Effect of FeSi additive in dual-chamber sample cup on thermal analysis characteristic values and vermiculating rate of compacted graphite iron

Thermal analysis plays a key role in the online inspection of molten iron *** solidification process of molten iron can be reflected by thermal analysis curves,and silicon is one of important elements affecting the solidification of molten *** this study,FeSi75 was added in one chamber of the dual-chamber sample cup,and the influences of FeSi75 additive on the characteristic values of thermal analysis curves and vermiculating rate were *** results show that with the increase of FeSi75,the start temperature of austenite formation TALfirstly decreases and then increases,but the start temperature of eutectic growth TSEF,the lowest eutectic temperature TEU,temperature at maximum eutectic reaction rate TEM,and highest eutectic temperature TERkeep always an *** temperature at final solidification point TEShas little *** FeSi75 additive has different influences on the vermiculating rate of molten iron with different vermiculation,and the vermiculating rate increases for lower vermiculation molten iron while decreases for higher *** to the thermal analysis curves obtained by a dual-chamber sample cup with 0.30wt.%FeSi75 additive in one chamber,the vermiculating rate of molten iron can be evaluated by comparing the characteristic values of these *** time differenceΔtERcorresponding to the highest eutectic temperature TERhas a closer relationship with the vermiculating rate,and a parabolic regression curve between the time differenceΔtERand vermiculating rateηhas been obtained within the range of 65%to 95%,which is suitable for the qualified melt.

Miura folding based charge-excitation triboelectric nanogenerator for portable power supply

Miniaturized mobile electronic devices have aroused great attention due to their convenience to daily life. However, they still face a problem that power supply from the conventional cell needs to be regularly charged or replaced. Portable electricity supply collecting energy from environment is highly desired. Herein, a highly flexible and stretchable Miura folding based triboelectric nanogenerator (MF-TENG) is prepared by using flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as a folding substrate with a double working side design, specifically one side as the main TENG (M-TENG) and other side as the excitation TENG (E-TENG). The E-TENG supplements charge to M-TENG by a half-wave rectifier circuit. This design increases the TENG working area and reduces its volume. The output performance of the TENG based on Miura folding with charge excitation called MF-CE-TENG is greatly boosted. The optimal output charge and maximum peak power of MF-CE-TENG achieves 1.54 µC and 5.17 mW at 1 Hz, respectively, which is 4.61 and 10.55 times as much as that of MF-TENG without charge excitation. To demonstrate its applications, the MF-CE-TENG is used to light up 456 LEDs brightly and charge a 100 µF capacitor to 6.07 V in 5 min. A calculator and a temperature-humidity sensor work normally powered by MF-CE-TENG with an energy management module. This work provides a new strategy to enhance the output energy of Miura folding TENG by applying a charge excitation mode for the first time, which might be an effective approach to be used in other TENGs.

Objective This study aims to investigate the effect ofω-3 fatty acid immunonutritional therapy on natural killer(NK)cell gene methylation and function in elderly patients with gastric *** A total of 70 cases of elderly patients with gastric cancer were randomized into theω-3 fatty acid group and placebo group,according to the type of nutritional support *** methylation status of the tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αgene promoter in peripheral NK cells was detected by methylation specific polymerase chain reaction,and the TNF-αlevel in peripheral NK cells was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** After 14 days of immunonutritional therapy withω-3 fatty acid or placebo,patients in theω-3 group had significantly higher average NK cell activity(0.27 vs.0.24,P=0.013)and lower percentages of TNF-αgene promoter methylation(25.7%vs.60%,Plication ofω-3 fatty acid may improve the activity of NK cells,which is correlated to the methylation status of the TNF-αgene promoter.

Establishment of an Assessment System for the Prediction of Severe Post-operative Complications after Hepatectomy Based on Preoperative Parameters

Objective At present,there is no appropriate system to evaluate the severe complications of liver surgery through the preoperative *** study aimed to design and verify a risk assessment system for the prediction of severe post-operative complications after a hepatectomy based on the preoperative *** A retrospective analysis was performed on 1732 patients who had undergone liver *** severity of the complications was graded by Accordion Severity Grading of post-operative *** variables were screened by multivariate analysis,and graded scores were assigned to the selected variables.A logistic regression equation was used to form the liver operation risk formula(LORF)for the prediction of severe post-operative *** LORF was verified by the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)*** The multivariate correlation analysis revealed the independent influencing factors of the severe post-operative complications of liver surgery were Child-Pugh grade(OR=4.127;Pliver segments to be removed(OR=2.209;P=0.006),organ invasion(OR=4.538;P=0.024),and pathological type(OR=4.023;P=0.002).The binomial logistic regression model was established to obtain the calculation formula(LORF)of the severe complication *** area under the ROC curve(AUC)of the LORF was *** cut-off value of the expected probability of severe complications was 0.3225(32.25%).Furthermore,in the validation data set,the corresponding AUC of the LORF was *** As a novel and simplified assessment system,the LORF could effectively predict the severe post-operative complications of liver surgery through the preoperative factors,and therefore it could be used to evaluate the risk of severe liver surgical complications before surgery.

