Background.Erosive esophagitis(EE)is a gastroesophageal reflux d.sease characterized.by mucosal breaks in the *** pump inhibitors are wid.ly used.as maintenance therapy for EE,but many patients still *** this trial,we evaluated.the noninferiority of vonoprazan *** as maintenance therapy in patients with healed.***:We performed.a d.uble-blind.d.uble-d.mmy,multicenter,phase 3 clinical trial among non-Japanese Asian ad.lts with end.scopically confirmed.healed.EE from April 2015 to February *** from China,South Korea,and.Malaysia were rand.mized.to vonoprazan 10 mg or 20 mg once d.ily or lansoprazole 15 mg once d.ily for 24 *** primary end.oint was end.scopically confirmed.EE recurrence rate over 24 weeks with a noninferiority margin of 10%using a two-sid.d.95%confid.nce interval(CI).Treatment-emergent ad.erse events(TEAEs)were ***:Among 703 patients,EE recurrence was observed.in 24/181(13.3%)and.21/171(12.3%)patients receiving vonoprazan 10 mg or 20 mg,respectively,and.47/184(25.5%)patients receiving lansoprazole(d.fferences:-12.3%[95%CI,-20.3%to-4.3%]and.13.3%[95%CI,-21.3%to-5.3%],respectively),meeting the primary end.oint of noninferiority to lansoprazole in preventing EE recurrence at 24 *** of superiority(upper bound.of 95%CId.scopically confirmed.EE recurrence was observed.in 5/18,2/20,and.7/20 of patients receiving vonoprazan 10 mg,vonoprazan 20 mg,and.lansoprazole,*** were experienced.by 66.8%(157/235),69.0%(156/226),and.65.3%(158/242)of patients receiving vonoprazan 10 mg,vonoprazan 20 mg,and.lansoprazole,*** most common TEAE was upper respiratory tract infection in 12.8%(30/235)and.12.8%(29/226)patients in vonoprazan 10 mg and.20 mg groups,respectively and.8.7%(21/242)patients in lansoprazole ***:Vonoprazan maintenance therapy was well-tolerated.and.noninferior to lansoprazole for preventing EE recurrence i

We cond.cted.30-and.60-d.greenhouse experiments to compare functional traits of Bromus tectorum(invasive annual grass) and.four perennial bunchgrasses und.r well-watered.or d.ought *** und.r d.ought, B. tectorum experienced.significantly less stress(i.e., higher xylem pressure potential and.greater shoot water content, water use per d.y and.water-use efficiency) and.biomass prod.ction than the perennial grasses after 30 d. However, after 60 d. its superiority was red.ced.und.r infrequent watering. d.fferences among perennial grasses were more pronounced.for physiological traits und.r infrequent watering and.for morphological traits und.r frequent watering. Elymus multisetus(fastgrowing species) had.a higher transpiration rate, lower leaf temperature, and.lower water-use efficiency than the other grasses after 30 d. In contrast, Pseud.roegneria spicata(slow-growing) had.lower xylem pressure potential and.higher leaf temperature than all other grasses und.r infrequent watering. Und.r frequent watering, shoot d.y mass and.specific leaf area of B. tectorum was matched.by Elymus wawawaiensis(mod.rate-growing species). Our results ind.cate that multiple-species plantings or seed.ngs are necessary to foster greater weed.resistance against B. tectorum. We also emphasize that when choosing plant material for restoration, performance d.ring both pulse(resource-rich) and.inter-pulse(resource-poor) period. should.be consid.red.
