Obstacle removal in crowd evacuation is critical to safety and the evacuation system efficiency. Recently, manyresearchers proposed game theoreticmodels to avoid and remove obstacles for crowd evacuation. Game theoreticalmodels aim to study and analyze the strategic behaviors of individuals within a crowd and their interactionsduring the evacuation. Game theoretical models have some limitations in the context of crowd evacuation. Thesemodels consider a group of individuals as homogeneous objects with the same goals, involve complex mathematicalformulation, and cannot model real-world scenarios such as panic, environmental information, crowds that movedynamically, etc. The proposed work presents a game theoretic model integrating an agent-based model to removethe obstacles from exits. The proposed model considered the parameters named: (1) obstacle size, length, andwidth, (2) removal time, (3) evacuation time, (4) crowd density, (5) obstacle identification, and (6) route selection.The proposed work conducts various experiments considering different conditions, such as obstacle types, obstacleremoval, and several obstacles. Evaluation results show the proposed model’s effectiveness compared with existingliterature in reducing the overall evacuation time, cell selection, and obstacle removal. The study is potentially usefulfor public safety situations such as emergency evacuations during disasters and calamities.

Prediction of promiscuous T-cell epitopes in the Zika virus polyprotein:An in silico approach

Objective:To predict immunogenic promiscuous T-cell epitopes from the polyprotein of the Zika virus using a range of bioinformatics tools.To date,no epitope data are available for the Zika virus in the IEDB database.Methods:We retrieved nearly 54 full length polyprotein sequences of the Zika virus from the NCBI database belonging to different outbreaks.A consensus sequence was then used to predict the promiscuous T cell epitopes that bind MHC 1 and MHC II alleles using Propred1 and Propred immunoinformatic algorithms respectively.The antigencity predicted score was also calculated for each predicted epitope using the Vaxi Jen 2.0 tool.Results:By using Pro Pred1,23 antigenic epitopes for HLA class I and 48 antigenic epitopes for HLA class II were predicted from the consensus polyprotein sequence of Zika virus.The greatest number of MHC class I binding epitopes were projected within the NS5(21%),followed by Envelope(17%).For MHC class II,greatest number of predicted epitopes were in NS5(19%) followed by the Envelope,NS1 and NS2(17% each).A variety of epitopes with good binding affinity,promiscuity and antigenicity were predicted for both the HLA classes.Conclusion:The predicted conserved promiscuous T-cell epitopes examined in this study were reported for the first time and will contribute to the imminent design of Zika virus vaccine candidates,which will be able to induce a broad range of immune responses in a heterogeneous HLA population.However,our results can be verified and employed in future efficacious vaccine formulations only after successful experimental studies.

Heat Transfer of Casson Fluid over a Vertical Plate with Arbitrary Shear Stress and Exponential Heating

The basic objective of this work is to study the heat transfer of Casson fluid of non-Newtonian nature.The fluid is considered over a vertical plate such that the plate exhibits arbitrary wall shear stress at the boundary.Heat transfers due to exponential plate heating and natural convection are due to buoyancy force.Magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)analysis in the occurrence of a uniform magnetic field is also considered.The medium over the plate is porous and hence Darcy’s law is applied.The governing equations are established for the velocity and temperature fields by the usual Boussinesq approximation.The problem is first written in dimensionless form using some useful non-dimensional quantities and then solved.The exact analysis is performed and hence solutions via integral transform are established.The analysis of various pertinent parameters on temperature distribution and velocity field are reported graphically.It is found that pours medium permeability parameter retards the fluid motion whereas,velocity decreases with increasing magnetic parameter.Velocity and temperature decrease with increasing Prandtl number whereas the Grashof number enhances the fluid motion.Further,it is concluded from this study that the results obtained here are more general and in a limiting sense several other solutions can be recovered.The Newtonian fluid results can be easily established by taking the Casson parameter infinitely large i.e.,whenβ→∞.

