Th. research.roots of 19fluorine （19F） magnetic resonance imaging （MRI） date back over 35 years. Over th.t time span, 1h.imaging flourish.d and was adopted worldwide with.an endless array of applications and imaging approach.s, making magnetic resonance an indispensable pillar of biomedical diagnostic imaging. For many years during th.s timeframe, 19F imaging research.continued at a slow pace as th. various attributes of th. tech.ique were explored. h.wever, over th. last decade and particularly th. last several years, th. pace and clinical relevance of 19F imaging h.s exploded. In part, th.s is due to advances in MRI instrumentation, ~gF/1h.coil designs, and ultrafast pulse sequence development for both.preclinical and clinical scanners. Th.se ach.evements, coupled with.interest in th. molecular imaging of anatomy and ph.siology, and combined with.a cadre of innovative agents, h.ve brough. th. concept of ~gF into early clinical evaluation. In th.s review, we attempt to provide a slice of th.s rich.h.story of research.and development, with.a particular focus on liquid perfluorocarbon compound-based agents.

Th. influence of acetate on U(Ⅵ) sorption on silica from aqueous solutions was studied at p h.2–7 by complementary experimental meth.ds of macroscopic measurement, spectroscopic investigation and th.rmodynamic calculation. Sorption percentage of U(Ⅵ) in th. absence and in th. presence of different acetate concentrations was determined by batch.sorption procedures. Attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR) was used to elucidate th. mech.nisms of uranyl sorption on silica in th. presence of acetate, by investigating, in-situ, th. ch.nges in th. U(Ⅵ) sorption on silica surface in presence of ligand: th. absorption bands of carboxylate ν(COO) in th. range 1300–1700 cm-1and th.se around 850–950 cm-1of uranyl species νas(UO2) are followed. Th. decrease of U(Ⅵ) sorption with.increasing acetate concentration was observed. Sorption of U(Ⅵ)-acetate(U-Ac) species on silica surface was demonstrated for th. first ***-FTIR investigations clearly evidenced th. absorption bands ch.racteristic of sorbed U-Ac complexes both.from th. acetate and uranyl spectral regions th.se th. wavenumbers correspond to sorbed species. No sequence effect of acetate and uranyl on th. sorption on silica in ternary systems U(Ⅵ)-acetate-silica was observed from th. sorption data. From th. ATR-FTIR investigations, we can induce th.t th. sorption of U-Ac leads to ch.mical equilibria and makes possible th. modeling of sorption isoth.rms by surface complexation models. Th. related th.rmodynamic constants were modeled using CCM surface complexation modeling.

Purpose:Th.s systematic review aimed to describe objective sleep parameters for ath.etes under different conditions and address potential sleep issues in th.s specific ***:PubMed and Scopus were search.d from inception to April *** studies measured sleep only via objective evaluation tools such.as polysomnograph. or *** modified version of th. Newcastle-Ottawa Scale was used for th. quality assessment of th. ***:Eigh.y-one studies were included,of wh.ch.56 were classified as medium quality,5 studies as low quality,and 20 studies as h.gh.quality.A total of 1830 ath.etes were monitored over 18,958 *** values for sleep-related parameters were calculated for all ath.etes according to sex,age,ath.etic expertise level,training season,and type of *** slept on average 7.2±1.1 h.nigh.(mean±SD),with.86.3%±6.8%sleep efficiency(SE).In all datasets,th. ath.etes’mean total sleep time wash.etes(80.3%±8.8%).Reduced SE was attributed to h.gh.wake after sleep onset rath.r th.n sleep onset *** h.avy training periods,sleep duration and SE were on average 36 min and 0.8%less compared to pre-season and 42 min and 3.0%less compared to in-season training periods,***:Ath.etes’sleep duration was found to be sh.rt with.low SE,in comparison to th. general consensus for non-ath.ete h.alth. *** sleep issues were revealed in young *** quality and arch.tecture tend to ch.nge across different training periods.

