Modeling of suspended sediment by coupled wave-current model in the Zhujiang(Pearl) River Estuary

A three-dimensional wave-current-sediment coupled numerical model is developed to understand the sediment transport dynamics in the Zhujiang(Pearl)River Estuary(ZRE),*** model results are in good agreement with observed data,and statistics show good model skill *** studies are conducted to assess the scenarios of suspended sediment in the ZRE under the effects of different forcing(river discharges,waves,and winds).The model results indicate that the estuarine gravitational circulation plays an important role in the development of estuarine turbidity maximum in the ZRE,particularly during neap *** increased river discharge can result in a seaward sediment *** suspended sediment concentration(SSC)in the bottom increases with both wave bottom orbital velocity and wave *** of the shallow water depth,the effect of waves on sediment in the west shoal is greater than that in the east *** southwesterly wind-induced wave affects the SSC more than those resulting from the northeasterly wind,while the northeasterly wind-driven circulation has a slightly greater influence on the SSC than that of the southwesterly ***,a steady southwesterly wind condition favors the increase of the SSC in the Lingding Bay more so than a steady northeasterly wind *** the other forcings are same,the averaged SSC under a steady southwesterly wind condition is about 1.1 times that resulting from a steady northeasterly wind.

Design and Experimental Study of Pressure Compensation System for Full-Ocean-Depth Gas-Tight Sediment Sampler

Aiming at the requirement of the full-ocean-depth(operating water depth 11000 m)manned submersible to carry out the gas-tight sampling operation of the abyss seabed sediment,a kind of full-ocean-depth carrier submersible mechanical hand-held,full-ocean-depth gas-tight sediment sampler(GTSS)with the function of pressure-retaining and coring is ***,the volume change model of pressure compensator is established,and it is pointed out that the volume of pressure compensator is about 16.14%equal to the volume of gas-tight sediment sampler(GTSS).Secondly,the pressure compensator is analyzed and calculated,and the relationship between the precharge pressure of the pressure compensator,the nominal volume of the pressure compensator and the pressure holding effect of the gas-tight sediment sampler(GTSS)is *** results show that with the increase of gas precharge pressure in the pressure compensator,the final pressure of the sampler also *** the same precharge pressure condition,the larger the nominal volume of the pressure compensator,the greater the final pressure of the ***,the air tightness test method is designed by using the developed gas tightness sampler of the full-ocean-depth product,and the change of the final pressure in the gas tight sampler under different precharge pressure is *** test results are consistent with the simulation results,indicating the correctness of the pressure compensation system(PCS)model.

Deep-sea sediment is extremely important in marine scientific research,such as that concerning marine geology and microbial *** research findings are closely related to the in-situ information of the *** prerequisite for investigations of deep-sea sediment is providing sampling techniques capable of preventing distortion during *** the fruit of such sampling techniques,samplers designed for obtaining sediment have become indispensable equipment,owing to their low cost,light weight,compactness,easy operation,and high adaptability to sea *** paper introduces the research and application of typical deep-sea sediment ***,a representative sampler recently developed in China is *** this basis,a review and analysis is conducted regarding the key techniques of various deep-sea sediment samplers,including sealing,pressure and temperature retaining,low-disturbance sampling,and no-pressure drop ***,the shortcomings in the key techniques for deep-sea sediment sampling are ***,prospects for the future development of key techniques for deep-sea sediment sampling are proposed,from the perspectives of structural diversification,functional integration,intelligent operation,and high-fidelity *** paper summarizes the existing samplers in the context of the key techniques mentioned above,and can provide reference for the optimized design of samplers and development of key sampling techniques.

