A review of functions and mechanisms of clay soil conditioners and catalysts in thermal remediation compared to emerging photo-thermal catalysis

High temperatures and providing sufficient time for the thermal desorption of persistent organic pollutants(POPs)from contaminated clay soils can lead to intensive energy ***,this article provides a critical review of the potential additives which can improve soil texture and increase the volatility of POPs,and then discusses their enhanced mechanisms for contributing to a green ***-based additives have been used to reduce plasticity of bentonite clay,absorb water and replenish system *** contrast,non-Ca-based additives have been used to decrease the plasticity of kaolin *** soil structure and soil plasticity can be changed through cation exchange and flocculation *** transitionmetal oxides and alkalimetal oxides can be applied to catalyze and oxidize polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons,petroleum and emerging *** this system,reactive oxygen species(•O_(2)^(-)and•OH)are generated fromthermal excitation without strong chemical ***,multiple active ingredients in recycled solid wastes can be controlled to reduce soil plasticity and enhance thermal ***,the alkali,nano zero-valent iron and nano-TiN can catalyze hydrodechlorination of POPs under reductive ***,photo and photo-thermal catalysis are discussed to accelerate replacement of fossil fuels by renewable energy in thermal remediation.

Satellite edge computing has garnered significant attention from researchers;however,processing a large volume of tasks within multi-node satellite networks still poses considerable *** sharp increase in user demand for latency-sensitive tasks has inevitably led to offloading bottlenecks and insufficient computational capacity on individual satellite edge servers,making it necessary to implement effective task offloading scheduling to enhance user *** this paper,we propose a priority-based task scheduling strategy based on a Software-Defined Network(SDN)framework for satellite-terrestrial integrated networks,which clarifies the execution order of tasks based on their ***,we apply a Dueling-Double Deep Q-Network(DDQN)algorithm enhanced with prioritized experience replay to derive a computation offloading strategy,improving the experience replay mechanism within the Dueling-DDQN ***,we utilize the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient(DDPG)algorithm to determine the optimal resource allocation strategy to reduce the processing latency of *** results demonstrate that the proposed d3-DDPG algorithm outperforms other approaches,effectively reducing task processing latency and thus improving user experience and system efficiency.

Characterization of combined blast-and fragments-induced synergetic damage in polyurea coated liquid-filled container

Liquid-filled containers(LFC)are widely used to store and transport petroleum,chemical reagents,and other *** an important target of military strikes and terrorist bombings,LFC are vulnerable to blast waves and *** explore the protective effect of polyurea elastomer on LFC,the damage characteristics of polyurea coated liquid-filled container(PLFC)under the combined loading of blast shock wave and fragments were studied *** microstructure of the polyurea layer was observed by scanning electron microscopy,and the fracture and self-healing phenomena were *** simulation approach was used to explain the combined blast-and fragments-induced on the PLFC in ***,the effects of shock wave and fragment alone and in combination on the damage of PLFC were comprehensively *** showed that the polyurea reduces the perforation rate of the fragment to the LFC,and the self-healing phenomenon could also reduce the liquid loss rate inside the *** polyurea reduces the degree of depression in the center of the LFC,resulting in a decrease in the distance between adjacent fragments penetrating the LFC,and an increase in the probability of transfixion and fracture between *** the close-in blast,the detonation shock wave reached the LFC before the *** does not all have an enhanced effect on the protection of *** presence of internal water enhances the anti-blast performance of the container,and the hydrodynamic ram(HRAM)formed by the fragment impacting the water aggravated the plastic deformation of the *** combined action has an enhancement effect on the deformation of the *** depth of the container depression was 27%higher than that of the blast shock wave alone;thus,it cannot be simply summarized as linear superposition.

In this paper, the problem of pre-specified performance fault-tolerant cluster consensus control and fault direction identification is solved for the human-in-the-loop(HIL) swarm unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) in the presence of possible nonidentical and unknown direction faults(NUDFs) in the yaw *** control strategy begins with the design of a pre-specified performance event-triggered observer for each individual *** observers estimate the outputs of the human controlled UAVs, and simultaneously achieve the distributed design of actual control signals as well as cluster consensus of the observer *** is worth mentioning that these observers require neither the high-order derivatives of the human controlled UAVs' output nor a priori knowledge of the initial conditions. The fault-tolerant controller realizes the pre-specified performance output regulation through error transformation and the Nussbaum function. It should be pointed out that there are no chattering caused by the jump of the Nussbaum function when a reverse fault occurs. In addition, to provide a basis for further solving the problem of physical malfunctions, a fault direction identification algorithm is proposed to accurately identify whether a reverse fault has occurred. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed control and fault direction identification strategies when the reverse faults occur.

