What Can We Learn from the Geoeffectiveness of the Magnetic Cloud on 2012 July 15–17?

An interplanetary shock and a magnetic cloud(MC) reached the Earth on 2012 July 14 and 15 one after *** shock sheath and the MC triggered an intense geomagnetic *** find that only small part of the MC from06:45 UT to 10:05 UT on 2012 July 15 made contribution to the intense geomagnetic storm,while the rest part of the MC made no contribution to the intense geomagnetic *** averaged southward component of interplanetary magnetic field(Bs) and duskward-electric fields(Ey) within the MC from 10:05 UT,2012 July 15 to09:08 UT,2012 July 16(hereafter MC2),are 15.11 nT and 8.01 my m-1,*** to the empirical formula established by Burton et al.(hereafter Burton equation),the geoeffectiveness of MC2 should be-655.42 nT,while the geoeffectiveness of MC2 is-324.68 nT according to the empirical formula established by O’Brien & McPherron(hereafter OM equation).However,the real geoeffectiveness of MC2 is 39.74 *** results indicate that the Burton equation and the OM equation cannot work *** geoeffectiveness of MC2 shows that large and long duration of Bs or Ey cannot guarantee the occurrence of an intense geomagnetic storm if the solar wind dynamic pressure is very *** we use 0.52 as γ,the geoeffectiveness of MC2 is 40.36 nT according to the empirical formula established by Wang et al.,which is very close to the observed value,indicating that the empirical formula established by Wang et *** much better than the Burton equation and the OM equation.

Extreme space weather events caused by super active regions during solar cycles 21-24

Extreme space weather events including≥X5.0 flares,ground level enhancement(GLE)events and super geomagnetic storms(Dst≥-250 nT)caused by super active regions(SARs)during solar cycles 21-24 were *** total number ofX5.0 solar flares was 62,among which 41 were X5.0-X9.9 flares and 21 were≥X10.0 *** found that 83.9%of the≥X5.0 flares were produced by SARs;78.05%of the X5.0-X9.9 and 95.24%of the≥X10.0 solar flares were produced by SARs;46 GLEs were registered during solar cycles 21-24,and 25 GLEs were caused by SARs,indicating that 54.3%of the GLEs were caused by SARs;24 super geomagnetic storms were recorded during solar cycles 21-24,and 12 of them were caused by SARs,namely 50%of the super geomagnetic storms were caused by *** ascertained that only 29 SARs produced≥X5.0 flares,15 SARs generated GLEs and 10 SARs triggered super geomagnetic *** the 51 SARs,only 33 SARs produced at least one extreme space weather event,while none of the other 18 SARs could trigger an extreme space weather *** were only four SARs and each of them generated not only a≥X5.0 flare,but also a GLE event and a super geomagnetic *** of the extreme space weather events caused by the SARs appeared during solar cycles 22 and 23,especially for GLE events and super geomagnetic *** longitudinal distributions of source locations for the extreme space weather events caused by SARs were also studied.

BiFeO3 is a multiferroic material with physical properties very sensitive to its ***3 thin films on silicon substrate are prepared by the sol–gel method combined with layer-by-layer annealing and final annealing schemes.X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy are employed to probe the phase structures and surface *** Rutherford backscattering spectrometry to quantify the nonstoichiometries of BiFeO3 thin films annealed at 100？C–650？*** results indicate that Bi and Fe cations are close to the stoichiometry of BiFeO3,whereas the deficiency of O anions possibly plays a key role in contributing to the leakage current of 10^-5 A/cm^2 in a wide range of applied voltage rather than the ferroelectric polarizations of BiFeO3 thin films annealed at high temperature.

Offload Strategy for Edge Computing in Satellite Networks Based on Software Defined Network

Satellite edge computing has garnered significant attention from researchers;however,processing a large volume of tasks within multi-node satellite networks still poses considerable *** sharp increase in user demand for latency-sensitive tasks has inevitably led to offloading bottlenecks and insufficient computational capacity on individual satellite edge servers,making it necessary to implement effective task offloading scheduling to enhance user *** this paper,we propose a priority-based task scheduling strategy based on a Software-Defined Network(SDN)framework for satellite-terrestrial integrated networks,which clarifies the execution order of tasks based on their ***,we apply a Dueling-Double Deep Q-Network(DDQN)algorithm enhanced with prioritized experience replay to derive a computation offloading strategy,improving the experience replay mechanism within the Dueling-DDQN ***,we utilize the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient(DDPG)algorithm to determine the optimal resource allocation strategy to reduce the processing latency of *** results demonstrate that the proposed d3-DDPG algorithm outperforms other approaches,effectively reducing task processing latency and thus improving user experience and system efficiency.

