BACKGROUND Traumatic hip dislocation usually occurs following high-velocity *** is imperative that the dislocation be reduced in a timely manner,especially in a closed manner,as an orthopedic ***,closed reduction can hardly be achieved in patients who also have ipsilateral lower extremity ***,we focus on hip dislocation associated with ipsilateral lower extremity fractures,excluding intracapsular fractures(femoral head and neck fractures),present an early closed hip joint reduction method for this injury pattern,and review the literature to discuss the appropriate closed reduction technique for this rare injury *** SUMMARY We report a case of a 37-year-old male who sustained a left acetabular posterior wall fracture,an ipsilateral comminuted subtrochanteric fracture and dislocation of the *** hip dislocation was reduced urgently in a closed manner using the joy-stick technique with a T-shaped Schanz *** fractures were reduced and fixed as a 2nd-stage surgery *** the 17-month postoperative follow-up,the patient had full range of motion of the affected *** Closed reduction of a hip dislocation associated with ipsilateral lower extremity fractures is rarely achieved by regular *** at closed reduction,by means of indirectly controlling the proximal fracture fragment or reconstructing the femoral leverage rapidly with the aid of various external reduction apparatuses,were shown to be effective in some *** open reduction is indicated in cases of failed closed reduction,particularly in irreducible dislocations.

The utilization of iron coke provides a green pathway for low-carbon *** uncover the influence mechanism of iron ore on the behavior and kinetics of iron coke gasification,the effect of iron ore on the microstructure of iron coke was ***,a comparative study of the gasification reactions between iron coke and coke was conducted through non-isothermal thermogravimetric *** findings indicate that compared to coke,iron coke exhibits an augmentation in micropores and specific surface area,and the micropores further extend and *** provides more adsorption sites for CO_(2) molecules during the gasification process,resulting in a reduction in the initial gasification temperature of iron *** the heating rate in non-isothermal gasification can enhance the reactivity of iron *** metallic iron reduced from iron ore is embedded in the carbon matrix,reducing the orderliness of the carbon structure,which is primarily responsible for the heightened reactivity of the carbon *** kinetic study indicates that the random pore model can effectively represent the gasification process of iron coke due to its rich pore ***,as the proportion of iron ore increases,the activation energy for the carbon gasification gradually decreases,from 246.2 kJ/mol for coke to 192.5 kJ/mol for iron coke 15wt%.

Objective:Appraisal of treatment outcomes in integrative medicine is a challenge due to a gap between the concepts of Western medicine(WM)disease and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)*** study presents an approach for the appraisal of integrative medicine that is based on targeted *** use non-alcoholic fatty liver disease with spleen deficiency syndrome as a test ***:A patient-reported outcome(PRO)scale was developed based on literature review,Delphi consensus survey,and reliability and validity test,to quantitatively evaluate spleen deficiency ***,a metabonomic foundation for the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease with spleen deficiency syndrome was identified via a longitudinal interventional trial and targeted ***,an integrated appraisal model was established by identifying metabolites that responded in the treatment of WM disease and TCM syndrome as positive outcomes and using other aspects of the metabonomic foundation as independent ***:Ten symptoms and signs were included in the spleen deficiency PRO *** internal reliability,content validity,discriminative validity and structural validity of the scale were all *** on treatment responses to treatments for WM disease(homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance)or TCM syndrome(spleen deficiency PRO scale score)from a previous randomized controlled trial,two cohorts comprised of 30 participants each were established for targeted metabolomics ***-five metabolites were found to be involved in successful treatment outcomes to both WM and TCM,following quantitative comparison and multivariate ***,the model of the integrated appraisal system was exploratively established using binary logistic regression;it included 9 core metabolites and had the prediction probability of 83.3%.Conclusion:This study presented a new and comprehensive research route for integrative appraisal of treatment

Objective: To identify the differentially expressed microRNAs (miRNAs) profiles of yang and yin syndromes in patients with acute ischemic stroke, and to provide the molecular basis of the classification of these two syndrome types in acute ischemic stroke patients. Methods: A microarray assay was performed to assess the expression pattern of miRNAs in the lymphocyte of acute ischemic stroke patients. Target genes for the deregulated miRNAs were predicated using the online bioinformatic algorithms and functional annotation via Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes pathway analysis for miRNAs predicted targets was carried out. Based on the predicted target genes of differentially expressed miRNAs, the miRNA-gene-network and miRNA-pathway network were constructed. Results: Yang score based on tongue texture, urine, dejecta, and appearance, etc. showed that clinical symptoms were distinct between yang and yin syndromes. There were significantly higher total leukocyte number and lower total protein level in patients with yang syndrome compared with those in patients with yin syndrome (P<0.05). Comprehensive miRNA analysis identified 36 unique down-regulated miRNAs in yang syndrome group, and 20 unique down-regulated and 2 unique up-regulated miRNAs in yin syndrome group. The key regulatory miRNAs, gene, and pathways in the yang syndrome were hsa-miR-93-5p and -320b, enabled homolog, the metabolic pathways and mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathways, respectively, while those in the yin syndrome were hsa-miR-424-5p and -106b-5p, CNOT4, hepatitis B and pathways in cancer, respectively. Conclusion: These results offered insight into the molecular basis underlying the different pathogenesis of yang or yin syndrome, providing clues for the individualized therapeutic strategies of acute ischemic stroke.

A LiFeP04-type lithium secondary battery cell of 8 Ah capacity with a high energy density and power density was developed for hybrid electric vehicle(HEV)applications by optimizing the key raw materials and process *** 8 Ah class LiFePO_(4)cell with an energy density of 77.2 Wh·kg^(-1)exhibits a power density of 2818 W·kg^(-1)at 50%SOC(state of charge).The battery shows good cyclic capability with the capacity retention of 81.1%after 1,870 cycles at 5 C charge and 10 C discharge *** is demonstrated that the cells have an excellent balance of high-power,high-energy,low temperature,and long-life performance for meeting the requirements of HEV.