Rice and wheat provide nearly 40%of human calorie and protein requirements.They share a common ancestor and belong to the Poaceae(grass)family.Characterizing their genetic homology is crucial for developing new cultivars with enhanced traits.Several wheat genes and gene families have been characterized based on their rice orthologs.Rice–wheat orthology can identify genetic regions that regulate similar traits in both crops.Rice–wheat comparative genomics can identify candidate wheat genes in a genomic region identified by association or QTL mapping,deduce their putative functions and biochemical pathways,and develop molecular markers for marker-assisted breeding.A knowledge of gene homology facilitates the transfer between crops of genes or genomic regions associated with desirable traits by genetic engineering,gene editing,or wide crossing.

Emotion Recognition in Conversations(ERC)is fundamental in creating emotionally intelligentmachines.Graph-BasedNetwork(GBN)models have gained popularity in detecting conversational contexts for ERC tasks.However,their limited ability to collect and acquire contextual information hinders their effectiveness.We propose a Text Augmentation-based computational model for recognizing emotions using transformers(TA-MERT)to address this.The proposed model uses the Multimodal Emotion Lines Dataset(MELD),which ensures a balanced representation for recognizing human emotions.Themodel used text augmentation techniques to producemore training data,improving the proposed model’s accuracy.Transformer encoders train the deep neural network(DNN)model,especially Bidirectional Encoder(BE)representations that capture both forward and backward contextual information.This integration improves the accuracy and robustness of the proposed model.Furthermore,we present a method for balancing the training dataset by creating enhanced samples from the original dataset.By balancing the dataset across all emotion categories,we can lessen the adverse effects of data imbalance on the accuracy of the proposed model.Experimental results on the MELD dataset show that TA-MERT outperforms earlier methods,achieving a weighted F1 score of 62.60%and an accuracy of 64.36%.Overall,the proposed TA-MERT model solves the GBN models’weaknesses in obtaining contextual data for ERC.TA-MERT model recognizes human emotions more accurately by employing text augmentation and transformer-based encoding.The balanced dataset and the additional training samples also enhance its resilience.These findings highlight the significance of transformer-based approaches for special emotion recognition in conversations.

MWCNTs/SWCNTs Nanofluid Thin Film Flow over a Nonlinear Extending Disc: OHAM Solution

The aim of this research is the improvement towards the consumption of energy in the field of engineering and industry. The efforts have been paid to the enhancement of heat transmission and cooling process through a nanofluid coating of a nonlinear stretching disc. The combination of Water(H2 O) and multiple walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNT)/single walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNT) have been used as a nanofluid. The spreading of a thin nano-layer with variable thickness over a nonlinear and radially stretching surface has been considered. The estimated results of the problem have been accomplished using the Optimal Homotopy Analysis Method(OHAM). The residual errors of the OHAM method have been shown physically and numerically. The important physical parameters of skin friction and Nusselt number have been calculated and discussed. The other embedding parameters like generalized magnetic parameter, Prantl number, nanofluid volume fraction and Eckert number have been intended and discussed. The obtained results have been compared with the Numerical(ND-Solve) method for both sorts of CNTs. The closed agreement of both methods has been achieved.

Impact of Fractures and Diagenesis on Reservoir Potential of Inner Ramp Paleocene Carbonates Exposed in Western Part of the Lesser Himalayas of Pakistan

The outcrop investigations provide a better comprehension to interrelate facies-diagenesis and fracture networks for the evaluation of reservoir potential of the carbonate rocks.In this paper,we targeted Kahi-Section(Nizampur Basin)and Peeran Tangai-Section(Kalachitta Range)to analyze structural-kinematics,Discrete Fracture Network Modelling,microfacies identification and diagenesis to interpret their impact on reservoir potential of Lockhart Limestone(Paleocene).The structural grain within the study area mostly represents the typical east-west trending tight to overturned folds and north-dipping thrust faults that mimic the north-south Indo-Eurasian collision.However,a second phase of deformation related to east-west compressions also identified which rotated the axes of preexisting structures.Fracture analysis revealed that extensional fractures are oriented at high angle to bedding and are differentiated into three orthogonal sets trending northeast-southwest,northwest-southeast and east-west,whereas,the shear fractures formed two conjugate sets trending northeastsouthwest.The Lockhart Limestone was deposited in the inner ramp setting and microfacies types are packstone,wackestone and wacke-packstone with seven sub-microfacies types.It has been identified that the Lockhart Limestone has the heterogeneous distribution of diagenetic and tectonic features throughout its extent.The observed diagenetic sequence is micritization,calcite cementation,dissolution,neomorphism,pyritization and compaction.The results highlight that open and partially filled fractures may provide an interconnected network to promote fluid mobility,leading to higher values of fracture permeability.The porosity values of the pore matrix were greater than fracture,resulting a significant impact on reservoir storage capacity.In contrast,a negative impact on reservoir potential has been shown by stylolites,veins and dissolution seams.However,based on the overall studies,the Lockhart Limestone revealed the prospect of a good reservoir unit in th

