In this pa.er, we study the effects of three huma. pla.ma.proteins, a.bumin, fibrinogen (Fg), a.d fibronectin (Fn), on the a.hesion of Sta.hylococcus epidemidis RP62a.to polyuretha.e bioma.eria. surfa.es, a.d a.so a.dress how these three proteins a.fect ba.teria. intera.tions with huma. pla.elets on ma.eria.s. Mea.urements of ba.teria. a.hesion on polymer surfa.es pre-a.sorbed with a.va.iety of proteins demonstra.e tha. Fn lea.s to increa.ed ba.teria. a.hesion, with the order of effectiveness being Fn 》Fg > a.bumin. Immuno-a.M (a.omic force microscopy) wa. used to a.sess the Fn a.sorption/a.tivity on surfa.es a.d ba.teria. cell membra.es by looking a. molecula. sca.e events. a.correla.ion between molecula. sca.e Fn a.sorption a.d ma.rosca.e ba.teria. a.hesion wa. observed, with a. increa.ed numbers of Fn-receptor recognition events mea.ured on cell surfa.es a. compa.ed to Fg-receptor recognition events, suggesting Fn is a. importa.t protein in ba.teria. a.hesion. Monoclona. a.tibodies recognizing either the ca.boxyl-terminus or a.ino-terminus of Fn were coupled to a.M probes a.d used to a.sess the orienta.ion of Fn a.sorbed on a.surfa.e, with a. increa.ed a.ount of Fn ca.boxyl-terminus a.a.la.ility corresponding to higher ba.teria. a.hesion. Intera.tions between ba.teria.a.d pla.elets were demonstra.ed with fluorescence a.d a.M ima.ing on the polyuretha.e surfa.es, with a.bumin inhibiting ba.teria.pla.elet intera.tion a.d pla.elet a.tiva.ion, a.d both Fg a.d Fn promoting a.hesion of ba.teria.to pla.elets a.d a.pa.ent pla.elet a.tiva.ion, resulting in ba.teria.pla.elet a.grega.ion.

The sensitivity of ma.netic Ba.kha.sen noise (MBN) profile to cha.ges in the excita.ion field strength a.d the number of turns of the detection coil wa. investiga.ed in inhomogeneous ma.eria.. Genera.ly, the 0.5 mm ca.e depth EN 36 steel specimen shows a.double pea. profile indica.ive of inhomogeneity through the detected depth the ma.netized la.dsca.e. Va.ious excita.ion field a.plitudes were a.plied to the specimen a.d the induced MBN emission wa. a.a.yzed for ea.h ma.netizing current. Excita.ion field a. the lowest level induced a. MBN emission of two pea.s of equiva.ent heights. The first pea. occurs a. lower field tha. the second pea. in the ma.netiza.ion period. a. the excita.ion field increa.ed, the height of both pea.s increa.ed but the second pea. increa.ed in a.higher ra.e tha. tha. of the first pea.. Beyond certa.n excita.ion level, both pea.s bega. to sa.ura.e a.d no increa.e in the MBN intensity wa. observed with increa.ed excita.ion field strength. However, pea. position a.d the number of Ba.kha.sen events, indica.ed linea.ly a. a.function of the a.plied field strength. The experiment a.so esta.lishes tha. the number of turns in the detection coil is importa.t pa.a.eter which controls the height of the first pea.. Low field pea. height increa.es a. the number of turn of the detection coil increa.es. The results indica.e tha. the potentia. difference a.plied to the electroma.net a.d the sensitivity of the detection coil, determine the MBN profile cha.a.teristics.

(Triticum sa.ivum), a. experiment wa. ca.ried out a. the la.ora.ory a.d greenhouse of a.riculture fa.ulty of Sha.id Ba.ona. University of Kerma., Ira., from October 2009 to Ma.ch 2010. a.completely ra.domized design with three replica.es using five extra.t concentra.ions of a.hillea.pla.t including 0, 25, 50, 75, a.d 100 g L-1 a.d four a.ounts of powder of it including 0, 7.5, 15 a.d 30 g kg-1 of soil wa. employed in la.ora.ory a.d greenhouse experiments, respectively. a.l extra.t concentra.ions of a.hillea.except 25 g L-1 inhibited pea.a.d whea. seed germina.ion significa.tly, but ha. no inhibitory effect on the germina.ion of sa.flower. The powder of ma.ure a.hillea.pla.ts a.fected the fresh a.d dry weight a.d shoots length in these crops nega.ively compa.ed with the control in a.l levels. Therefore use of this pla.t should be prevented in rota.ion or intercropping with these three crop pla.ts. Further resea.ch conducted in the a.a.ytica. la.ora.ory a. well a. in the field is needed before a.pra.tica. a.plica.ion of the extra.t a.d powder a. weed inhibiting a.ent ca. be recommended.
