In this study,we present a new method for the indirect integration of beam charges in external beam proton-induced X-ray emission and proton-induced c-ray emission(PIXE–PIGE) *** recorded proton spectra backscattered by a Kapton film extraction window in different sample situations and under different beam *** also simulated backscattering spectra using the simulation of backscattering spectra program(SIMNRA).We determined that in a specific geometrical arrangement,different sample situations did not significantly affect factor C_Q(the ratio between integral backscattering proton counts and integral beam charges).We also studied the reproducibility and beam current dependence of factor C_*** statistic factor of C_Q was28.95 ± 0.6 kilo counts/l C,with a relative standard deviation of 2.0 %.Significantly,in external beam PIXE–PIGE analysis,we were able to calculate beam charge integration from the integral backscattering proton counts in an energy region.

Sodium borosilicate glasses are candidate materials for high-level radioactive waste vitrification;therefore, understanding the irradiation effects in model borosilicate glass is crucial. Effects of electronic energy deposition and nuclear energy deposition induced by the impact of heavy ions on the hardness and Young’s modulus of sodium borosilicate glass were investigated. The work concentrates on sodium borosilicate glasses, henceforth termed NBS1 (60.0% SiO2, 15.0% B2O3, and 25.0% Na2O in mol%). The NBS1 glasses were irradiated by P, Kr, and Xe ions with 0.3 MeV, 4 MeV, and 5 MeV, respectively. The hardness and Young’s modulus of ion-irradiated NBS1 glasses were measured by nanoindentation tests. The relationships between the evolution of the hardness, the change in the Young’s modulus of the NBS1 glasses, and the energy deposition were investigated. With the increase in the nuclear energy deposition, both the hardness and Young’s modulus of NBS1 glasses dropped exponentially and then saturated. Regardless of the ion species, the nuclear energy depositions required for the saturation of hardness and Young’s modulus were apparent at approximately 1.2 × 10^20 keV/cm^3 and 1.8 × 10^20 keV/cm^3, respectively. The dose dependency of the hardness and Young’s modulus of NBS1 glasses was consistent with previous studies by Peuget et al. Moreover, the electronic energy loss is less than 4 keV/nm, and the electronic energy deposition is less than 3.0 × 10^22 keV/cm^3 in this work. Therefore, the evolution of hardness and Young’s modulus could have been primarily induced by nuclear energy deposition.

Th1-type cytokines produced by the stimulation of Th1-type epitopes derived from definedschistosome-associated antigens are correlated with the development of resistance to the parasite *** mansoni 28 kDa glutathione-S-transferase(Sm28GST),a major detoxification enzyme,hasbeen recognized as a vaccine candidate and a phase Ⅱ clinical trial has been carried *** immunizedwith recombinant Schistosoma japonicum 28GST(Sj28GST)have shown immune protection against theparasite *** the present study,six candidate peptides(P1,P2,P3,P4,P7 and P8)from Sj28GSTwere predicted,using software,to be T cell epitopes,and peptides P5 and P6 were designed by extendingfive amino acids at the N-terminal and C-terminal of P1,*** peptide 190-211 aa in Sj28GSTcorresponding to the Th1-type epitope(190-211 aa)identified from Sm28GST was selected and named *** nine candidate peptides were synthesized or produced as the fusion protein with thioredoxin in thepET32c(+)/BL21(DE3)*** capacity to induce a Th1-type response in vitro was measured usinglymphocyte proliferation,cytokine detection experiments and flow *** results showed that P6(73-86 aa)generated the strongest stimulation effect on T cells among the nine candidate peptides,and drovethe highest level of IFN-γ and ***,P6 is a functional Th1-type T cell epitope that is differentfrom that in Sm28GST,and will be useful for the development of effective vaccines which can triggeracquired immunity against ***,our strategy of identifying the Th1-type epitope by acombination of software prediction and experimental confirmation provides a convenient and cost-savingalternative approach to previous methods.