Systematicly tuning the porosities of porous materials is crucial for targeted gas mixture separation,yet it remains a longstanding *** a common strategy,altering the phenylene ring count in the organic building units has been exploited to adjust pore apertures in metal organic frameworks （MOFs） and covalent organic frameworks （COFs）,resulting in only a stepwise pore size variation of approximately 2.8?.Unlike MOFs and COFs,the porosities for supramolecular assembly frameworks are highly dependent on the packings of the molecular building units in the *** above strategy cannot be applied to supramolecular assembly frameworks and other strategies are required to adjust pore apertures in supramolecular frameworks,especially to achieve porous materials with the optimal pore size for D2/H2separation （～3?）.Here,we successfully modulate the porosity of supramolecular frameworks of[CoII1+12CoIII8L12（μ3-OH）24（X）]1clusters （L=mono-deprotonated 1-iminoisoindole-3-amine,X=ClO?4or Cl?） by controlling the duration of self-assembly *** simply adjusting the reaction time,we obtain three[CoII12CoIII8L12（μ3-OH）24（X）]11+supramolecular frameworks:[CoII12CoIII8（μ3-OH）24（ClO4）L12)]·（Cl）4·（HCO2）7（1）,[CoII12CoIII8L12（μ3-OH）24（Cl）]·（ClOI4）4·（Cl）6·（HCO2）·（H2O）10（2）,and[CoI12CoIII8L12（μ3-OH）24（Cl）]·（Cl）11·（H2O）12（3）.The different stacking patterns of the[CoII12CoIII8L12（μ3-OH）24（X）]11+clusters in these frameworks lead to significantly varied stabilities and *** 1 exhibits permanent porosity with interconnected channels and maintains stability under harsh *** contrast,compound 2 is nearly nonporous,and compound 3 becomes unstable upon *** pores of compound 1 show higher affinity to D2than H2,and the pore aperture diameter of compound 1 （～3.06?） meets the optimal porosity for D2/***,compound 1 demonstrates moderate D2/H2separation at 77 K (retention time:～7 min/g for D2/H2/Ne （10/10/80 vol%） in a flow of 5 mL

Experimental Research on a Feasible Building Insulation Material Based Reed in China

The seemingly useless reeds are prepared as thermal insulation materials,which not only meet the requirements of environmental sustainability but also enhance the added value of reeds,creating new economic *** hydrophobicity of raw biomass surfaces leads to problems such as weak bonding strength and non-dense structure in the formed materials,as well as issues related to the residual insect infestations on the *** this study,reed straw was used as the raw material,and foamed geopolymer was used as the binder to prepare building insulation materials based *** improve the interfacial adhesion performance between reed straw and foamed geopolymer,a thermochemical modification method-thermal carbonization,was *** this study,the mechanical properties and hydraulic properties of the studied materials with different degrees of surface thermal modification were tested,especially the fire resistance performance,and weathering resistance performance rarely found in published *** the surface thermal modification condition of reed straw was 250℃（30 min）,the comprehensive performance of reed-based building insulation materials was the best,when the studied material density was 321.3 kg/m3;the compressive strength was 0.59 MPa;the thermal conductivity was 0.101 W/（m·K）;the pH was 11.27;the moisture absorption rate was 25.1%,and the compressive strength loss rate in wet-dry cycles was 18.5%.In addition,it had excellent fire resistance performance and weathering resistance *** new material can be widely used to improve the thermal insulation of traditional buildings and as sandwich filler in prefabricated buildings,such as preparing insulating walls.

