Effect of intermetallic compound thickness on anisotropy of Al/Cu honeycomb rods fabricated by hydrostatic extrusion process

The effect of intermetallic compound （IMC） thickness on the thermal and mechanical properties of Al/Cu honeycomb rods was investigated. The Al/Cu honeycomb rods were fabricated using repeated hydrostatic extrusions at 200 ℃. During the process, an IMC layer with 1μm in thickness was generated at the Al/Cu interface. Different IMC thicknesses were obtained by post-heat treatment at 420 ℃ for 0.5 to 2 h. The IMC thickness increased to 10.1μm. The IMC layers were identified as Al2Cu （θ）, AlCu （η2）, and Al4Cu9（γ1） phases. The thermal conductivities in the longitudinal direction and cross direction decreased by 11.9% （（268±4.8） to （236±4.4） W/（m·K）） and 10.4% （（210±3.2） to （188±2.8） W/（m＆#183;K））, respectively, with increasing IMC thickness. The ultimate tensile strength and elongation of the Al/Cu honeycomb rod are （103±8.4） MPa and （73±6.2）%, respectively. The ultimate tensile strength increased to （131±6.5） MPa until the IMC thickness reached 7.7μm. It subsequently decreased to （124±3.9） MPa until the IMC thickness reached 10.1μm. The elongation of the Al/Cu honeycomb rod then sharply decreased to （29±2.5）% with increasing IMC thickness.

Quasi-type II heterostructured nanocrystals(NCs)have been of particular interest due to their great potential for controlling the interplay of charge ***,the lack of material choices for quasi-type II NCs restricts the accessible emission wavelength from red to near-infrared(NIR),which hinders their use in light-emitting applications that demand a wide range of visible ***,we demonstrate a new class of quasi-type II nanoemitters formulated in ZnSe/ZnSe_(1-X)Te_(X)/ZnSe seed/spherical quantum well/shell heterostructures(SQWs)whose emission wavelength ranges from blue to *** a given geometry,ZnSe_(1-X)Te_(X) emissive layers grown between the ZnSe seed and the shell layer are strained to fit into the surrounding media,and thus,the lattice mismatch between ZnSe_(1-X)Te_(X) and ZnSe is effectively *** addition,composition of the ZnSe_(1-X)Te_(X) emissive layer and the dimension of the ZnSe shell layer are engineered to tailor the distribution and energy of electron and hole wave *** from the capabilities to tune the charge carriers on demand and to form defectfree heterojunctions,ZnSe/ZnSe_(1-X)Te_(X)/ZnSe/ZnS NCs show near-unity photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY>90%)in a broad range of emission wavelengths(peak PL from 450nm to 600 nm).Finally,we exemplify dichromatic white NC-based light-emitting diodes(NC-LEDs)employing the mixed layer of blue-and yellow-emitting ZnSe/ZnSe_(1-X)TeX/ZnSe/ZnS SQW NCs.

Clinical innovations are ideations resulting from collective experiences that enhance the “norm” and embrace an avenue for change with an invention. As such, collective data that were suggestive of increased medication errors that compromised patient safety initiated the exploration of methods that could reduce multifactorial human errors. The pursuit for an appropriate system followed with the discovery of barcode medication administration system (BCMA) and electronic medication administration system (e-MAR). Prior to the adoption of BCMA and e-MAR, it was crucial to assess the impact of the new medication administration system and the rate of medication administration errors recorded, specifically those that resulted in harm. The purpose of the study was to evaluate BCMA and e-MAR usage outcomes, clinical practices, policies, and processes impacting nurses administering medications in the clinical environment using BCMA and e-MAR system. Thus, an annotated literature review was conducted prior to the implementation of the innovation which analyzed various studies that elaborated on their study methods, data collection and analysis that deliberated on the advantages and disadvantages of barcode medication administration system. It is evident in the researched journals that increased compliance was observed with appropriate guidance, processes and policies in place. There was also a significant reduction in reported errors. The incorporation of barcode technology with electronic medication administration record (e-MAR) had greatly improved the efficiency of the BCMA system. BCMAs method was one of the proposed solutions to medication administration errors and to enhance patient safety measures. As such, the innovation could significantly reduce medication error resulting from intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Ionizing radiation is one of the most effective tools in cancer therapy. In a previous study, we reported that protein tyrosine kinase (PTK) inhibitors modulate the radiation responses in the human chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) cell line K562. The receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor, genistein, delayed radiation-induced cell death, while non-recepter tyrosine kinase inhibitor, herbimycin A (HMA) enhances radiation-induced apoptosis. In this study, we focused on the modulation of radiation-induced cell death by genistein and performed PCR-select suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH) to understand its molecular mechanism. We identified human thymidine kinase 1 (TK1), which is cell cycle regulatory gene and confirmed expression of TK1 mRNA by Northern blot analysis. Expression of TKl mRNA and TK1 enzymatic activity were parallel in their increase and decrease. TK1 is involved in G1-S phase transition of cell cycle progression. Heating energy performance and part load ratio characteristics of boiler staging in an office building

Commercial buildings account for significant portions of the total building energy in South Korea and thus a variety of research on the boiler operation related to heating energy in office buildings has been carried out thus far. However, most of the researches have been conducted on the boiler itself, i.e., the part load ratio characteristics and the corresponding gas energy consumption patterns are not analyzed in the existing studies. In this study, the part load ratio and the operating characteristics of gas boiler have been analyzed within an office building equipped with the conventional variable air volume system. In addition, the gas consumption among different boiler staging schemes has been comparatively analyzed. As a result, significant portions of total operating hours, heating load and energy consumption has been found to be in a part load ratio range of 0 through 40% and thus energy consumption is significantly affected by boiler efficiency at low part load conditions. This suggests that boiler operation at the part load is an important factor in commercial buildings. In addition, utilizing sequential boiler staging scheme can save a gas usage of about 7%. For annual heating energy saving, applying the sequential control boiler with a 3:7 proportion staging is considered to be the optimal control algorithm for maximum efficiency of boilers.