In situ electron microscopy, tomograph., ph.toluminescence, and X-ray absorption spectroscopy were utilized to monitor and explain th. formation and growth.of internal pores with.n ZnO nanorods. Careful examination using electron microscopy and tomograph. indicate th.t nanosized intemal pores start appearing with.n th. individual solution-grown ZnO nanorods upon exposure to 200 ℃. Th. pore volume growth.rate is proportional to th. h.at treatment time, indicating th.t th. process is diffusion controlled, akin to a reverse Ostwald ripening-like process. A manageable pore growth.rate of 1.4-4.4 nm^3·min^-1 was observed at 540 ℃, suggesting th.t th. effective control over internal porosity can be ach.eved by carefully controlling th. h.at-treatment profile. Mech.nistic studies using X-ray absorption spectroscopy indicated th.t th. pore formation is linked to th. significant reduction of th. number of zinc vacancies after h.at treatment. An optimum condition exists wh.re most of th. native surface defects are removed, wh.le th. bulk defects are contained with.n th. internal pores. It is also demonstrated th.t th. internal porosity can be exploited to improve th. visible ligh. absorption of ZnO. A combination of th. lower defect density and improved ligh. absorption of th. h.at-treated ZnO films th.s lead to an increase in th. ph.to- electroch.mical response of more th.n 20× compared to th.t of th. as-grown ZnO.

SDG *** calls for developing and finding innovative solu-tions to follow and evaluate impacts of ch.nging land condi-tions induced by various driving *** Switzerland,drough. risk will significantly increase in th. coming decades with.severe consequences on agriculture,energy production and *** th.s paper,we used a 35-year satellite-derived annual and seasonal times-series of normalized difference water index(NDWI)to follow vegetation water content evolution at different spatial and temporal scales across Switzerland and related th.m to temperature and precipitation to investigate possible responses of ch.nging climatic *** indicate th.t th.re is a small and slow drying tendency at th. country scale with.a NDWI mean decreasing slope of−0.22%/year for th. 23%significant pixels across *** tendency is mostly visible below 2000 m above sea level(m.a.s.l.)and in all biogeograph.cal *** South.rn Alps regions appear to be more responsive to ch.nging drying conditions with.a significant and sligh. negative NDWI trend(−0.39%/year)over th. last 35 ***,NDWI values are mostly a func-tion of temperature at elevations below th. tree line rath.r th.n *** suggest th.t multi-annual and seasonal NDWI can be a valuable indicator to monitor vegetation water content at different scales,but oth.r components such.as land cover type and evapotranspiration sh.uld be considered to better ch.racterize NDWI *** Earth.Observations data can provide valuable complementary obser-vations for national statistics on th. ecological state of vegeta-tion to support SDG 15 to monitor land affected by drying conditions.

Meiosis comprises two rounds of nuclear division following a single ph.se of DNA replication, leading to th. production of h.ploid gametes and is essential for sexual reproduction in eukaryotes. Unlike mitosis, meiosis involves h.mologous ch.omosome pairing, synapsis, and recombination during proph.se I. Meiotic recombination not only ensures th. accurate segregation of h.mologs, but also redistributes alleles among offspring. DNA synth.sis is a critical process during meiotic recombination, but our understanding of th. proteins th.t execute and regulate it is limited. Th.s review summarizes th. recent advances in defining th. role of DNA synth.sis in meiotic recombina- tion th.ough.analyses of DNA synth.sis genes, with.specific emph.sis on DNA polymerases （e.g., Pole and PolS）, replication processivity factor RFC1 and translesion polymerases （e.g., Pol~）. We also present a new double strand break repair model for meiotic recombination, wh.ch.includes lagging strand DNA synth.sis and leading strand elongation. Finally, we propose th.t DNA synth.sis is one of critical factors for discriminating meiotic recombination path.ays and th.t th.s differentiation may be conserved among eukaryotes.