The leaching of sulfuric acid converted product of scheelite in NH_(3)·H_(2)O−NH_(4)HCO_(3)solution was systemically studied to improve sulfuric acid conversion−ammonium salts leaching technology route for ammonium paratungstate *** results showed that the WO_(3)leaching efficiency was about 99%under optimal conditions of 350 r/min,liquid-to-solid ratio of 3 mL/g,1 mol/L NH_(4)HCO_(3),4 mol/L NH_(3)·H_(2)O,25℃,and 15 *** the leaching,CaSO_(4)almost had no change and was still in a banding or rod-like shape in short leaching time,while conglobate CaCO_(3)was gradually formed on the CaSO_(4)surface.A secondary reaction might occur between CaSO_(4)and WO_(4)^(2−),which could be restrained by a certain amount of CO_(3)^(2−)in the *** was no CaCO_(3)phase determined by XRD in leaching residue of converted product for scheelite concentrate under optimal conditions,which was different from that for synthetic *** leaching process could be explained by neutralization reaction of H_(2)WO_(4)and solid transformation of CaSO_(4)in NH_(3)·H_(2)O−NH_(4)HCO_(3)solution.

Nitrogen-doped carbon materials have been widely used for the constructions of single-atom catalysts,while the effect of different species of doped nitrogen on the catalytic activity of CO_(2) electroreduction has rarely been *** we found that pyrrolic-N coordinated Ni2+catalysts display much higher electrocatalytic CO_(2)-to-CO activity and selectivity than the corresponding pyridinic-N coordinated low valent Ni^((0–+2))catalysts,and pyrrolic-N coordinated Ni2 dual-atoms catalyst of Ni2/N-CNTs exhibits the best electrocatalytic performance,with over 90%Faradaic efficiencies in a broad potentials from−0.6 to−1.2 V *** hydrogen electrode,as well as an outstanding CO specific current of 56.2 A/mgNi and high turnover frequency of 6.2×10^(4) h^(−1),over 7-times higher than those of pyridinic-N coordinated Ni *** results indicate the weak electron-donor nature of pyrrolic-N facilitates the generation of a reduced active site at low overpotential for boosting CO_(2) *** functional theory calculations reveal that the reaction free energy for the*COOH formation on pyrrolic-N coordinated Ni catalysts are lower than those on pyridinic-N coordinated Ni catalysts,and a H_(2)Oadsorbed Ni_(2)/N-CNTs displays the optimized reaction free energy for both*COOH formation and CO desorption,which derive the best catalytic performance.

To investigate the associations between isocarbophos and isofenphos with impaired fasting glucose(IFG)and type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),and to assess the mediation roles of inflammation *** were 2701 participants in the case-control study,including 896 patients with T2DM,900 patients with IFG,905 subjects with *** isocarbophos and isofenphos concentrationsweremeasured using gas chromatography and triple quadrupole tandem mass *** linear models were used to calculate the relationships between plasma isofenphos and isocarbophos levels with inflammatory factor levels and *** cell was used as mediators to estimate the mediating effects on the above *** and isofenphos were positively related with T2DM after adjusting for other *** odds ratio(95%confidence interval)(OR(95%CI))for T2DM was 1.041(1.015,1.068)and for IFG was 1.066(1.009,1.127)per unit rise in *** prevalence of T2DM increased by 6.4%for every 1 unit more of ln-isofenphos(OR(95%CI):1.064(1.041,1.087)).Additionally,a 100%rise in ln-isocarbophos was linked to 3.3%higher ln-HOMA2IR and a 0.029 mmol/L higher glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)(95%CI:0.007,0.051).While a 100%rise in ln-isofenphos was linked to increase in ln-HOMA2 and ln-HOMA2IR of 5.8%and 3.4%,***,white blood cell(WBC)and neutrophilic(NE)were found to be mediators in the relationship between isocarbophos and T2DM,and the corresponding proportions were 17.12%and 17.67%,*** and isocarbophos are associated with IFG and T2DM in the rural Chinese population,WBC and NE have a significant role in this relationship.

Efficient and stable photocathodes with versatility are of significance in photoassisted lithium-ion batteries(PLIBs),while there is always a request on fast carrier transport in electrochemical active *** work proposes a general approach of creating bulk heterojunction to boost the carrier mobility of photocathodes by simply laser assisted embedding of plasmonic *** employed in PLIBs,it was found effective for synchronously enhanced photocharge separation and transport in light charging ***,experimental photon spectroscopy,finite difference time domain method simulation and theoretical analyses demonstrate that the improved carrier dynamics are driven by the plasmonic-induced hot electron injection from metal to TiO_(2),as well as the enhanced conductivity in TiO2 matrix due to the formation of oxygen vacancies after Schottky *** from these merits,several benchmark values in performance of TiO2-based photocathode applied in PLIBs are set,including the capacity of 276 mAh g^(−1) at 0.2 A g^(−1) under illumination,photoconversion efficiency of 1.276%at 3 A g^(−1),less capacity and Columbic efficiency loss even through 200 *** results exemplify the potential of the bulk heterojunction strategy in developing highly efficient and stable photoassisted energy storage systems.
