disease that is difficult to diagnose preoperatively, and treatment remains *** SUMMARY We report a 53-year-old Chinese woman hospitalized in our hospital following the discovery of a submucosal protruding mass of the esophagus by upper endoscopy. A preliminary diagnosis of EBC was made by endoscopic ultrasonography(EUS), and treatment was accomplished by endoscopic submucosal tunnel dissection(ESTD). The pathological results verified the diagnosis. No scar changes or cystic lesion within the original lesion were found under EUS after a 3-mo *** EUS is valuable for the preliminary diagnosis of EBC and surveillance. ESTD is a safe and effective treatment for EBC. Further evaluation of complications and long-term follow-ups are required.

Endoscopic biopsy only showed nonspecific inflammation. Histological examination of the specimen by endoscopic snare resection showed that the tumor consisted of adipose tissues and blood vessels. We also performed a literature review. After the use of proton pump inhibitor,the fecal occult blood test was negative. Due to the difficulty of resecting multiple lesions in the stomach completely and the benign characteristics of angiolipoma,we chose to have regular upper gastrointestinal endoscopy evaluation of the lesion. No evidence of significant change in lesion size was detected after 3-years *** Gastric angiolipoma is rare,and benign neoplasm should be considered when lesions occur submucosally in the gastrointestinal tract.

Optimized deployment of a radar network based on an improved firefly algorithm

The threats and challenges of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) invasion defense due to rapid UAV development have attracted increased attention recently. One of the important UAV invasion defense methods is radar network detection. To form a tight and reliable radar surveillance network with limited resources, it is essential to investigate optimized radar network deployment. This optimization problem is difficult to solve due to its nonlinear features and strong coupling of multiple constraints. To address these issues, we propose an improved firefly algorithm that employs a neighborhood learning strategy with a feedback mechanism and chaotic local search by elite fireflies to obtain a trade-off between exploration and exploitation abilities. Moreover, a chaotic sequence is used to generate initial firefly positions to improve population diversity. Experiments have been conducted on 12 famous benchmark functions and in a classical radar deployment scenario. Results indicate that our approach achieves much better performance than the classical firefly algorithm(FA) and four recently proposed FA variants.
