海绵状血管畸形是发生在中枢神经系统内具有显著特征的病变，尽管其与海绵窦血管瘤在组织学方面的特征相似，但是表现各异（表1）。由于两种病变的自然病程和治疗手段不同，所以命名应该适当规范。本文对以往文献进行简要回顾。

Context: pre-eclampsia and placental malaria, are two diseases that share pathophysiological similarities, such as placental ischemia, endothelial dysfunction and production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Objective: The objective of our study was to investigate the association between placental malaria lesions and severe pre-eclampsia. Methodology: We conducted a prospective analytical cross-sectional study in two University Hospitals in the city of Yaounde (Yaounde Central Hospital and the Gynaecological Obstetrics and paediatrics Hospital), and in the laboratory of the Centre pasteur in Yaounde over an eight-month period (1st January 2021 – 1st September 2021). All patients with pre-eclampsia diagnosed according to the criteria of the International Society for the Study of Hypertension (ISSHp) and free of chronic metabolic or infectious pathology were included in this study. The patients were divided into two groups: group 1 (mild pre-eclampsia) and group 2: severe pre-eclampsia. Socio-demographic, clinical and histopathological characteristics specific to pre-eclampsia and placental malaria were investigated. Statistical analysis was performed with SpSS 23.0 software, Chi 2 was used to compare categorical variables, Student t-test was used to compare means, and logistic regression was used to assess the association between placental malaria lesions and pES. Results: The mean age of our study population was 29.93 ± 7.36 years versus 28.28 ± 7.18 years in patients with mild and severe pre-eclampsia respectively. pre-eclampsia placental lesions (accelerated villous maturation, infarction) were significantly greater in patients with severe pre-eclampsia (p Conclusion: placental malaria lesions were significantly associated with severe pre-eclampsia and increased the risk of developing severe pre-eclampsia placental lesions by a factor of 10.

purpose: This study was performed to assess the utility and safety of an In-Office INR Monitoring Device and present a safe and efficient protocol for the management of patients on oral anticoagulants and/or antithrombolytics requiring routine office oral and maxillofacial surgery. patients and Methods: Sixty-one patients requiring “minor” oral and maxillofacial surgery being treated chronically with oral anticoagulation (warfarin) were entered into the study and compared in 2 groups. The control group (n = 29) was managed by discontinuing warfarin and any anti-platelet medication(s) prior to surgery. In the study group (n = 30), the decision to continue or withhold warfarin was determined by a protocol in which patients are 1) stratified based on risk for thromboembolism, and 2) classified as requiring “major” or “minor” surgery. procedures categorized as “minor” surgery included dental extraction(s), dental implants, soft tissue and bone biopsies, and preprosthetic bone surgery, and incision and drainage. Warfarin and antiplatelet medication were not withheld in these patients, and a point-of-Care In-Office INR Monitoring Device was used to obtain INR levels on the day of consultation and surgery. Local measures including removal of granulation tissue, packing, suturing, etc. were utilized for hemostasis. Results: The 30 patients in the study group maintained on warfarin readily achieved hemostasis using intraoperative local measures. The mean INR measured by the In-Office INR Monitoring Device was 2.36 with a range from 1.3 to 3.2. Study group patients underwent a total of 131 separate procedures including 108 dental extractions (impactions), placement of dental implants, preprosthetic bony surgery, bone cyst removal, soft tissue biopsies, facial skin cancer repair, and incision and drainage. One patient (3%) required “minor” intervention with removal of a “liver clot” on postop day 2 with repacking and suturing. The 29 patients in the control group discontinued

The hepatocyte, the main cellular component of the liver, exhibits variable susceptibility to different types of injury induced by endogenous or exogenous factors. Hepatocellular dysfunction or death and regeneration are dependent upon the complicated interactions between numerous biologically active molecules. platelet- activating factor （pAF） seems to play a pivotal role as the key mediator of liver injury in the clinical and experimental setting, as implied by the beneficial effects of its receptor antagonists. A comprehensive up-to-date overview of the specific functional and regulatory properties of pAF in conditions associated with liver injury is attempted in this review.

Meiosis comprises two rounds of nuclear division following a single phase of DNA replication, leading to the production of haploid gametes and is essential for sexual reproduction in eukaryotes. Unlike mitosis, meiosis involves homologous chromosome pairing, synapsis, and recombination during prophase I. Meiotic recombination not only ensures the accurate segregation of homologs, but also redistributes alleles among offspring. DNA synthesis is a critical process during meiotic recombination, but our understanding of the proteins that execute and regulate it is limited. This review summarizes the recent advances in defining the role of DNA synthesis in meiotic recombina- tion through analyses of DNA synthesis genes, with specific emphasis on DNA polymerases （e.g., pole and polS）, replication processivity factor RFC1 and translesion polymerases （e.g., pol~）. We also present a new double strand break repair model for meiotic recombination, which includes lagging strand DNA synthesis and leading strand elongation. Finally, we propose that DNA synthesis is one of critical factors for discriminating meiotic recombination pathways and that this differentiation may be conserved among eukaryotes.

We analysed the data collected for herbaceous peony cultivated in a warm climate region and stored in winter under three constant chilling *** used the quadratic regression model to describe the stem elongation responses to winter dormancy conditions,and the logistic function to describe the weekly stems *** predicted maximal stem length from the first model was used as the input parameter for the second *** than 4000 data for various(a)chilling constant temperatures during dormancy,(b)dormancy duration,and(c)germination duration,were *** models were applied to determine the optimal number of chill *** this purpose,two criteria were used in different versions of the model:the maximal stem length and the maximal profit of *** the two chilling temperatures of 2℃ and 6℃,the optimal values of chill units(in the models of a maximal stem length and maximal profit of farmers)are close to one another,and the values of a maximal stem length and maximal profit are significantly *** the case of the third chilling temperature of 10℃,the model failed to determine the optimal number of chill *** method of inverse confidence intervals for testing the significance of the optimal number of chill units was used.

AIM To investigate the impact of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) on α2-Heremans-Schmid Glycoprotein(AHSG/fetuin A) and potential associations with disease and patient *** AHSG serum levels were determined in treatment-na?ve newly-diagnosed patients, 96 with ulcerative colitis(UC), 84 with Crohn's disease (CD), 62 with diarrheapredominant or mixed irritable bowel syndrome (IBS, D- and M- types) and 180 healthy controls (HC), by an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).All patients were followed for a minimum period of 3 years at the Gastroenterology Department of the University Hospital of Larissa, Greece. C-reactive protein(CRp), anti-glycan antibodies, anti-Saccharomyces cerevisiae mannan antibodies Ig G, anti-mannobioside carbohydrate antibodies Ig G, anti-laminariobioside carbohydrate antibodies Ig G and anti-chitobioside carbohydrate antibodies Ig A were also determined via immunonephelometry and ELISA, *** The mean ± SE of serum AHSG, following adjustment for confounders, was 0.32 ± 0.02 g/L in IBD, 0.32 ± 0.03 g/L in CD and 0.34 ± 0.03 g/L in UC patients, significantly lower than in IBS patients(0.7 ± 0.018 g/L) and HC (0.71 ± 0.02 g/L) (p parable between the CD and UC groups. Based on AHSG levels IBD patients could be distinguished from HC with about 90% sensitivity and specificity.