In the three-dimensional(3D)tumor microenvironment,matrix stiffness is associated with the regulation of tumor cells *** vitro tumor models with appropriate matrix stiffness are urgently ***,we prepare 3D decellularized extracellular matrix(DECM)scaffolds with different stiffness to mimic the microenvironment of human breast tumor tissue,especially the matrix stiffness,components and structure of ***,the effects of matrix stiffness on the drug resistance of human breast cancer cells are explored with these developed scaffolds as case *** results confirm that DECM scaffolds with diverse stiffness can be generated by tumor cells with different lysyl oxidase(LOX)expression levels,while the barely intact structure and major components of the ECM are maintained without *** versatile 3D tumor model with suitable stiffness can be used as a bioengineered tumor scaffold to investigate the role of the microenvironment in tumor progression and to screen drugs prior to clinical use to a certain extent.

Recursive Determination for Effect of Alloying Element on Impurity Induced Low Angle Grain Boundary Embrittlement

The ultra strength alloy steel with high content of Co and Ni is typical tempering martensite steel, and the secondary hardening is accomplished by the precipitation of fine scale alloy carbides with black white contrast until peak hardening. The crystal structure of precipitates was well determined as M 2C with hexagonal by micro beam diffraction. Observing in HREM, M 2C carbides were shown coherent with the ferrite matrix completely and have their own structure.

Effect of the O2/Ar Pressure Ratio on the Microstructure and Surface Morphology of Epi-MgO/IBAD-MgO Templates for GdBa2Cu3O7？δ Coated Conductors

High-quality epi-MgO buffer layers under different O2/Ar pressure ratios are fabricated by rf magnetron sputtering on textured IBAD-MgO templates. Under the total deposition pressure remaining constant （14 Pa）, the effect of changing the ratio of O2/Ar pressure from 1：4 to 3：2 on the microstructure and surface morphology of epi-MgO films is studied. The microstructure and morphology of epi-MgO are fully characterized by x-ray diffraction, atom force microscope and scanning electron microscope. The best texture quality of epi-MgO with an out-plane Δω value of 1.8° and an in-plane Δ？ value of 5.22° are obtained under the ratio of O2/Ar pressure 3：2. Further, the surface morphology indicates that the surface of epi-MgO is smooth with rms surface roughness about 4.7 nm at O2/Ar pressure ratio 3：2. After that, GdBa2Cu3O7？δ （GBCO） layers are deposited on the CeO2 cap layer buffered epi-MgO/IBAD-MgO templates to assess the efficiency of such a buffer layer stack. The critical current density of GBCO films （thickness of 200 nm） is higher than 3 MA/cm2, indicating that epi-MgO/IBAD-MgO is promising for depositing superconducting layers with a higher critical current density.

Modeling of liquid Level and Bubble Behavior in Vacuum Chamber of RH Process

In the Ruhrstahl-Heraeus （RH） refining process, liquid steel flow pattern in a ladle is controlled by the fluid flow behavior in the vacuum chamber. Potassium chloride solution and NaOH solution saturated with CO2 were respectively used as a tracer to investigate the liquid and gas flow behaviors in the vacuum chamber. Principal compo nent and comparative analysis were made to show the factors controlling mixing and circulation flow rate. The liquid level and bubble behavior in the vacuum chamber greatly affect fluid flow in RH process. Experiments were performed to investigate the effects of liquid steel level, gas flow rate, bubble residence time, and gas injection mode on mixing, decarburization, and void fraction. The results indicate that the mixing process can be divided into three regions： the flow rate affected zone, the concentration gradient-affected zone, and their combination. The liquid steel level in the vacuum chamber of 300 mm is a critical point in the decarburization transition. For liquid level lower than 300 mm, liquid steel circulation controls decarburization, while for liquid level higher than 300mm, bubble behavior is the main controlling factor. During the RH process, it is recommended to use the concentrated bubble injection mode for low gas flow rates and the uniform bubble injection mode for high gas flow rates.

Combined Effect of Uniaxial Strain and Magnetic Field on the Exciton States in Semiconducting Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes

The exciton states of semiconducting carbon nanotubes are calculated by a tight-binding model supplemented by Coulomb interactions under the combined effect of uniaxial strain and magnetic field. It is found that the excitation energies and absorption spectra of zigzag tubes（11,0） and（10,0） show opposite trends with the strain under the action of the magnetic field. For the（11,0） tube, the excitation energy decreases with the increasing uniaxial strain, with a splitting appearing in the absorption spectra. For the（10,0） tube, the variation trend firstly increases and then decreases, with a reversal point appearing in the absorption spectra. More interesting,at the reversal point the intensity of optical absorption is the largest because of the degeneracy of the two bands nearest to the Fermi Level, which is expected to be observed in the future experiment. The similar variation trend is also exhibited in the binding energy for the two kinds of semiconducting tubes.