Variations of suspended sediment transport caused by changes in shoreline and bathymetry in the Zhujiang(Pearl)River Estuary in the wet season

A wave-current-sediment coupled numerical model is employed to study the responses of suspended sediment transport in the wet season to changes in shoreline and bathymetry in the Zhujiang(Pearl)River Estuary(ZRE)from 1971 to *** is shown that,during the wavy period,the large wave-induced bottom stress enhances sediment resuspension,resulting in an increase in the area of suspended sediment concentration(SSC)greater than 100 mg/L by 183.4%.On one hand,in spring tide,the change in shoreline reduces the area of SSC greater than 100 mg/L by 17.8%in the west shoal(WS)but increases the SSC,owing to the closer sediment source to the offshore and the stronger residual current at the Hengmeng(HEM)and Hongqili(HQL)*** eastward Eulerian transport is enhanced in the WS and west channel(WC),resulting in a higher SSC *** reclamation of Longxue Island(LXI)increases SSC on its east side and east shoal(ES)but decreases the SSC on its west and south ***,in the WC,the estuarine turbidity maximum(ETM)is located near the saltwater wedge and moves southward,which is caused by the southward movement of the maximum longitudinal Eulerian *** neap tide,the changes are similar but relatively *** the other hand,in spring tide,the change in bathymetry makes the SSC in the WS increase,and the area of SSC greater than 100 mg/L increases by 11.4%and expands eastward and southward,which is caused by the increases in wave-induced bottom stress and eastward Eulerian *** the east side of the WC,the eastward Eulerian transport decreases significantly,resulting in a smaller SSC in the middle shoal(MS).In addition,in the WC,the maximum SSC is reduced,which is caused by the smaller wave-induced bottom stress and a significant increase of 109.88%in southward Eulerian *** results in neap tide are similar to those in spring tide but with smaller changes,and the sediment transports northward in the WC owing to the northward Eulerian transport and

POLR2J作为低级别胶质瘤预后标志物的可能性及其作用机制的生物信息学分析

目的通过生物信息学方法分析POLR2J(RNA polymeraseⅡsubunit J,POLR2J)基因的表达水平与低级别胶质瘤(lower-grade glioma,LGG)患者预后之间的关系,并预测其作用机制。方法利用癌症基因组图谱(The Cancer Genome Atlas,TCGA)、基因型组织表达(Genotypic Tissue Expression,GTEX)、中国胶质瘤基因组图谱(Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas,CGGA)、人类蛋白质和图谱(Human Proteins And Atlas,HPA)、临床蛋白质组学肿瘤分析协会(Clinical Proteomics Tumor Analysis Association,CPTAC)、肿瘤免疫单细胞中心(Tumor Immune Single Cell Center,TISCH2)等数据库分析POLR2J在泛癌、泛细胞、单细胞层面的基因表达和蛋白水平,使用免疫印迹分析POLR2J基因在LGG癌细胞系中的表达情况;GSE68848验证POLR2J在LGG中的表达量;使用R语言分析POLR2J与临床指标和生存预后的关系;使用TIP数据库分析POLR2J与肿瘤免疫微环境之间的关系,使用0Metascape进行功能注释分析,应用sparkle数据库分析POLR2J对LGG免疫治疗的预测效果。结果 POLR2J在LGG中高表达,POLR2J的表达量与LGG患者的不良预后正相关,受试者工作特征曲线(receiver operating characteristics curve,ROC)和COX回归分析证明POLR2J是LGG的独立预后因子;POLR2J高表达的LGG患者免疫浸润更复杂,免疫通路的激活程度也更高,也拥有更高的肿瘤突变负荷(tumor mutation burden,TMB)和基因组拷贝数变异;通路富集分析显示,POLR2J高表达的LGG患者的蛋白质代谢、氧化应激、缺氧调控、细胞迁徙等通路被显著激活。POLR2J高表达的LGG患者能够更好地响应免疫治疗。结论 LGG中高表达的POLR2J是患者预后生存的危险因素,其表达与缺氧和免疫浸润密切正相关。

Effect of drying cracks on swelling and self-healing of bentonite-sand blocks used as engineered barriers for radioactive waste disposal