Rational modulation of fluorophosphate cathode by anionic groups to reduce the polarization behavior for fast-charging sodium-ion batteries

Na3V2（PO4）2O2F （VP） is recognized as a promising cathode material for sodium-ion batteries due to its stable structural framework and high specific *** functional theory （DFT） and finite element simulations show that incorporating SO42-into VP decreases its band gap,lowers the migration energy barrier,and ensures a uniform Na+concentration gradient and stress distribution during charge and discharge ***,the average Na+diffusion coefficient of Na3V2（PO4）1.95（SO4）0.05O2F（VPS-1） is roughly double that of VP,leading to enhanced rate capability (80 C,75.5 mAh g-1) and cycling stability (111.0 mAh g-1capacity after 1000 cycles at 10 C current density) for ***-1 exhibits outstanding fast-charging capabilities,achieving an 80%state of charge in just 8.1 *** assembled VPS-1//SbSn/NPC full cell demonstrated stable cycling over 200 cycles at a high 5 C current,maintaining an average coulombic efficiency of 95.35%.

Post-tunable salt gel electrolytes toward flexible supercapacitor switches

Convertible hydrogel supercapacitors have emerged as promising energy storage devices in switches,diodes, and transistors. However, inherent weaknesses in ionic conductivity, mechanical properties,and water retention of hydrogel electrolytes seriously hinder their development. Inspired by the hardness conversion of sea cucumber skin, a conductivity and mechanics dual-tunable salt gel electrolyte is successfully designed. The salt gel presents a reversible switching of conductors-insulators and a mechanical regulation between softness and hardness via the dissolution-crystallization transition of sodium acetate trihydrate（SAT）. Meanwhile, the salt gels spontaneously grow a layer of “armor” through saturated phase-change salt crystals effectively reducing water evaporation of hydrogel ***, this phase-change soft-rigid conversion strategy will expand the capabilities of gel-based flexible supercapacitors(area capacitance: 258.6 mF cm-2), and the capacitance retention rate could still reach 86.9% after 3000 cycles at high temperatures. Moreover, the salt gel supercapacitor is potentially used in over-heat alarm systems. It is anticipated that the strategy of conductivity and mechanics of dual-tunable salt gel would provide a new perspective on the development of energy storage devices,wearable electronics, and flexible robots.

Economic effect of China's carbon neutrality target under shared socioeconomic pathways

Economic feasibility is crucial for achieving the carbon neutrality target. However, current integrated assessments often underestimate the economic impacts of mitigation policies due to the lack of consideration of their economic benefits. This study integrates a warming-labour productivity model with a typical integrated assessment model using shared socioeconomic pathways. It simulates China's economic development and carbon emission levels under both baseline and carbon-neutral policy scenarios, evaluating the economic costs and benefits of emission reduction policies aimed at achieving carbon neutrality. These findings reveal the following:(1) The economic costs of emission reduction policies are projected to peak between 2050 and 2060, ranging from 0.41% to 9.37% of total GDP in the baseline scenario, primarily due to increased energy prices and R&D investments. These costs are expected to decline rapidly after 2070.(2) China's carbon-neutral policies will mitigate global warming, with the economic benefits of mitigation projected to reach 5.65% to 17.24% of China's total GDP by 2100.(3) Lowcarbon scenarios SSP1 and SSP4 could significantly reduce initial economic costs and advance the onset of net economic gains to 2060. This integrated assessment confirms that China's carbon neutrality target offers substantial net economic benefits in the long term. To minimize initial economic costs, efforts should focus on enhancing consumption-side transitions, upgrading lowcarbon technologies, and adopting new energy sources.

Oxidation Resistance of Form-stable Hightemperature Phase Change Thermal Energy Storage Materials Doped by Impregnated Graphite

We adopted the solution impregnation route with aluminum dihydrogen phosphate solution as liquid medium for effective surface modification on graphite *** mass ratio of graphite to Al(H_(2)PO_(4))_(3) changed from 0.5:1 to 4:1,and the impregnation time changed from 1 to 7 *** typical composite phase change thermal storage materials doped with the as-treated graphite were fabricated using form-stable *** investigate the oxidation and anti-oxidation behavior of the impregnated graphite at high temperatures,the samples were put into a muffle furnace for a cyclic heat *** on SEM,EDS,DSC techniques,analyses on the impregnated technique suggested an optimized processing conditions of a 3 h impregnation time with the ratio of graphite:Al(H_(2)PO_(4))_(3) as 1:3 for graphite impregnation *** investigations on high-temperature phase change heat storage materials doped by the treated graphite suggested excellent oxidation resistance and thermal cycling performance.