To understand the evolution of defects in SiC during irradiation and the influence of temperature,in situ luminescence measurements of 6H-SiC crystal samples were carried out by ion beam induced luminescence(IBIL)measurement under2 MeV H^+ at 100 K,150 K,200 K,250 K,and 300 K.A wide band(400-1000 nm)was found in the spectra at all temperatures,and the intensity of the IBIL spectra was highest at 150 K among the five temperatures.A small peak from 400 nm to 500 nm was only observed at 100 K,related with the D1 defect as a donor-acceptor pair(D-A)*** further understanding the luminescent centers and their evolution,the orange band(1.79 eV)and the green band(2.14 eV)in the energy spectrum were analyzed by Gaussian decomposition,maybe due to the donor-deep defect/conduction band-deep defect transitions and Ti related bound excition,***,a single exponential fit showed that when the temperature exceeded 150 K,the two luminescence centers’resistance to radiation was reduced.

Liquid metal(LM)has attracted immense interest as a novel catalyst in the past few years for its distinctive physicochemical properties,encompassing superior electrical and thermal conductivities,as well as exceptional fluidity characteristics at low temperatures[1].In contrast to conventional solid heterogeneous catalysts,the fluidic characteristics of liquid metal catalysts enhance the interaction between catalysts and reactants,boosting mass transfer at the reaction interface.

The North Pacific storm track(NPST)is a high-frequency area of extratropical cyclones and an important channel for water vapor and energy transfer between low and mid–high *** weather and dynamic studies in this region have made significant progress,but due to the lack of ocean surface rainfall observation data,there is a lack of statistical research on precipitation in this *** this study,statistical research on the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of NPST rainfall was conducted based on GPM DPR(Global Precipitation Measurement Dual-frequency Precipitation Radar)observation data and ERA5 atmospheric parameters,and analysis and explanations are provided based on the atmospheric *** study found that,compared to low-pressure systems,pressure gradients have a greater impact on cyclone activity and rainfall *** feature,along with the meridional distribution of high atmospheric water vapor in the North Pacific Ocean and low in the north,collectively leads to the offset of high-frequency rainfall areas relative to storm *** distribution of sea surface temperatures in the North Pacific Ocean affects the zonal distribution of storm tracks,causing weather disturbances and precipitation along the storm tracks to exhibit a northward extension from west to *** study deepens our understanding of the role of NPST in global-scale water vapor and energy balance,and is of great significance for improving the prediction accuracy of climate models with respect to rainfall generated by extratropical cyclones.

Low-dose X-ray induced long afterglow NIR luminescence from Cr3+ doped Zn1-xCdxGa2O4 spinel solid solutions

The low-dose X-ray induced long afterglow near infrared（NIR） luminescence from Cr3+doped Zn1-xCdxGa2O4spinel solid solutions was *** structure analysis shows the good formation of Zn1-xCdxGa2O4spinel solid solutions,which possesses a cubic spinel structure with Fd3m space *** formation of Zn1-xCdxGa2O4spinel solid solutions induces the obvious increase of long afterglow near infrared luminescence excited by low-dose X-ray,When the content of doped Cd2+reaches 0.1,the low-dose X-ray induced long afterglow NIR luminescence is the *** importantly,only 5 s Xray irradiation can induce more than 6 h NIR afterglow emission,of which the afterglow luminescent intensity is still 5 times stronger than the background intensity after 6 *** thermoluminescent results show that under the 5 s exposure of X-ray,the trap density of Zn0.9Cd0.1Ga2O4:Cr3+is much higher than that of ZnGa2O4:Cr3+.The replacement of Cd2+ions with large radius at Zn2+sites causes the increase of de fects and dislocations,which results in the obvious increase of trap co *** the addition of high-z number elements Cd2+would enhance the X-ray absorption of the solid solutions,which thus can be easily excited by low-dose ***0.9Cd0.1Ga2O4:1%Cr3+solid solution is a potential candidate of lowdose X-ray induced long afterglow luminescent materials.