公共外交是指一国政府通过文化交流、信息项目等形式,了解、获悉情况和影响国外公众,以提高本国国家形象和国际影响力,进而增进本国国家利益的外交方式。公共外交与传统外交不同之处在于,前者以文化和意识形态等“软实力”为手段与外国人进行沟通。传统意义的公共外交是指一国政府与国外民众的外交形式,它的活动手段包括文化交流项目、国际广播和互联网等,其主要表达形式是信息和语言。而在当今日新月异的互联网时代,公众通过互联网等现代信息手段能够更广泛地参与到公共外交活动中来,或者有更多的公众行为具有公共外交效果。特别韩国的公共外交是除了中央政府推进的公共外交,民间也开展了多种形态的公共外交。这篇论文是公共外交理论的基本内容进行介绍,在此基础对韩国公共外交的基本情况进行概述,并阐述电视剧在韩国公共外交中的地位。以电视剧为例,分析韩国对华公共外交的发展演变过程,主要是分为四个阶段,分别是2000年至2005年,2006年至2010年,2011年至2015年,2016年至今。重点梳理每一个阶段韩国对华公共外交存在怎样的特点。探讨为什么会出现发展演变过程,影响韩国对华公共外交发展演变的因素有哪些?政治关系、经济贸易、文化政策等因素都可能会影响到上述的演变过程。因此,论文要分析韩国对中国公共外交的模式和韩国公共外交的特征,以及公共外交的文化交流对两国产生了什么样的影响、潜在的问题是什么、还有公共外交发展的现状和对政治、经济、文化的影响的研究,并对公共外交推进的现状进行了分析,探索其方向发展。通过分析本文认为在对中国韩剧公共外交中,政治关系友好是公共外交开展的前提,经济贸易频繁是公共外交发展的动力,文化政策规范是公共外交持续的力量。

Recent evidence exists that glucose transporter 3（GLUT3） plays an important role in the energy metabolism in the *** previous studies have been conducted using focal or hypoxic ischemia models and have focused on changes in GLUT3 expression based on protein and m RNA levels rather than tissue *** the present study,we observed change in GLUT3 immunoreactivity in the adult gerbil hippocampus at various time points after 5 minutes of transient forebrain *** the sham-operated group,GLUT3 immunoreactivity in the hippocampal CA1 region was weak,in the pyramidal cells of the CA1 region increased in a time-dependent fashion 24 hours after ischemia,and in the hippocampal CA1 region decreased significantly between 2 and 5 days after ischemia,with high level of GLUT3 immunoreactivity observed in the CA1 region 10 days after *** a double immunofluorescence study using GLUT3 and glial-fibrillary acidic protein（GFAP）,we observed strong GLUT3 immunoreactivity in the ***3 immunoreactivity increased after ischemia and peaked 7 days in the dentate gyrus after ischemia/*** a double immunofluorescence study using GLUT3 and doublecortin（DCX）,we observed low level of GLUT3 immunoreactivity in the differentiated neuroblasts of the subgranular zone of the dentate gyrus after ***3 immunoreactivity in the sham-operated group was mainly detected in the subgranular zone of the dentate *** results suggest that the increase in GLUT3 immunoreactivity may be a compensatory mechanism to modulate glucose level in the hippocampal CA1 region and to promote adult neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus.

BACKGROUND Even at present,we are in the middle of the novel coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic and are facing challenges in trial and ***,emergency surgery for patients with suspected COVID-19 is burdensome not only for patients but also for healthcare ***,we established a surveillance system in the emergency room and established principles for managing patients suspected of COVID-19 who require emergency *** SUMMARY A 67-year-old man was diagnosed with appendicitis in March *** wife was diagnosed with COVID-1910 d earlier,and the patient was in close contact with *** patient tested negative twice on an upper respiratory COVID-19 reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction screening test,but chest X-ray and chest computed tomography revealed patchy ground-glass opacity in both upper lobes of the patient’s *** same emergency surgery procedure for patients with confirmed COVID-19 was applied to this patient suspected of having the disease to ensure that surgery was not delayed while waiting for the reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction results.A few hours after surgery,the upper respiratory tract specimen taken in the emergency room was negative for COVID-19 but the lower respiratory tract specimen was found to be positive for the *** When COVID-19 is suspected,emergency surgery should be performed as for confirmed COVID-19 without delay.

Dear Editor,Myeloid differentiation was shown to be associated with reduced leukemic cell burden and leukemia-initiating cells and improved survival[1].Reactive oxygen species(ROS)are associated with leukemia and can induce endoplasmic reticulum(ER)*** stress induces several mechanisms,including cell death[2].The stimulator of interferon genes(STING)is also an ER transmembrane protein and promotes anti-tumor immunity by linking innate and adaptive immunity[3].Signal transducer and activator of transcription 6(STAT6)plays a prominent role in adaptive immunity by transducing signals fromextracellular cytokines and inducing apoptosis in cancer cells[4].
