Effect of Ultrasonication on Optical Properties and Electronic States of Conjugated Polymer MEH-PPV

Poly[2-methoxy-5-（2＇-ethyl-hexyloxy）-1,4-phenylene vinylene]（MEH-PPV）solutions with different concen-trations were prepared in chloroform for different ultrasonication *** ultraviolet absorption and photoluminescence（PL）spectra of the MEH-PPV solutions were measured,and the electronic states of the polymer chains under different experimental conditions were *** results showed that the effects of ultrasonication on the dilute and concentrated solutions were *** ultrasonication,the intensity of the absorption peak at 280 nm significantly decreased,relative to the absorption peak at 500 nm for both dilute and concentrated solutions,indicating that the proportion of the two excited states in the polymer chains had *** dilute MEH-PPV solutions,the blue-shifted absorption（at about 500 nm）and PL spectra show that ultrasonication also led to polymer chain degradation and thus shortened the effective conjugation *** concentrated solutions,however,the peak positions of the absorption spectra remained *** addition,the effects of the solution temperatures on the optical spectra for the MEH-PPV solutions were also discussed.

Chiral alcohols（3, 5） were synthesized in optically pure forms from easily available rosin acid in short-steps. A comprehensive protocol for the enantiomeric excess assays of mono- or di-functional-grouped chiral secondary amine or alcohol has been established with them used as chiral auxiliary for chiral phosphorus derivatizing agents（CPDAs） in 3Jp NMR tests. Chemical shift difference（△δp） values ranging from 4.5 to 0.15 between two dias- tereoisomers of the CPDAs and the aryl substrates were obtained. Positive △δR-S was observed for all the tested alco- hol P（III） and P（V） derivatives, while negative △δR-S was observed for all the amines.

Background: Single-incision laparoscopic surgery has emerged as an alternative to conventional laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC) in the clinical setting. Limited information is available on the possibility of performing single-incision laparoscopic surgery as an ambulatory procedure. This study aimed to determine the feasibility and safety of single-incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy(SILC) versus conventional LC in an ambulatory setting. Methods: Ninety-one patients were randomized to SILC( n = 49) or LC( n = 42). The success rate, operative duration, blood loss, hospital stay, gallbladder perforation, drainage, delayed discharge, readmission, total cost, complications, pain score, vomiting, and cosmetic satisfaction of the two groups were then compared. Results: There were significant differences in the operative time(46.89 ± 10.03 min in SILC vs. 37.24 ± 10.23 min in LC;P 0.05). Conclusions: Ambulatory SILC is safe and feasible for selected patients. The advantages of SILC as compared with LC are improved cosmetic satisfaction and lower total costs.

In order to improve the performance and service life of the Leningrader seal of the Stirling engine piston rod,interference,pre-load and friction coefficient were taken as influencing factors,and the curved surface response method was adopted to reduce the contact stress of sealing surface and von Mises stress of the sealing sleeve as the response index,with the optimization goal of reducing wear and extending *** above three key parameters are analyzed and optimized,the influence of each parameter on the sealing performance and service life is obtained,and the best combination scheme of the three is *** results show that the interaction between pre-tightening force and interference fit has the greatest impact on contact *** interaction between interference fit and friction coeffi-cient has the most significant effect on von Mises *** optimized parameters can reduce the maximum contact stress and maximum von Mises stress of the sealing sleeve by 26.3%and 20.6%,respectively,under a media pressure of 5-9 *** bench verification shows that the leakage of the optimized sealing device in 12 h is reduced by 0.44 cc·min^(-1)(1 cc=1 cm^(3)).The wear rate of the sealing sleeve is 1.08%before optimization and 0.45%after optimization,indicating that the optimized parameters in this paper are effective.