Nowadays some new ideas of fractional derivatives have been used successfully in the present research community to study different types of mathematical models.Amongst them,the significant models of fluids and heat or mass transfer are on priority.Most recently a new idea of fractal-fractional derivative is introduced;however,it is not used for heat transfer in channel flow.In this article,we have studied this new idea of fractal fractional operators with power-law kernel for heat transfer in a fluid flow problem.More exactly,we have considered the free convection heat transfer for a Newtonian fluid.The flow is bounded between two parallel static plates.One of the plates is heated constantly.The proposed problem is modeled with a fractal fractional derivative operator with a power-law kernel and solved via the Laplace transform method to find out the exact solution.The results are graphically analyzed via MathCad-15 software to study the behavior of fractal parameters and fractional parameter.For the influence of temperature and velocity profile,it is observed that the fractional parameter raised the velocity and temperature as compared to the fractal operator.Therefore,a combined approach of fractal fractional explains the memory of the function better than fractional only.

Carbon-based composites, including carbon reinforced composites and carbon-matrix composites, in defence technologies have raised a lot of attention due to its significant physical capabilities, superior thermal and mechanical stability, and its eco-friendly nature. Carbon-based composite which incorporating with various carbonaceous materials such as coke, char, black carbon, activated carbon, carbon fibre and other carbon nanomaterials (carbon nanotubes, carbon nanofibres, graphene and graphite) are the greatest viable option for the development of advanced defence technologies. In this review article the characteristics of carbon-based materials and its composites are discussed for their distinct application in defence sectors;aeronautics, maritime, automotive, electronics, energy storage, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and structures. The origin of carbonaceous materials and its production techniques were discussed. Carbon-based composites have a promising future in defence technology, particularly in chemical sensors, drug delivery agents, radar technologies, and nanocomposites due to their low cost, easy availability, flexibility in design and processing.

Projection of precipitation extremes over South Asia from CMIP6 GCMs

Extreme precipitation events are one of the most dangerous hydrometeorological disasters,often resulting in significant human and socio-economic losses worldwide.It is therefore important to use current global climate models to project future changes in precipitation extremes.The present study aims to assess the future changes in precipitation extremes over South Asia from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)Global Climate Models(GCMs).The results were derived using the modified Mann-Kendall test,Sen's slope estimator,student's t-test,and probability density function approach.Eight extreme precipitation indices were assessed,including wet days(RR1mm),heavy precipitation days(RR10mm),very heavy precipitation days(RR20mm),severe precipitation days(RR50mm),consecutive wet days(CWD),consecutive dry days(CDD),maximum 5-day precipitation amount(RX5day),and simple daily intensity index(SDII).The future changes were estimated in two time periods for the 21^(st) century(i.e.,near future(NF;2021-2060)and far future(FF;2061-2100))under two Shared Socioeconomic Pathway(SSP)scenarios(SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5).The results suggest increases in the frequency and intensity of extreme precipitation indices under the SSP5-8.5 scenario towards the end of the 21^(st) century(2061-2100).Moreover,from the results of multimodel ensemble means(MMEMs),extreme precipitation indices of RR1mm,RR10mm,RR20mm,CWD,and SDII demonstrate remarkable increases in the FF period under the SSP5-8.5 scenario.The spatial distribution of extreme precipitation indices shows intensification over the eastern part of South Asia compared to the western part.The probability density function of extreme precipitation indices suggests a frequent(intense)occurrence of precipitation extremes in the FF period under the SSP5-8.5 scenario,with values up to 35.00 d for RR1mm and 25.00-35.00 d for CWD.The potential impacts of heavy precipitation can pose serious challenges to the study area regarding flooding,soil erosion,water resource management,food se