Experiments were conducted to evaluate the healing of drying cracks in air-dried bentonite-sand blocks after hydration and swelling in groundwater,providing justifications to simplify the protection of blocks prior to installation in a high-level radioactive waste *** groundwater was prepared to represent the geochemistry of Beishan groundwater,and was used to hydrate the blocks during the swelling pressure and swelling strain measurements,as Beishan is the most promising site for China's *** of the surface cracks was recorded by photography,and healing of the internal cracks was visualized by CT images and hydraulic conductivity of air-dried *** results indicate that the maximum swelling pressure and swelling strain are primarily affected by the geochemistry of Beishan groundwater,but not affected by the drying *** maximum swelling pressure and swelling strain of air-dried blocks are comparable to or even higher than the pressure and strain of fresh *** maximum swelling pressure measured in strong(*** ion strength)Beishan groundwater was 44%of the pressure measured in deionized(DI)water,and the maximum swelling strain was reduced to 23%of the strain measured in DI ***,the remained swelling of the blocks hydrated in strong Beishan groundwater was sufficient to heal the surface and internal drying cracks,as demonstrated by the pictures of surface cracks and CT *** hydraulic conductivity of the air-dried block permeated with strong groundwater was comparable(3.7×higher)to the hydraulic conductivity of the fresh block,indicating the self-healing of drying cracks after hydration and swelling in groundwater.A simplified method of protecting the block with plastic wraps before installation is recommended,since the remained swelling of the block hydrated in Beishan groundwater is sufficient to heal the drying cracks.

Application of Wavelet Transform Modulus Maxima in Raman Distributed Temperature Sensors

We proposed and demonstrated a wavelet transform modulus maxima （WTMM） de-noising method to decrease the temperature error. In this scheme, the composition scale was determined simply by the WTMM amplitude variation with the growth of the decomposition scale at 30 ℃, and the signal WTMM was obtained by the wavelet decomposition modulus on every decomposition scale based on the modulus propagating difference between the signal and noise. Then, we reconstructed the signal using the signal WTMM. Experimental results show that the proposed method is effective for de-noising, allowing for a temperature error decrease of about 1 ℃ at 40 ℃ and 50℃ comparing to the original data.

以锆英砂、铬铁矿和石英砂为主要原料,制备了满足电炉钢包高合金钢冶炼需求的锆质引流砂,研究了石英砂含量对其组成、结构和性能的影响。结果表明:经高温热处理后,随着石英砂含量增加,试样的线变化率逐渐增大,显气孔率明显减小,体积密度先减小后增大,各试样内各颗粒均为点接触为主,形成了以K_(2)O-Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-FeO为主的低熔相,高温耐压强度略有增大,烧结层厚度增加,促进了引流砂烧结。针对宝钢电炉钢包高合金钢种冶炼(合金量Cr+Ni+Mo≥8%),采用锆质引流砂替代铬质引流砂进行应用,目前已稳定使用9个月(合计210炉次),钢包自动自开率明显改善,由85.0%提高至97.2%。

Development and Application of Carbon-free Al_(2)O_(3)-MgO Dense Bricks for Steel Ladles

Carbon-free Al_(2)O_(3)-MgO dense bricks were produced by the pressing method,using tabular alumina,white fused alumina,alumina micro-powder as main raw materials,and inorganic powder as the *** comprehensive properties and performance in steel ladle side wall were made a comparison between Al_(2)O_(3)-MgO dense bricks and precast *** results show that Al_(2)O_(3)-MgO dense bricks exhibit high dense structure and strength,as well as superior thermal shock resistance and better penetration and corrosion resistance to slag than precast *** replacing precast blocks with dense bricks in 250 t steel ladle side wall in some domestic steel mills,the thickness of the metamorphic layer from slag penetration and the corrosion rate decrease *** damage of dense bricks during service is mainly caused by the corrosion from molten steel and slag,and the structure spalling of the metamorphic layer also plays an important role.
