Based on human perception and machine learning methods,this study proposes a measurable method for evaluating visual comfort in underground ***,a comfort evaluation index based on the characteristics of human visual perception is proposed,and color features and segmentation extraction methods for intelligent methods are ***,using probability statistics and machine learning methods,a multi-class intelligent sorting and classification algorithm for ranking visual comfort levels is constructed and a comparison is made of the suitability of different intelligent methods for evaluating visual *** random forest algorithm is then selected as the most effective measurable intelligent evaluation algorithm for underground ***,the proposed method is compared to intelligent methods employed by previous research,and a case study,the Wujiaochang underground space in Shanghai,China,is applied as the *** show that the proposed method can effectively improve the quantification and refinement of human perception and evaluation of comfort in underground spaces;this method will also be useful in computer-aided generative design in the future.

In this paper, technology margin experiment of hollow cathode fusion arc welding (FAW) and penetrating arc welding (PAW) is presented in detail. The advantages of PAW. compared with FAW, are better weld formation, narrower welds, as well as a larger welding technology margin. Technological experiment and hydraulic test for the Ti alloy pressure vessels with PAW are described. Also, the weld formation control on Ti alloys is preliminarily analyzed. Finally, conclusions are addressed.

Holocene vegetation succession and responses to climate change in the northern sector of Northeast China

Sediment pollen samples from the Huola Basin in the northern sector of northeast China, and surface pollen samples from its environs, were analyzed to reconstruct accurately the historical response of vegetation to climate change since 9100 cal yr BP. Pollen analysis of the Huola Section indicates that vegetation experienced a transformation from early-mid Holocene warm-cold mixed vegetation to late Holocene cold-temperate vegetation. From 9100 to 6000 cal yr BP, the study area was warmer and moister than at present, developing Corylus, Carpinus, Pinus, Picea, Betula and Larix-dominated forests. Two cooling events at 6000–5000 and 3500–2500 cal yr BP led to a decrease in Corylus, Carpinus and other warmth-loving vegetation, whereas cold temperate forests composed of Larix and Betula expanded. After 2500 cal yr BP, Larix and Betula dominated cold-temperate vegetated landscapes. The Holocene warm period in NE China(9100–6000 cal yr BP) suggests that such warming could have resulted in a strengthening of the influence from East Asian Summer Monsoon on northernmost NE China and would have benefited the development of warm-temperate forest vegetation and an improved plant load, which also provides the similarity model for the possible global warming in the future.

WO2 and TiO2 colMds were synthesized by the hydrolysis technique and part of the TiO2 colloid was treated by means of the hydrothermal method. The photochromic performances of the resulting materials obtained via combining the WO3 colloid with the treated TiO2 colloid and the non-treated TiO2 colloid, respectively, are very different. The TiO2 colloid without hydrothermal treatment can effectively improve the photochromic performance of the WO3colloid. The TiO2 nanoparticles were investigated in detail by XRD, TEM, surface photovohage spectra（SPS） and field-induced surface photovoltage spectrometry（FISPS）. The photochromism mechanism of WO3 colloid is discussed.

Objective To investigate the influence of gender on osteoarthritic knee rehabilitation outcome of osteoarthritis patient undergoing total knee arthroplasty(TKA).Methods We prospectively studied thirty male and thirty female knee primary osteoarthritis patients receiving unilateral TKA with posterior stable-fixed plateau prosthesis at our hospital from March 2003 to March *** age and body mass index of male and female patients were *** surgical and rehabilitation clinical factors were compared between two *** There was no significant difference in postoperative hospitalization time,surgical tourniquet time,and wound drainage volume between two groups(P>0.05).The extension/flexion degrees of knee joint before operation,1-week,2-week and 1-year after operation for male patients were 6.0 ± 3.3 degrees/ 114.0 ± 10.0 degrees,2.0 ± 1.6 degrees/93.0 ± 7.4 degrees,0.6 ± 0.6 degrees/104.0 ± 9.9 degrees and 0.3 ± 0.5 degrees/125.0 ± 8.8 degrees,for female patients were 7.0 ± 3.4 degrees/112.0 ± 14.0 degrees,2.0 ± 1.3 degrees/89.0 ± 10.9 degrees,0.9 ± 0.8 degrees/101.0 ± 11.8 degrees,0.4 ± 0.5 degrees/124.0 ± 7.1 *** range of motion before operation,1-week,2-week,and 1-year after operation for male patients was 108.0 ± 9.5 degrees,91.0 ± 7.1 degrees,103.0 ± 9.9 degrees,and 125.0 ± 8.9 degrees,for female patients was 105.0 ± 14.1 degrees,87.0 ± 11.4 degrees,100.0±11.9 degrees,and 124.0 ± 7.0 *** preoperative and 1-year postoperative HSS scores were 55.8 ± 13.3 and 89.6 ± 6.7 for males and 54.5 ± 13.8 and 89.2 ± 4.1 for *** significant statistical difference was observed between two gender groups in regards to degree of extension and flexion,range of motion and HSS score(P>0.05).Conclusions Gender does not influence postoperative knee function of osteoarthritis *** significantly improves knee joint function and relieve osteoarthritis-related pain.

Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, or Chinese skullcap, has been widely used as a medicinal plant in China for thousands of years, where the preparation from its roots is called Huang-Qin. It has been applied in the treatment of diarrhea, dysentery, hypertension, hemorrhaging, insomnia,inflammation and respiratory infections. Flavones such as baicalin, wogonoside and their aglycones baicalein wogonin are the major bioactive compounds extracted from the root of S. baicalensis. These flavones have been reported to have various pharmacological functions, including anti-cancer,hepatoprotection, antibacterial and antiviral, antioxidant,anticonvulsant and neuroprotective effects. In this review,we focus on clinical applications and the pharmacological properties of the medicinal plant and the flavones extracted from it. We also describe biotechnological and metabolic methods that have been used to elucidate the biosynthetic pathways of the bioactive compounds in Scutellaria.

Empirical Likelihood Inference for Functional Coefficient ARCH-M Model

Empirical likelihood inference for parametric and nonparametric parts in functional coefficient ARCH-M models is investigated in this paper. Firstly, the kernel smoothing technique is used to estimate coefficient function δ(x). In this way we obtain an estimated function with parameter β.Secondly, the empirical likelihood method is developed to estimate the parameter β. An estimated empirical log-likelohood ratio is proved to be asymptotically standard chi-squred, and the maximum empirical likelihood estimation(MELE) for β is shown to be asymptotically normal. Finally, based on the MELE of β, the empirical likelihood approach is again applied to reestimate the nonparametric part δ(x). The empirical log-likelohood ratio for δ(x) is proved to be also asymptotically standard chi-squred. Simulation study shows that the proposed method works better than the normal approximation method in terms of average areas of confidence regions for β, and the empirical likelihood confidence belt for δ(x) performs well.
